Lapid says Netanyahu unfit to lead war, urges allied MKs to exit gov.
The head of the Israeli opposition Yair Lapid slammed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not being qualified to lead the occupation entity, calling on "National Unity" MKs to leave the emergency government, Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported.
During a meeting for his Yesh Atid party, Lapid called on Benny Gantz, Gadi Eisenkot, and Gideon Sa’ar to exit the government, stating that “this government is unfit to lead the war” and that “Netanyahu is unfit to lead the country.”
Meanwhile, Lapid revealed three names his party sees fit to fill the Prime Minister position, including a member of Netanyahu's Likud party, Yuli Edelstein, alongside either Gantz or Eisenkot.
He declared that he would back any party or movement to change the government, whether through elections or finding an alternative government.

Saving Netanyahu
Continuing his address, the opposition leader said that "National Unity" lawmakers joined the war cabinet following the October 7 operation since they “believed it was in the best interest of the country. It may have been true three months ago. It is certainly not true now,” Lapid said.
"This is not a unity government, this is not an emergency government. They are not saving the State of Israel, they are saving Netanyahu."
"For weeks now, the poison machine of Netanyahu and his aides has been attacking the chief of staff, the army, the commanders, and the fighters. Every meeting of the cabinet turns into a poisonous attack on the army,” and “as long as they are there, as long as they sit under Netanyahu, they give [his actions] legitimacy.”
The top opposition figure criticized the transfer of "billions of shekels" of government funds to "disgraceful coalitions" and parties in the middle of the war rather than going to the military, in reference to Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, and other "extremist cabinet members."
"It is wrong to keep Ben-Gvir, Smotrich, and [Religious Zionism Minister Orit] Sturk in power. It is not right to let them pass another criminal and corrupt budge," he said.

Earlier, the leader of the Yisrael Beytenu party, Avigdor Lieberman, criticized the conduct of the war in the northern front with Lebanon.
Talking to his party, Lieberman called for a reassessment of the pattern of activity because "we are currently operating with the same concept that led us to October 7."
He also criticized "Israel's appearance before the International Criminal Court in The Hague," considering it a "mistake because we should not recognize the court's authority... we took an unnecessary risk."
Political deadlock
A new survey released last week has painted a clear picture of Netanyahu's falling popularity among Israelis.
Polling 746 settlers between December 25 and December 28, the "Israel Democracy Institute" (IDI) found that only 15% of Israelis expressed they wanted the current premier to stay in power after the war on Gaza ends, compared to 23% voting in favor of Gantz.
Lapid has been leading a campaign against Netanyahu since the beginning of the war on Gaza, citing his bad performance handling of the war.
Last November, he stated that Netanyahu "should go home, not to elections," adding that the occupation entity needs another prime minister from the Likud party, as the Israelis do not trust the current one.
One of his most notable statements was during an interview with Israeli Channel 12 also in November, when he declared, "If we cannot tell the residents of Be'eri settlement (Gaza envelope) and the residents of Kiryat Shmona (in the north) that they can return to their homes, this is considered a collapse of Zionism."
The recent elections in the Israeli entity, which saw Netanyahu's advancement over his opponents, further complicated the political deadlock of the system after four consecutive election cycles in four years, exacerbating an existing security and existential crisis, with the Gaza Resistance operation intensifying it.

103 Israeli soldiers injured in one day, including 19 in Gaza
Israeli media reported that over the past day, 103 soldiers of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have been wounded in confrontations with the Resistance. Of the 103, it was reported that only 19 were wounded in confrontations with the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip, Haaretz reported.
According to this information, this would leave 84 occupation soldiers wounded outside of the Gaza strip, meaning either in the West Bank or at the front with the Lebanese Resistance.
Moreover, Haaretz underscored that two of those wounded were in serious condition, three of them were considered moderately wounded, while 98 were allegedly lightly wounded.
The health system, according to The Times of Israel, has so far treated 2,500 occupation soldiers out of the 13,000 allegedly wounded.
Reports further noted that the beds available for the rehabilitation system, as part of the $538 million budgeted for mental health, will be increased from 900 to 1500. In the future, "Israel" will add 2300 additional hospital beds and several so-called "resilience centers" to attend to the deteriorating mental health of Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers facing PTSD.
The Times of Israel also quoted the representative on behalf of the Israeli occupation's Security Ministry's Rehabilitation Division as saying, "If we don’t get additional resources and standards, we won’t be able to take care of everyone."
Hezbollah conducts several ops. targeting Israeli sites, gatherings
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced a number of operations targeting the Israeli occupation in occupied Palestine.
Opening up the operations for today, Monday, January 8, Hezbollah announced that its freedom fighters targeted the Israeli Hadab al-Bustan site at 11:00 am with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits.
At 11:40 am, the Roueissat al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms came under attack with appropriate weapons. Direct hits were achieved.
The same site came under attack once again at 3:35 pm with missile weapons, also achieving confirmed hits.
At 3:45, Hezbollah announced that its Resistance fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers in “Shtula” with appropriate weapons, killing and wounding its members.
At 4:00 pm, another gathering of Israeli occupation forces at Jal al-Allam site came under attack with appropriate weapons, confirming that its members were either injured or killed.
It is worth noting that all operations were conducted in "support of our resilient Palestinian people in Gaza and in solidarity with their courageous and honorable [Palestinian] Resistance,” according to the statements of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.

