A family's getaway to a luxurious rental home takes an ominous turn when a cyberattack knocks out their devices — and two strangers appear at their door.
Yesterday I bookmarked it on my Netflix list. Will watch it soon and then add a comment.

Re: Movie: Leave the World Behind
Just watched it last night. Can't say I'm surprised it coming from Netflix, fits their overall agenda to a tee, which appears to be the same agenda they're pushing in real life. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? It really makes one wonder about just how much power these screens in our homes and hands have in manifesting that agenda. Overall, some good actors and acting, but I grow weary of the end of the world, doom and gloom story. They've been aggressively pushing this narrative since at least the turn of the millennium. I almost felt guilty for watching it, you know what I mean?

Hello,
It reminds me of that evil/mind virus via threatre shows you want they will do, before their plans take fruit.
Watching this seemed like a comedy until you watch it all and bearing in mind what we know, causes me to hmmmmm.

Hello,
Has anyone else watched this movie and got "vibes" that this is going to likley happen?

It may take a couple of hours to download depending on internet speeds though. I'll save this for viewing, perhaps later, if it isn't too late here

A heads up. The movie is in Spanish.
Ah, good spot, thanks.
This one is English but with another language subtitles (Indonesian? Thai?), which don't seem to intrude too much.
Watched the movie earlier today, a few lines of dialogue that caused my eyes to roll ...
A conspiracy theory about a shadowy group of people running the world is far too lazy of an explanation.
Especially when the truth is much scarier.
What is the truth?
No one is in control.
No one is pulling the strings.
It seemed an intentional bit of script to state there's no cabal behind the nefarious plot.
Thought the film was Ok ish. thought the ambiguous ending was good.
Added note: just read the Obamas also worked/ colaborated on this movie!

Agreed mizo. That line, "No one is in control," really put up a red flag for me too. More Netflix propaganda.

It reminds me of the 1986 movie Maximum Overdrive where machines target humans. At 1:01 there's a Green Goblin that the Face Peelers in Peru have been compared to.
This is a trailer for The Stand also by Stephen King. The evil faction is located in Las Vagas. This is a Dailymail article from yesterday about people moving to Las Vegas.

At 10:38 there's a car going around a traffic circle. In Peter Moon's book he talked about frequencies being emitted from Montauk that would make deer run out of the forest. Clusters of oddly behaving deer were depicted in the movie. The name of the oil tanker that ran aground was called the White Lion. White Tesla self-driving cars were intentionally blocking roads & the leaflets dropped from the sky had a white dragon on them that later appeared red. Benjamin Fulford speaks of a White Dragon Society and the Draco are also referred to as dragons. In one scene it shows the American flag on the moon during a lunar ecplise or new moon.
P120. There’s a planetary cross point at Montauk Air force Base which is within a traffic circle. It’s a common theme since WWI for military bases to be placed on grid points of the planet.
The son Archie wears an "Obey" t-shirt with Andre The Giant's image. This is artwork by Shepard Fairey who is best known for his Barack Obama "Hope" artwork. Barack & Michele Obama serve as Executive Producers on this film.
There are two pictures I recall seeing but can't locate. One was a giant man wearing a space suit in the cargo bay of the space shuttle. The other which I believe happened during Trump's administration was a giant man wearing a suit near a plane, possibly Air Force One.
The NASA logo has Orion, Pleiades & Alpha Draconis on it. Our planet is in the middle of a war between those groups. The Space Force logo has Alpha Draconis on it.
According to British conspiracy theorist David Icke, Alpha Draconis is the origin of blood-drinking, shape-shifting reptilians who lurk in underground bases on Earth and plot against humanity (with the aid of powerful figures including royalty).[19]

Obamas producers?
The only thing those "people" can produce is just steaming piles... :bad:
Thanks for the warning, no need to pollute my brain! :flower:

