Weather patterns and behavior continue to drift further and further from historical norms. Scientists have just disclosed that highly toxic fog is impacting the California coast, what could be the cause? How many noticed something is not right with the skies or our weather? The US military has stated its desire and intent to “own the weather”, what are their objectives and agendas? Will never-ending political theater keep populations distracted from the rapidly darkening wider horizon until total collapse?
Though the holiday season can provide a very welcomed distraction from the immense challenges we face, it is still imperative for us to continue with our ongoing efforts to sound the alarm.

Comet Death Dives Into the Sun
Published 1st December 2019
An ill-fated comet’s death-plunge into the fiery surface of the Sun has been captured on video by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) space telescope.
In the interesting footage, the ‘Kreutz sungrazer’ comet can be seen diving directly into the Sun as it goes out in a blaze of glory on Thursday, Non. 29, 2019.
Antares and Messier 4 Transit on SOHO/LASCO C3 solar satellite.
For two to three weeks on either side of November 30 Antares is not visible in the night sky, because it is near conjunction with the Sun. The bright star can be seen from NASA's SOHO/LASCO C3 solar satellite at this time of the year.
Antares is on average the fifteenth-brightest star in the night sky, and the brightest object in the constellation of Scorpius. Distinctly reddish when viewed with the naked eye, Antares is a slow irregular variable star. Classified as a red supergiant of spectral type M1.5Iab-Ib, Antares is a red supergiant, a large evolved massive star. Located 550 light-years away from our solar system.
If Antares replaced the Sun in our solar system, its surface would extend beyond the orbit of Mars. Antares, like the similarly-sized red supergiant Betelgeuse in the constellation Orion, will almost certainly explode as a supernova, possibly in the next ten thousand years. For a few months, the Antares supernova could be as bright as the full moon and be visible in daytime.
Messier 4
Messier 4 or M4, also designated NGC 6121 is a globular cluster in the constellation of Scorpius. M4 is conspicuous in even the smallest of telescopes as a fuzzy ball of light. It appears about the same size as the Moon in the sky. It is one of the easiest globular clusters to find, being located only 1.3 degrees west of the bright star Antares, with both objects being visible in a wide-field telescope.
Modestly sized telescopes will begin to resolve individual stars, of which the brightest in M4 are of apparent magnitude 10.8. M4 is approximately 7,200 light years away, and one of the closest globular clusters to the Solar System.

First Interstellar Comet May Soon Break Apart As It Nears The Sun
Published 2nd December 2019
http://www.astronomy.com/-/media/Ima...ust.jpg?mw=600
The interstellar space rock was first discovered at a distance of 3 astronomical units, or AUs — with 1 AU being the average distance between the Sun and Earth. Despite being relatively bright, Borisov wasn’t spotted earlier because of its proximity to the Sun in our line of sight.
But recently, a group of astronomers took a look back through older data and found the alien comet in images from last December, where it had been overlooked. Back then, it was nearly three times as far away as it is now.
“By chasing this comet back as far as possible, we can have a better understanding of its inbound trajectory,” said Quanzhi Ye, astronomer at the University of Maryland who led the new study, currently available as a preprint on arXiv. “That will help us to identify its source system.”

Europe's Space Agency Approves The Hera Anti-Asteroid Mission
Published 2nd December 2019
https://cdnews.ru/wp-content/uploads...-2500x1406.jpg
European ministers in charge of the ESA space agency have approved Hera, a mission that will test whether deflection could save humanity from a rogue asteroid. During the $320 million mission, ESA and partner NASA will send a pair of spacecraft to a double-asteroid system called Didymos. NASA will first crash its DART probe into the smaller asteroid (Didymoon) at a speed of around 13,320 MPH, with the event recorded by an Italian cubesat called LICIACube. Hera will arrive later to map the impact crater and measure the asteroid's mass.

Vikram Lander Found
Published 2nd December 2019

The Chandrayaan 2 Vikram lander was targeted for a highland smooth plain about 600 kilometers from the south pole; unfortunately the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) lost contact with their lander shortly before the scheduled touchdown (7 September in India, 6th September in the United States). Despite the loss, getting that close to the surface was an amazing achievement. The LROC team released the first mosaic (acquired 17 September) of the site on 26 September and many people have downloaded the mosaic to search for signs of Vikram.

