Accordingly, the US is under siege as in olden days when castles were surrounded and all supplies cut out... therefore, a 3-months survival reserve might not be enough. Alex Collier suggests having enough reserves to last over 8 months.
When I first read it, I was suspicious because it was so well-written. That guy is a good storyteller and knows how to set the scene, to suck in the reader. However, I then realised that just because he's an engaging writer doesn't mean that his story is fiction and the reason it's resonating with me is because the kind of scenario being painted in his article is exactly what I have been fearing about Drake's 'plan', in that it would cause Civil War and mass rioting on the streets in which innocent people would be killed ...and it would be a great excuse to bring in the Stormtroopers, which I get the impression some in the US are itching for. Even Drake's proposed three-day shutdown of power and bank closures, with the borders sealed, would be enough to cause riots in many cities in the UK.
But let's just say, hypothetically, that we all in the alternative community did believe in Drake's 'plan'. In terms of numbers, we would be just a drop in the ocean of what could be a raging tsunami of rampaging discontented mobs who don't give a flying fig about sovereignty or the Constitution. It took a lot less than a three day shutdown of the Machine last summer to bring out those kinds of rioters here, which is why this bit rang so true to me:

Last summer, I found myself fervently praying that the police would put down the riots before they got to me and set my house on fire. It took the police three days to get it under control... and even then, I think, it was partly because the rioters had got all the trainers and designer sports gear that they could carry and had run out steam. They 'shopped' till they dropped, in other words.
Ishtar, that is shocking news coming from England as that country is much more conservative in their public mannerisms than the U.S.. I left RAF Bentwaters in 1992 and hated to go, but if the U.S. falls into riots I can almost guarantee that they will be far worse as many people in the inner cities are hardly any better than wolves.

Reads like the far-right spin on economic turmoil. Blame Obama, blame government, then insist that Obama's racially dividing while calling him by his middle name, a known racist attempt at dog whistling from the last election, and then pepper in a hefty dose of "Oooh! Don't put the Rich against the poor!" which is really code for "We don't want the poor to realize how badly they're getting screwed! Quick, let's give them someone else to blame so we can keep pilfering their lives with the same corporate capitalist ponzi scheme!" Trayvon Martin's case was definitely politicized but when people talk about that they miss what the angle was, namely that the only outstanding factor was that THIS one case of racial injustice finally was made public by the MSM and trumpeted when similar instances or racist violence in southern states get regularly covered up.Quote:

The investor class has been known to work predominantly through the far-right side of the political spectrum to try and convince people not to blame them or the banks for the things they do. Not that the left isn't being manipulated as well but in an entirely different way, the far right is the side that gets galvanized into violent response and the left is manipulated into appearing as a convenient straw man for the investors to use to goad the right-wing reactionaries into action. It's still a kabuki run from both sides, it's just that how either side is run is entirely different from the rest.
In the case of the left they're made to appear far more menacing as they are, to keep them from being able to form a sensible dialogue with the other side of the political spectrum (when serious compromise might be possible if both sides can set a baseline for negotiations and is wiling to fully consider good-faith compromises, and is willing to admit to faults and concede to the other side graciously when debating practical implementations of solutions.) I can't say I really know what the full story is, but if I were to hazard a guess I'd say that this is part of a play to try and peel off as many right-wing types as possible from supporting any government action done while we have a Democratic President. It's laced with all of the typical scare-words used to conjure up scary memories of Soviet Russia and other situations that tend to work to motivate the right to the polls, it's got dog whistles to racists, and it's filled with a narrative meant to demonize any of the current political forces that might, in some way provide benefit to the poor (demonizing Keynesianism and progressives, traditionally the political force associated with programs which provide aid to the poor.)
So it reads like a press release put out by someone who purposefully wants you to blame the coming economic collapse solely on progressives/democrats and anti-poverty programs so that after the collapse the Rich can make out like bandits.

The Invasion of Coconut Grove, Miami
A joint drill between military and police in South Florida involving troops storming a building in the middle of the night was characterized by local media coverage not as a frightening example of how Americans are being acclimatized to accept a state of martial law but as a ‘cool tourist story’.
Panic-stricken residents in Coconut Grove were awoken at 1am to the sound of simulated gunfire and explosions as military helicopters hovered over buildings and dispatched troops to the ground.
The Department of Defense drills prompted a deluge of 911 calls, but instead of asking why the military is terrifying American citizens on U.S. soil with drills designed to acclimate the public to accept martial law, local news station WSVN-TV framed the incident as a ‘cool tourist story’.

This is definitely happening. I've been studying it in depth for over a decade and with my aspergers I can focus hard. I've read in excess of 20,000 hours on it but getting people to believe it is almost impossible. It's why I live in a wigwam surrounded by trees and gardens. I've been preparing for it since I confirmed the problem is real.
It's called cascading systems failure and it's the result of a system dependent for its existence on growth hitting physical limits.

The financial side is just a symptom of the greater problem. I've never studied anything as intensely as this before, you wouldn't believe how frustrating it is to be disbelieved on this by almost everyone because once you get your head round the problem it is so simple to understand. They offer another way of looking at things. Too late, perhaps, for us, but maybe a way out of the depths for our great-grandchildren, if anyone survives.

Remember social capital is more important than fiat money. Co-operation not competition.

