Awesome work! I especially like the portrait of Harry Markopolos - you really anchored in his mental fortitude.
Re: Penn magazine dedicates 100 pages to my whistleblower portraits
That's quite a project you took on, Doug.
I applaud you, resoundingly.... Your mastery of the craft is obvious but it's your expressiveness of these souls that comes through. You give them a place, you honor them in color and line. These brave souls.
I hope this gets a wide audience and some shows, and a long tour, Doug. Those back to back of David Icke and Gary Webb are very striking. Icke looks like he's staring into the abyss. Max Spiers, Wilhelm Reich... wow. You even managed to make Kerry quite pretty ;)

Wow Doug. That's some publication. I can't wait to give it, and your portraits, my attention. Good on you. Bless you brother. :flower:
Re: Penn magazine dedicates 100 pages to my whistleblower portraits
Doug, I went to your website to read some of the bios of the whistleblowers and can't find where they are. I was interested because the beginnings of the bios in the magazine were so well written and intriguing.
I was thinking what a beautiful book that series would make.
Re: Penn magazine dedicates 100 pages to my whistleblower portraits

Re: Penn magazine dedicates 100 pages to my whistleblower portraits
Beautiful work PainterDoug. Much appreciation for your efforts and putting it all in one place.
There are so many who have sacrificed themselves to ridicule, loss of income, family, and life itself so the people could have a chance to break free.
You have offered us a truly RARE GEM.