Is The Universe Finite?
Published 2nd December 2019
The universe is big, really, really big. Although according to a new paper, it may literally be infinitely smaller than we previously thought.
Every time you walk out the door, light from the Big Bang strikes your face, enters your eyes. This is the cosmic microwave background radiation - the left-over heat-glow from the very early universe. We can’t see this microwave light with our eyes, but we can catch it with even a simple radio antenna. As soon as we became aware of its existence we’ve been feverishly building better and better devices to collect it. Why? Because it encodes so many secrets. And within this light, a group of scientists have just found evidence of the limits of space. A clue that our universe may be actually be finite in size. Today on Space Time Journal Club we’ll delve into the Nature Astronomy paper that just reported this: Planck evidence for a closed Universe and a possible crisis for cosmology by Eleonora Di Valentino, Alessandro Melchiorri, and Joe Silk.

Technosignatures vs Biosignatures: Which Will Succeed First?
Published 2nd December 2019
Thirty-five years ago, a group of entrepreneurs and scientists founded the SETI Institute – the first scientific institute dedicated to the search for extraterrestrial life in the universe. We’re excited to commemorate this anniversary. We invited SETI Institute co-founder Jill Tarter and 2018 Drake Award Recipient Vikki Meadows to discuss the challenges and possible future strategies for the detection of life.
Initiated by Jill Tarter in 1990s, Project Phoenix marked the first systematic search for technosignatures. Today, the Allen Telescope Array and Laser SETI are driving our technosignature search.
The discovery that exoplanets are common has radically changed our view of the universe. The likelihood that there are habitable worlds elsewhere in the universe seems more plausible than ever before. Astronomers, including Vikki Meadows, are developing new instruments to help search for life on other planets. By analyzing data from exoplanets and identifying biosignatures, we will be able to search for habitable planets and the presence of life.
Which approach will discover the first evidence of extraterrestrial life? Will technosignatures or biosignatures confirm our hypothesis that life exists outside our watery, shimmering planet and that, indeed, we are not alone?

Published 4th November 2019
We reveal perhaps the greatest scientific discovery in human history which, up until now, has been kept secret. Former US Air Force Intelligence Specialist Mike Turber discloses that the “Tic Tac” shaped UFO’s recently shown in videos released by the US Navy are in fact US Aircraft able to fly at speeds at least 10 times faster than anything achieved before because they have learned how to defeat gravity. Turber hints he has actually flown in one, and states Trump flew one to North Korea to impress Kim Jong-un!

Christmas Annular Solar Eclipse
Published 3rd December 2019
A “ring of fire” will appear over parts of the Middle East and Asia this December. The spectacle will be visible from a 100-mile-wide path of annularity that stretches from Saudi Arabia to the South Pacific islands of Guam.
The event is largely a partial solar eclipse, with the “ring” event lasting just a few minutes. It will be visible at sunrise on the Arabian Peninsula (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE and Oman), and later in the day in southern India, northern Sri Lanka, the Indian Ocean and Indonesia. Skywatchers in those areas will have to be quick if they want to see it, with the eclipse only lasting for a maximum of three minutes and 40 seconds.
After an eclipsed sunrise in Saudi Arabia, the path crosses Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam before sunset. According to TimeandDate.com, the first part of the partial eclipse will begin at 02.29 UTC on Boxing Day, with the last part occurring at 08.05 UTC. At the peak of this eclipse, the middle of the Sun will appear to be missing and the dark Moon will appear to be surrounded by the bright Sun.
Remember to never look directly at the Sun. All observers will need to wear solar eclipse glasses at all times and attempts to photograph it will require special solar filters. An annular solar eclipse happens because the moon is farther away than usual in its orbit around Earth, and it doesn’t fully cover the disk of the Sun. It’s the most beautiful type of solar eclipse, but it’s also the most dangerous, according to experts.
Clear skies!

Winter Solstice 2019
Published 3rd December 2019
The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year. It is the day that the earth is tilted away from the sun, and receives the least amount of sunlight, on that day, and in this year. The term “solstice” derives from the Latin word “solstitium,” meaning “ Sun standing still.” On this day, the Sun seems to stand still at the Tropic of Capricorn and then reverses its direction as it reaches its southernmost position as seen from the Earth. The winter solstice occurs ususally on December 21st or 22nd.
