Re: Israel vs Palestine/Lebanon/Iran/Yemen/Syria: a New Middle East War
We have already seen that Hezbollah can hit a radar dome no more than about 5m across. Today, I am not terribly sure what it means they just shoot the Iron Dome itself:
Quote:
The first statement mentioned that the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. the “Ramim” Hunin Barracks with artillery shells.
The second statement emphasized that the Islamic Resistance attacked on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 12:20 p.m. Iron Dome platforms at the air defense site in Kfar Blum settlement with two combat drones, adding that the targets were accurately hit.
According to the third statement, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted at 13:10 on on Saturday, March 23, 2024, the spy devices at Al-Radar site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms with appropriate weapons, hitting it directly.
The fourth statement maintained that the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted at 13:15 on Saturday, March 23, 2024, Bayyad Blida site with appropriate weapons, hitting it directly.
The fifth statement mentioned that the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted at 16:50 on Saturday, March 23, 2024, Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Kfarshouba Hills with artillery shells, hitting it directly.
The sixth statement stressed that the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted at 17:56 on Saturday, March 23, 2024, Al-Malkiyah occupation site with artillery shells, hitting it directly: statement
We believe they know the hits as determined by on-board cameras. Obviously that cannot tell us the results. I would imagine that any electronic piece of equipment hit by nearly anything that would be used, would ruin it.
They have this capability, none of those skirmishes are as big as in Ukraine, but it is daily attrition of some number killed/wounded and things destroyed. I am not sure that a Gaza ceasefire would make Hezbollah stop its actions. Once you have a motto about Jerusalem, it won't fade away overnight. Who in their right minds is ever going to take an Israeli peace agreement seriously?
Again we may notice these are not indiscriminate strikes, the attacks on civilian infrastructure are almost always direct reprisals against attacks on Lebanese civilians. Galilee at least is eating 5-6 military scrapes every day.

They are the BIGGEST parasitical welfare state in the Universe, it seems ... How much money do they receive "per person" if you compare/calculate the population vs received "donations/gifts/aid" paid by TAX payers of US & EU? ... That's very very interesting. It has to be possible that he's been greenlighted (or flat-out ordered) to change his public stance, in line with Chuck Schumer's recent [apparently] strong anti-Zionist statement, which many have suggested signals a sea-change in White House policy, very probably all about the coming election.

War on Gaza: Unrwa says Israel to block its food convoys from reaching northern Gaza
Israel will no longer approve food convoys to northern Gaza carried by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, Unrwa, the organisation's chief said on Sunday.
Philippe Lazzarini said the decision, communicated by Israeli authorities to the UN, was "outrageous".
"Despite the tragedy unfolding under our watch, the Israeli authorities informed the UN that they will no longer approve any Unrwa food convoys to the north," Lazzarini said on social media platform X.
"This is outrageous and makes it intentional to obstruct lifesaving assistance during a man made famine," he added.
The decision comes days after a UN-backed report warned that famine was imminent in northern Gaza, a crisis many have accused Israel of causing by using starvation as a weapon of war.
Israeli authorities have severely restricted the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip for over five months, especially in the north.
A UN-backed initiative found last week that the entire population of Gaza, estimated to be around 2.3 million, is enduring "acute" food insecurity, while half the population suffers from a greater level of food insecurity classified as "catastrophic".
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), a multi-partner initiative, concluded that the hunger level in Gaza is the "highest share of people facing high levels of acute food insecurity that the IPC initiative has ever classified for any given area or country".
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this was the first time an entire population has been classified at severe levels of acute food insecurity.
According to the Palestinian health ministry, at least 27 children have died from malnutrition so far.
Blocking aid by Unrwa, the largest humanitarian organisation in Gaza, would make "the clock tick faster towards famine", Lazzarini said, warning many more will die of hunger and dehydration.
"This cannot happen, it would only stain our collective humanity," he said.
The Sunday decision comes two months after Israel alleged that 12 of Unrwa's 30,000 employees were involved in Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel on 7 October.
A string of western countries, including the US, UK, Canada and Germany, suspended funding to the agency following the allegations. Some of them did so without having seen any evidence of the claims, MEE reported last month.
Upon learning of the allegations, Unrwa dismissed 10 of the employees - two others were dead - in a process that the head of the agency admitted amounted to "reverse due process".
The agency has said that the funding suspensions, as well as Israeli calls for Unrwa's abolition, have left it at "breaking point".
A number of EU countries, Canada and Australia have since announced that they were resuming funding for the agency.
Unrwa was established in 1949 - a year after the Nakba (or catastrophe), during which 750,000 Palestinians were forced from their homes during the creation of Israel - to provide healthcare, education and humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.[COLOR="red"]

Until USA recognizes... and puts into policy that Palestinian lives are equal value to Israeli lives... in my opinion... there can be no honest broker and no decent end of this genocide!!!!!
All of Israel’s modern wars have ended with US intervention, but the current war in Gaza has gone on for half a year because “Biden is a slow learner”, argues University of Pennsylvania political scientist Ian Lustick.
Israel needs an outside power to blame when it cannot achieve its aims. “That's because the war aims are fundamentally political, and the military cannot achieve them,” says Lustick.
Lustick and Palestinian politician Mustafa Barghouti talk to host Steve Clemons about the current situation on the ground and the debate within the Democratic Party in the United States.

