*****Five Star Movies On Avalon*****

A Great Thread To Post Your Favorite Movie to share with Avalon. The Subject Can Be Anything From UFO's to Alternative Medicine. I have always enjoyed watching a good movie on a Sunday afternoon when I watched TV in my early years. So I'm Starting With This Gem. The Beautiful Truth. After Losing A Sister To Cancer, A Loss of my Dad to Lung Cancer and my former wife who had succumbed to breast cancer and survived through mainstream medicine (chemo and radiation), I went on an adventure down the rabbit hole to find a Natural Cure for Cancer Through Alternative Means. I came up with this startling video and I thought i'd share this with my family on Avalon.
A troubled 15-year-old boy attempting to cope with the recent death of his mother sets out to research Dr. Max Gerson's claims of a diet that can cure cancer as his first assignment for home-schooling in this documentary from filmmaker Steve Kroschel (Avalanche, Dying to Have Known). Garrett is a boy who has always been close to nature. He lives on a reserve with a menagerie of orphaned animals, and over the years he's become especially sensitive to the nutritional needs of the diet-sensitive animals he's charged with caring for. When Garrett's mother suffers a tragic and untimely death, the boy falls into a dangerous downward spiral and nearly flunks out of school. Increasingly concerned for Garrett's well-being and determined to strengthen their bond despite the many challenges on the horizon, his father makes the decision to begin home-schooling the distressed teen. Garrett's first assignment: study a controversial book written by Dr. Max Gerson, a physician who claims to have discovered a diet that's capable of curing cancer. Is Dr. Gerson's therapy truly the legitimate, alternative cure it appears to be? In order to find out the truth behind this long-suppressed treatment, Garrett interviews not only Dr. Gerson's family members, but various doctors, skeptics, and cancer patients as well. His studies completed and his findings revelatory, Garrett now sets out to tell the entire world about The Gerson Miracle.

The film depicts a future in which human beings, known as "Oms" (a word play on the French-language word hommes, meaning men), have been brought by the giant Draags to the Draags' home planet, where they are kept as pets (with collars). The Draags are an alien race which is humanoid in shape but a hundred times larger than humans, with blue skin, fan-like earlobes and huge, protruding red eyes. The Draags also live much longer than human beings one Draag week equals a human year. Some Oms are domesticated as pets, but others run wild, and are periodically exterminated. The Draags' treatment of the Oms is ironically contrasted with their high level of technological and spiritual development.

		Great Thread Whitefeather:
Here is one of my favorite documentaries:
"Run from the Cure" by Rick Simpson
https://youtube.com/watch?v=0psJhQHk_GI
I know that it's been on Avalon in the past but I am sure not everyone has seen it so that's why I am adding it.
Enjoy

Just finished watching, "The Beautiful Truth". I pulled out my copy of "Healing the Gerson Way" (New Edition, 2010). It's got folded pages and underlined sections. I'm flipping through and see once again, it's an easy read. Over 400 pages not including great resource section. Over 100 pages of healthy recipes.
Thanks WhiteFeather, time for me to take it up another notch. Maybe a juicer for greens like kale, spinach, bok choy and chicory.
Peace,
WhiteCrowBlackDeer

I'm not sure if this is five star, but I like the old B horror movie "They Live" with the one time wrestler Roddy Piper as the main character. It was done in 1988 on a low budget but has some great elements, excellent humour, and a message that is somewhat accurate from what the average Avalonian would know -- perhaps not so much in 1988 -- thus it is almost more practical now. If you like cheesy sci-fi and conspiracies portrayed in a way to make you think a little - this classic is for you!

Brother Sun Sister Moon -c. 1971
The story of St. Francis of asissi. It's a great throwback and an absolutely gorgeous flower-power movie era film.
It's about profound spiritual awakening and rebirth. Also shows corruption in the church and society in 13th century.

One of the best movies I have ever seen that has a remarkable impact on anyone who watches it, is 'Waltz with Bashir'.
It leaves the viewer with a distinctive feeling that 'War is not worth it!' however Brainwashed the viewer was when he first started to watch. It breaks all those hidden emotions and walls that were built over the years by our governments and mainstream media.
Animated but demonstrating the truth in real accuracy!
close to be a masterpiece if you ask me
The trailer:

Waltz with Bashir - Full Movie : (The link might be deleated in a few days)

Be ready for a roller coaster experience, It will not leave you indifferent. It takes time to begin and understand the plot, But patience pays off!

Thanks for uploading this. Jung is psychology's own Ascended Master in my opinion. A little known fact about him is that he had a near-death experience that influenced his theories.