Israeli Soldier's Explosive Tell-All: "Palestinians are Right to Resist"
https://youtube.com/watch?v=FkxJd88xkBU
In a rare, candid conversation, Abby Martin interviews a former Israeli Army combat soldier who served as an occupier in Palestine’s Hebron City. Eran Efrati spent years as a sergeant and combat soldier in the Israeli military, but has since become an outspoken critic of the occupation of Palestine and Israeli apartheid.
Efrati gives explosive testimony on the reality of his service and explains how war crimes are institutionalized, as well as how systematic the oppression against Palestinians really is in a war of conquest.

⚡ 🇺🇸🇮🇷 Iran rejects US offer for 'Ceasefire' talks in Israel
Iran has confirmed it received a covert U.S. proposal for regional peace, delivered by Saudi Arabia, focusing on not expanding the war, as well as peace in the region.
The Iranian response was that it is not their war and that allies in the region, like Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, have the freedom to decide for themselves.
Megatron: This is part of a campaign for several days now by Western politicians demanding a 'ceasefire' for Israel, which alludes to Israel being in a very difficult situation behind the big door.

Details unveiled about 2 Israeli ships hit in Indian Ocean: Exclusive
Al Mayadeen's sources revealed on Monday that two Israeli ships loaded with a massive amount of oil were targeted in the Indian Ocean on January 4.
According to the sources, the first ship, CHEM SILICON, belonging to the ACE company and flying the flag of Liberia, was targeted northwest of the Maldives.
As for the second ship, PACIFIC GOLD, belonging to the Eastern company, it was targeted near the port of Kochi in India.
It is worth noting that the targeting of the two ships comes approximately 48 hours after the assassination of Hamas's deputy chief Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri on January 2, in an Israeli strike that targeted the Southern Suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut.
It also follows the assassination of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) military advisor, Brigadier General Seyyed Razi Mousavi, on December 25, in an Israeli attack on Syria.
The targeting of Israeli-linked ships in the Indian Ocean comes at a time when the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) continue their operations against Israeli and Israeli-bound ships in the Red and Arabian seas in response to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
In late December, the top commander of US naval forces in the Middle East, Brad Cooper, was quoted by the Associated Press as saying that the YAF show no signs of stopping their operations despite the expansion of the US-led international maritime coalition. In response to these operations, under the guise of securing international maritime trade routes, the Pentagon launched Operation Prosperity Guardian. However, it continues to be haunted by the reluctant participation of its members and uncertainty behind the operation's objectives.
Major member countries have announced stepping back or scaling down on commitment to the alliance, including France, which said it will not be operating under Washington's orders and will limit its operations to protect EU vessels, and Spain, which declared it will not participate entirely.
It is noteworthy that spokesperson Yahya Saree has reiterated more than once that the YAF will continue to carry out military operations in the Red and Arabian seas against Israeli ships or vessels bound to the Israeli occupation entity until needed food and medicine are delivered to the Gaza Strip, confirming that the army is "fully committed to ensuring the continued maritime navigation to all destinations except to the Israeli entity."