Re: Movie: Leave the World Behind
FALSE FLAG 2024
Officials at the WEF are promising -- much like both Gates and Fauci promised a pandemic breakout during Trump's term in office -- a major cyberattack that will bring society to a standstill at some time over the next 12 months: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y36ZEKYMvzM
These "predictions" have an alarming success rate, which should be cause for major subpoena powers to be unleashed right there, but alas, that is not the Rainbow Connection world we currently inhabit.
Additionally, this scenario is sounding very much like the setup needed to usher in a financial collapse (which was always intended), which will in turn domino the need for the sinister CBDCs to be implemented worldwide. Which, as those of us paying attention are well aware, equals the rollout of The Chip. Yet again something else that was always intended.
Your ability to buy and sell, your identity itself, the ability to access the internet...all will be linked to whether or not you are digitally "viable," i.e., if you are chipped. Hopefully, this will be the line in the sand for humanity saying an absolute "No!" to being ultimately, existentially, controlled in mind and body. Our chance to stay human and mount any kind of counterattack is at stake with this perhaps even more than with the vaxx, where there are still methods of natural chelation (see the substacks of both Karen Kingston and Ana Mihalcea to name just 2), to offset many of the effects.
As has been rightly observed this is a 'classic' Netflixian creation, but, in my view, worth watching if nothing else for the clear mission statement inherent in its messaging, or stated differently perhaps to an audience such as ours, the malevolent intent of our adversaries laid bare: a warning, obviously. There have been worse films made - this one may have dodged the passata, just.
It's certainly more than a brain fart but falls short of a classic.
Producer provenance aside the actual production and direction gave a very subtle nod toward Kubrick but a blanched version (the aforementioned T-shirt references an obvious one, exempting the Bikini Kill adornment; corridor scenes reminiscent of treatments in 'The Shining') and hinted - a little - at M. Night Shyamalan's 'The Village'. And the denouement was quite neat too; I actually didn't see that one coming, but felt it was a little rushed.
For a contemporary piece it didn't hare along with the what has become customary sensory bombardment of 2-second long cuts. There were also moments when the pace reminded one more of an ensemble piece, so it's an attempt to create something a little more mature.
Mahershala Ali (G.H Scott) and Julia Roberts (Amanda Sanford) bring some levity to the storyline which was based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Rumaan Alam. Having not read the book though I don't know what may have been omitted from the film that could or should have been included.
If a negative criticism were to be levelled at this film it would be the predictably lame attempt to smear by way of that all too jaded and inane "conspiracy theory" demonism. Still, we've become somewhat inured to that here.
For me, I'd have loved to have seen how David Lynch might have approached this. It may have been worth an extra 40 minutes drawing out some of the scenes a little.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? :sherlock:
Some dark entities knew what it's going to come ... and prepare public with what today is know as predictive programing:
Film: The Manchurian Candidate , Release date: October 24,1962
Film plot: Bad Communist Chinese (yesterday/today/check always outside...)"brainwash " brave US soldiers...
"brainwashing" was the term, at the same time in REALITY called MK Ultra (Mind control) with "K" because his NAZI experiments origin, was "studied" on
plain Joes and Janes...over all US...but not from Chinese...

Wow!
I like this term proffered: "Netflixian". Perfect. Super annoying spoiled young females. Self-important, tatt-covered, big-mouthed ...brat. And business savvy, well-traveled Julia just goes along with this piece-of-work... sure.
What is with the deer - did I miss that?
I won't even waste my words on the preposterous stance of "Let's just wait around and see what happens." Would YOU sit around? And of course, when things get dicey, you should always resort to mind altering substances.
I think that the script falls way short of emulating fear. Just cliché crap.
Ethan Hawke is a decent actor - and he signed on to play yet another wimpy, weak and useless "husband"? At least his character stated as much. The paycheck must have been good.
Mahershala Ali: what a waste. WHY?? Again, the paycheck must have been good. Compare to Green Book, or better still: True Detective
Kevin Bacon... big bux for cliché crapolla.
Michael [sic] Obama and the overlords try to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing. Uh huh, sure, okay - you're good... we're cool.