Look who is front and center of that row of Patricians.
The inherent contradictions in the sentences I see would be:
Money guarantees results.
Israel has an "ally", which is negated by "defend itself by itself". It has to do that specifically because it hasn't got any allies and we are not one of them. We are allied to Turkey. The Turks can't stand the Americans, but that changes nothing.
They haven't formed any words that are connected to reality. It's pictures of people giving money away freely.
That means I have thieves in my house.
I can't afford to move thanks to that.
I take it they didn't stop again today, this may be the largest unchecked open season on humanity that has happened. Wars usually would erupt over such things fairly easily. I can't think of another six months of multiple daily massacres and no one would do anything. Donbass was obviously slower. We expected the world's sympathy one time when 3,000ish Americans were dustified. I thought it was a small number. But we will actually pay someone to give Gaza six or seven mini-9/11s every day.
Oh, wait, the same strategical clique is behind both things. Oh, and that Donbass as well.
Ew.

It appears (as best I know) that breaking news is that the UN Security Council has unanimously approved a resolution for a mandated ceasefire during Ramadan (March 10 — April 9, 2024).
The US abstained, but the resolution still carried. How Israel may respond is anyone's guess. Expect much more commentary on this later today.

🇺🇳🇵🇸🇺🇸🇮🇱 The United Nations Security Council has just passed a resolution calling for a temporary ceasefire until the end of Ramadan, presented by non-permanent member states, with only the United States abstaining (without a veto).
The vote came after an amendment presented by Russia to include the words "permanent ceasefire" failed.
The resolution that passed called for the unconditional release of zionist prisoners held in Gaza.
Netanyahu announced his anger at the US' abstention from the UN Security Council vote calling for a two-week ceasefire, stating that their decision not to veto "harms the war effort," despite it calling for an unconditional release of zionist prisoners.
As punishment, Netanyahu has withdrawn the "israeli" delegation that was set to head to the Washington DC to discuss the planned invasion of Rafah.
US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby: Our abstention from voting on the Security Council resolution does not represent a shift in our policy. We focus on moving things forward and doing what we can to support “Israel”. We did not vote in favor of the resolution and merely abstained from voting because the final version does not include condemning Hamas.
Palestinian journalist Sam Husseini: Interesting that the US set up this phony pier before the phony "ceasefire" -- so it will dictate the parameters going forward.

Hamas welcomes UNSC resolution, expresses readiness for exchange deal
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas welcomed the United Nations Security Council’s call today for an immediate ceasefire, in a statement released on Monday.
"We stress the necessity of reaching a permanent ceasefire that leads to the withdrawal of all Zionist (Israeli occupation) forces from the Gaza Strip and the return of the displaced [Palestinians] to the homes they were forced out of," the movement emphasized.
"We also affirm our readiness to engage in an immediate prisoner exchange process that leads to the release of both sides’ detainees and captives," Hamas said.
"We call on the Security Council to pressure the occupation to adhere to the ceasefire and stop the war of genocide and ethnic cleansing against our people," the Resistance movement affirmed.
Hamas reiterated the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital. It also underlined the Palestinian people's right to return to their homeland and their right to self-determination, as stipulated in international decisions and international law.
The Islamic Resistance Movement underlined the need to protect the freedom of movement for all Palestinian citizens, as well as the movement of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, including heavy equipment to be used for rescue and recovery missions for thousands who remain under the rubble created by Israeli bombs.
Hamas also expressed its gratitude for the efforts of Algeria and all other members of the UNSC who stood by the Palestinian people and worked on stopping the aggression on Gaza.

UNSC adopts ceasefire resolution
Following the United States' abstention from the vote, the UNSC requested an immediate ceasefire between the Israeli occupation forces and the Palestinian Resistance, as well as the immediate and unconditional release of all captives.
The resolution was sponsored by the body's ten elected members, and the remaining 14 council members voted for it.
Algeria's UN Ambassador Amar Bendjama expressed after the vote that the Palestinians have "suffered greatly", citing that the "bloodbath has continued for far too long."
Washington has repeatedly opposed the term "ceasefire", and it used its veto authority to defend its ally for its war on Gaza, which has killed over 32,000 Palestinians and injured over 74,694.

Irish MEP Mick Wallace: Ursula von der Leyen has stated that she plans to create a Commissioner for Defense if she remains in power for the next term. A Commissioner for Defense means a Commissioner for War. Why not create a Commissioner for Peace instead? What started as an economic union is quickly turning into a military union. Great news for the elite who profit from war, but not so great for the citizens of Europe who see more and more of their money going through the military-industrial complex.
Why have we not been able to achieve peace in Ukraine in two years? Why did von der Leyen go to Tel Aviv to support the Israeli genocide? Now the EU is supporting this genocide. We still support the Zionist settler colonial project. The EU's response to the Israeli act of genocide in Gaza exposes all talk of human rights, international law, and how it's all meaningless. Every day - new atrocities, bombings and ethnic cleansing continue, aid is blocked, and now hunger is being used as a weapon of war. The EU is now exposed.

🇺🇸⚔️🇹🇷🇴🇲🇩🇪Aydınlık: USA imposes sanctions on Turkey, Germany, and Oman for supporting Iran
The USA did not stop at Russia. They imposed sanctions on companies from Germany, Turkey, Oman, and Iran, reports Aydınlık. The reason was the supply of products from these firms to Tehran, which it used in the defense industry.
The USA once again played the "sanctions" card to put pressure on Russia and Iran. This time, the target was the development of Tehran's defense industry. Restrictions have been imposed on five companies and two individuals from Turkey for supplying goods to Iran.
After the sanctions imposed on some Turkish companies for cooperating with Russia, the USA imposed restrictions on firms dealing with Iran. While American embassy staff threatened Turkish companies to "Stop trading with Russia," the US Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions on five companies and two individuals from Turkey due to their ties with Iran. On Wednesday, March 20, the American financial authority imposed sanctions on three procurement networks based in Iran, Turkey, Oman, and Germany, supporting the Iranian nuclear programme.
Five companies from Turkey and two Turkish citizens were blacklisted. The ministry's statement said that the sanctioned trading networks support Iran's missile, nuclear, and defense programmes.