Israeli bombing of Al-Aqsa Hospital backyard prompts MSF evacuation
The head of the Doctors Without Borders mission in occupied Palestine's al-Quds, Stefan Goriely, told Al Mayadeen that the mission decided to evacuate its staff from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, due to the gravity of the situation which leaves the organization incapable of guaranteeing their security.
The Israeli occupation's bombardment has reached the backyard of Al-Aqsa Hospital, which, according to Goriely, became "the only hospital operating in the Central Governorate."
On her part, Gemma Connell, a spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), told the BBC that the withdrawal of aid groups from Al-Aqsa Hospital has spread panic while the International Rescue Committee (IRC) noted that leaflets dropped by the IOF have designated the areas surrounding the hospital as "red zone".
Connel reiterated what Goreily had formerly stressed that Al-Aqsa became "the single remaining hospital in the middle area of Gaza" where a "major offensive is underway."
Moreover, Connel highlighted that the current situation at the hospital remains dire as "just a single doctor" continues "working in the emergency room" with "only two surgeons left responding to hundreds of needs in that hospital."
Connel added, "You have so many casualties coming in every single hour who are in desperate need of life-saving support."
WHO has no data on over 600 evacuated Al-Aqsa patients, staff in Gaza
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that the World Health Organization (WHO) lacks information regarding the location of medical personnel and more than 600 evacuated patients from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
"[The WHO] has received troubling reports of increasing hostilities and ongoing evacuation orders near the vital Al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza, which according to the facility's director forced over 600 patients and most health workers to leave. Their locations are not currently known," Tedros said on X on Sunday.
The head of WHO also mentioned that the United Nations' health agency had to cancel another mission in the northern Gaza Strip due to hazardous conditions and the absence of required permissions. He added that there are no fully operational medical facilities in the northern enclave.

Israeli authorities, settlers carried out 12,000+ attacks in 2023
Israeli authorities and illegal settlers engaged in over 12,000 attacks in the last year, Anadolu Agency reported.
Head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Moayad Shaaban, told reporters in Ramallah that “the occupation authorities and their settlers carried out 12,161 attacks, including 5,308 after October 7."
The current Israeli government, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, has adopted a fierce, violent expansionist policy in the occupied West Bank. Arming settlers with assault rifles has been a trademark of the occupation's Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Additionally, the occupation has protected extremists who have desecrated religious sanctities in al-Quds. All previously mentioned violations, among others, motivated the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip to launch Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which exposed the occupation's fragility.
Shaaban detailed that Israeli settlers were responsible for 2,410 of the attacks, adding that 25 Bedouin villages were uprooted in the West Bank and the eastern part of Al-Quds this year, with 22 of them following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. The villages include 266 households and a total population of 1,517 Palestinians.
According to the official, 21,731 trees were chopped down and damaged during the last year, including 18,964 olive trees.
He further reported that Israeli officials seized about 50,000 dunams of land under different pretexts.
2023; deadliest year for Palestinian children
UNICEF deemed 2023 the deadliest year on record for youths in the occupied West Bank, attributing the surge to heightened Israeli police and military interventions, aggravated by the ongoing situation in Gaza.
In a statement released last month, UNICEF highlighted a surge in "conflict-related violence" in the occupied West Bank this year, revealing that 83 children were killed in the past 12 weeks, surpassing the total for the entire year of 2022 by more than double.
“Children living in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have been experiencing grinding violence for many years, yet the intensity of that violence has dramatically increased" since October 7, the agency added.
Israeli settler killed in shooting operation outside Ramallah
An Israeli settler was killed in a shooting operation in the Oyoun al-Haramiyah area to the north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, on Sunday.
Israeli media outlets said that the settler was shot and killed while he was driving his car on the road linking the city of Ramallah to Nablus. The road linking the two Palestinian cities cuts between multiple illegal Israeli settlements that were built on usurped properties.
The operation comes amid continued Israeli violations against Palestinians in the West Bank, paired with a brutal genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
Israeli settlers and authorities have carried on expansionist policies in the West Bank, where at least nine new colonial outposts were erected since October 7, while Israeli occupation forces carry out near-daily raids on town and refugee camps.
These raids have mainly targeted the governates of Tulkarm and Jenin, with the latest incursion into Jenin ending on a bitter note for occupation forces, who were ambushed by Resistance fighters.
In Jenin alone, 80 Palestinians have been martyred by the occupation's drone strikes or direct gunfire.
Moreover, settlers have been fencing off open areas in Area C, which falls under the direct jurisdiction of the Israeli occupation government, according to the Oslo agreement.
It is worth noting that Area C comprises the largest territory in the West Bank and contains grazing and agricultural lands, which have been the focus of settlers who seek to push Palestinians from their land, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