This relates directly to the issues as they apply to Jacque Fresco's 'Venus Project' which in 25 years of activity has managed next to nothing of use. Please see this thread at Avalon that discussed both the Venus Project and its activist arm: the Zeitgeist movement. I coudnt agree less. As someone who could hear the police sirens during the riots, as I sat in my house.. I am not an outsider looking through a fluffy lense. Those kids were unparented, uneducated, brainwashed, bored, suffering from AD, people in need of love and attention. And as you well know, the community spirit that got together to clear up the mess those kids made was heartwarming beyond belief. Those kids actually just wanted a group activity.. they were BORED. The materialism was a big red herring. They wanted to feel good about themselves.. it isnt that they feel so bad about other people, that is a mask covering their sense of defeat and neediness. Talk to those kids with any warmth and humour and they respond like dogs in a rescue shelter.Quote:

I live in a wigwam on a Permaculture farm and I'm in the middle of my diploma in applied Permaculture. I used to have a suburban self sufficiency system set up in East Manchester but I didn't feel safe there as far too few people were interested in prepping.Quote:

Alot of people have started talking about fiat money and fractional reserve banking. Many may not be aware that this has been discussed by Permaculturists since the 80's. The general consensus appears, to me at least, to be 'give unto Caesar that which is Caesar' (all you Christians don't have a heart attack at me referencing the Bible lol) and just create different forms of exchange, that largely ignore the State sanctioned monetary system, or simply share (ie give away) what is surplus to requirements (I am referring to local groups here, not farming operations which by necessity operate either within or on the edge of the State sanctioned monetary system). From memory the final chapter of 'Permaculture: A Designers Manual', the exhaustive tome by Mollison, lays out alternate systems of localised community management and (again this is from memory) includes alternate currencies, legal entities (to be able to work within the system), worker cooperatives (in particular Mondragon) and "sustainable" (though I always prefer the term "self reliant") community development.
Always remember that, as Dave said in the above presentation, 'Permaculture is a subversive process'. Those who try to ridicule it refer to it as "only a form of organic agriculture done by hippies" or focus on areas of legitimate contention in relation to organic system processes, but we understand it is a form of decentralised grass root activism aimed at overcoming the present system of imbalance and presenting an alternative societal design structure, which is not based on the ever increasing economic "growth" models of capitalist rhetoric, but on people knowing people and working to produce a future, not a profit.

This makes no sense. He is talking as if we had a Constitutional Republic before Obama was elected. Did we have a Constitutional Republic while Bush Jr. was in office? Or did we have a Constitutional Republic while Clinton was in office? Bush Sr.? Reagan? Carter? Nixon? I don't THINK so...!!!
The fact is, I still believe something my history teacher taught me in high school -- and he went into a lot of detail and explanations I no longer can recall -- but the bottom line that I learned was this: the President of the United States has very little power. Most Presidents as far as I can tell have been "handled" (excepting Bush Sr. who was a handler himself and an ex-CIA Director). Yes, in some ways it is a key position; but in many more ways, it is not. And to act like Obama invented the rush to NWO status is sheer naivete.
I don't know who Obama really is. When he first ran for office I got a good feeling about him, but I was 100% skeptical -- not because he didn't seem like a good guy, but because I could not believe that Jesus Christ or Buddha or Kali herself could turn things around from the Office of the U.S. Presidency, because it is and has been corrupted so deeply and for so very long.
Now there are some who are saying Obama really is a good guy. The most interesting and somehow startling things I have heard lately are stories of young children having strong feelings about Obama. They LOVE him. One friend told me about how her 11-year-old daughter broke down and cried the night he was elected (although her parents were not gung-ho cheerleaders for Obama). I know another woman who pulled her car over off the highway and broke down and cried when she heard he was nominated by the Democratic Party to run for President. She knows about all the corruption that is in politics and yet she still believes in him despite what has transpired in the past few years that has caused many in the community to vilify him.
How do I feel about him? I really don't know. I know I have not liked a lot of things that have been blamed on him. But I also know that he didn't do half of what he is blamed for (such as how the pharmaceutical and insurance industry lobbies made "Obamacare" what it is today -- as something not at all what Obama wanted). A lot of the "same old super-crap" from previous administrations has continued -- the constant wars, for example. And yet Iran has not been attacked. I also have not seen any huge false flags on American soil during his watch. All the machinations of what goes on in D.C. and beyond are beyond me, and that's for sure.
I like the idea that Obama could be a good guy after all -- who has had to maneuver himself (and compromise) in ways to convince the dark cabal they could trust him to do their bidding and is now going to pull a switcheroo, as Bill Brockbrader claims. I have seen the article on VeteransToday.com reporting that Obama has rejoined the U.S. to the treaty with the ICC -- the International Criminal Court. The court that Bush had pulled U.S. out of said treaty to protect guilty American war criminals guilty of torture and more -- such as Cheney, Rumsfeld, himself and others (such as the ones recently convicted of torture in Kuala Lumpur). Some say it's not true and that article on VeteransToday.com is disinformation. But that if it is not?
I did some research (which I reported on my blog at avocadess.com/door2) and found a pdf explaining that all Obama would have to do to rejoin that treaty is send a NOTE to the UN Secretary-General. Immediate ratification not even needed. If he did it, it opens up the possibility that these controller elites could be arrested and even executed.
I like that picture. You may say I'm a dreamer, but like John Lennon said, I'm not the only one.
