That was fantastic! Thank you, Calamus, for sharing this video. Here are my thoughts:
- As a biologist, I will most certainly say with certainty that there is more to the connectiveness between all life forms than we have been led to believe.
- If I would have watched this only a year ago, I would have scoffed at it and called it rubbish and poppycock. I would not have hesitated to call it little more than Hocus Pocus. I was an atheist for eight years, because the dogma that religion spewed out to me poisoned the very essence of what it meant to be spiritual. I did not know that one could be spiritual without being religious. I have come a long way since then, and as a scientist I can say with confidence that animal communication is a very real thing.
- Native Americans and other spiritual groups had it right. The White Man indeed has poisoned everything. Western, modern living is so detached from nature and what the essence of life actually means.
- Jon Young was mentioned in the documentary. If anybody is interested in what he does, check out his Wilderness Awareness School.
- Jurg Olsen was also mentioned. I appreciate that as an ex-policeman who turned into a conservationist, he was able to remove his shackles of conformity, break away from society, and turn his awareness to the natural world. If more poliecemen had this mindset, the world would be a far better place. Check out information on the Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary.
- I am mad in love with this woman. :man_in_love:
For those who found this video interesting, I highly suggest checking out the two videos I have linked below:
Why Birds Sing
"Inspired by musician and eco-philosopher David Rothenberg's book of the same title, this documentary explores the intriguing, charming, complex and often conflicting theories on why birds sing like they do and why humans are so attracted to the sound."

My Life as a Turkey"After a local farmer left a bowl of eggs on Joe Hutto's front porch, his life was forever changed. Hutto, possessing a broad background in the natural sciences and an interest in imprinting young animals, incubated the eggs and waited for them to hatch. As the chicks emerged from their shells, they locked eyes with an unusual but dedicated mother."
So beautiful, Calamus. Very touching. Thank you for sharing.
OMG, a real tear jerker. Just beautiful BUMP
I cried as I watched this. This is so beautiful. This documentary touched the core of my being.
I have always been fascinated about animals since before I could even walk.
I may suffer from severe social anxiety, but I still hope and believe that if I'm able to comfortably communicate with animals, there's hope for me to comfortably communicate with humans. :)
Made me cry a river! A 1000 thanks, a fairytale come true:angel:
And the birdvideo made me laugh! Also we all know "The dancing Coockatoo"

I think this article will go well here. This is a MUST READ!
Are we all PSYCHIC? Scientists believe that animals - including humans - have a collective consciousness
- Behaviours found to spread throughout species seemingly telepathically
- These behaviours were adopted among groups that had never met
- This led scientists to believe they're spread via a collective consciousness
- Blue tits and macaques among species that share behaviours this way
- Report in 2010 claimed to have proved humans have similar psychic skills
- However, these claims have been dismissed some scientists in more recent reports
Already in the 80:ies we heared of The 100:th Monkey washing potatoes phenomenon.........
Wren song is who I am big sound small man. Amen
..........
delightful and very humbling, we have so much to learn as humans. thanks for this thread.
Of course the monkeys were mentioned in the article, should have read it first:p
also remember having read about the blue tits and the milk...
It's strange they don't mention Swiss psychotherapist Carl Jung who made extensive research on the term "collective unconscious" and Synchronicity, but he is not regarded as a scientist of course...
Yes we do .. each members biological intelligence is unique, individual expression of its species
we evolve dynamically, depending on what level and how much information is shared , acquired ,
we process some of the information we've received , from the lowest to the highest level and submit the results to the 'greater computer' of human society .
It's not always the same place where calculations are processed as where they are found .
The 'interspecies awareness' aka collective consciousness is inseparable part of our mind and genetic memory , by its own definition we are each others distant siblings .
Even in Cosmic terms , we are all related . Though, some of us evolved differently .
Ultimately, every species 'expression' , such as genome expression, can be only defined by biotope where it's been abiding for considerably long time so that it influenced, shaped and altered the way organism responds to external stimuli, including numberless biological factors , coinhabiting the same environment .
So it would say ... collective consciousness evolves in synchronicity with natural cycles and distinct memories of species who experienced them .