Hezbollah's martyred commander Wissam Tawil: A legacy of resistance
Hezbollah announced on Monday the martyrdom of one of its Resistance commanders on the path to al-Quds, in an Israeli strike targeting his car in the town of Khirbet Selem, South Lebanon.
The Resistance party mourned its senior officer Wissam Hassan Tawil, codenamed Hajj Jawad, who had contributed his life to fighting the Israeli occupation in the past decades, and more recently the terrorist Western-backed proxies in Syria and Iraq, mainly ISIS, making him a key figure in confronting US-Israeli-led plots against the region.
Al Mayadeen sheds light on his heroic legacy
In a special coverage, Al Mayadeen shed light on the life and journey of the martyr and revealed some information about his final moments before his assassination.
The Resistance's top leader had arrived at his home on the outskirts of the town of Khirbet Selem on Sunday evening, after being away for a long time.
His house is located approximately 19 to 20 kilometers away from the border with occupied Palestine.
The attack was carried out shortly after Tawil left his home around noon and headed to his car parked on the opposite side of the road. Circulating footage shows his car set ablaze.
How Tawil was assassinated remains inconclusive, especially considering Israeli reports suggesting that it could have been carried out using an IED.

Al- Aqsa Flood operation
Man of the field
The Israeli occupation had labeled Tawil as a top priority target for over two decades, due to his massive contributions to the Resistance and his vast participation in operations against the entity since the 1990s, when it was still occupying the Lebanese South.
He had been pursued by Israelis for many years and survived several assassination attempts.
Since the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023, Hajj Jawad has been on the frontlines, even approaching the nearest point from the occupied Palestinian territories on several occasions, being just a few meters away from Israeli military bases.
Among his fellow fighters in the Islamic Resistance, he is known as the "man of the field" and an expert in all its details.
Following the news of his martyrdom, Israeli media outlets started publishing reports claiming that Tawil was the commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force. However, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon categorically rejected the reports, stressing that there was no truth to it in any way.
A life dedicated to the Resistance
Hezbollah's military media published a brief biography of the martyred commander, his contributions, and his key roles.
Part of all Hezbollah's major operations
In 1985, Wisam Hassan Tawil joined Hezbollah and underwent various training stages, where his commitment to fieldwork became evident.
Between 1992-2000, the martyr became an active fighter among the Resistance ranks, participating in all combat and reconnaissance operations against the occupation, especially in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region, following the Israeli aggression on Lebanon in April 1996, after which he became deputy head of the Iqlim al-Tuffah axis.
Throughout his Resistance years, he sustained severe injuries, notably in 1999 during the Sujud operation.
Present on all fronts
He participated in many Islamic Resistance operations, before the liberation of South Lebanon and Western Bekaa in 2000. After the liberation, he took part in high-end operations against the Israeli enemy positions in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms.
He excelled in reconnaissance and information-gathering operations and was under the supervision of Hezbollah's martyred top commander Imad Moughniyeh (such as in the Aramta operation).
He also participated in developing programs related to the development of Hezbollah's field operations.
In individual photos, martyr Tawil can be seen with current Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, martyr Imad Moughniyeh, martyred leader Mostafa Badreddine, and martyred leader of the IRGC's Quds Force, martyr Qassem Soleimani, among others.

Transferring experience to the Palestinian Resistance
Tawil took part in the planning and reconnaissance stages of Resistance operations to capture Israeli soldiers in occupied Lebanese territories near the Palestinian border, most notably the Shebaa operation in 2000, al-Ghajar in 2005, and Kallet Warde (Ayta al-Shaab) in July 2006 (Operation Truthful Promise).
After the Israeli occupation launched the war on Lebanon in July 2006, the now-martyred official played a key role in resisting the aggression, leading up to the historic victory against "Israel" in August 2006.
Following the war, Hezbollah engaged in deep structural changes as part of lessons derived from the war aimed at developing and improving the Resistance and its capabilities. Tawil was one of the leading figures to materialize this plan between 2006 and 2011.
As the war on Syria broke out in 2011, he was in the vanguard of the fighters joining forces in the face of terrorist organizations.
Moreover, one of his most crucial contributions was transferring Hezbollah's experience to the Palestinian Resistance and participating in the liberation of Iraq from US-backed ISIS.
