NASA has recently stated that much more "data" is needed in the study of UAP. Everyone wants data, but do we really lack good data when it comes to this phenomenon? For 80 years, the United States military has encountered UAP, once known as UFOs. There is a long history of encounters, as well as the deliberate suppression of evidence. Richard Dolan has uncovered a case that had been buried in the database of the National UFO Reporting Center concerning the U.S. Coast Guard in the year 1973. It involved an incredible encounter in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and the confiscation of photographs by "Men in Black," and the intimidation of the witnesses. We have the data -- it is simply being concealed from us.
Richard's thorough reporting is always welcome, but I'd prefer information on more recent cases rather than historical.

This historical case, though interesting to me because new to me, was chosen by RD to shed light on the longtime coverup of the subject. He says as much.
The coverup is as key to the issue as the unidentified “phenomena”. It is a high bar that the holders of the info have set for themselves. The credibility of the current so-called disclosure depends heavily on clearing up stories/history like this.

Also, given the recent furore over Disclosure and the secret UAP/UFO technnology supposedly coming out of the USA, one has to wonder why the Biden administration aren't using it either in Ukraine or Israel as you'd think it would be pretty decisive and wipe the floor with any opposition if only half our expectations are realised.

To be honest I found it quite hard going, although I watched to the end. I gather Jon Stewart is fairly new to the presentation circuit and his delivery needs polishing. Nevertheless, Richard's support lent a lot to his authenticity I thought, but I felt stricken, all over again, at the obvious discomfort of the alien.

Many thanks as always, and I listened carefully to this — as I do to everything Richard publishes publicly. But it was frustrating to listen to in parts (like the curate's egg!).
He goes into commendable detail regarding his thoughts on 'aliens among us' and abductions, but steers very clear of the SSP topic (the title of the video!), not even mentioning the testimony of Brad Sorensen and the ARVs which were stated to have traveled throughout the solar system as far back as the 1980s. And nor does he mention any of the enigmatic but highly significant statements by Ben Rich just before he died in early 1995 ("We now have the technology to take ET home", and much more). I do wish Mishlove had pressed him more on this.
Richard often talks like a careful lawyer, worried about what he may let slip on record, and one loses count of the number of times he dilutes what he says with caveats (maybe, possibly, potentially, plausibly, conceivably, etc etc etc etc :)).
The reason for this is likely that he seeks — understandably — to maintain good relations with everyone he comes into contact with, whatever their own strong views. But OMG, sometimes I do wish he would state some things far more clearly and definitively.

Although Richard didn't give details of the secret space program/s, he nevertheless acknowledged that there’s something real going on and that they’re lying to us (the ptb). He said there was strong but unsupported testimony and that anything he said would be purely speculative. He also said that there were elements that would always be classified – even though a downside was the value of shared information – and therefore a great need for secrecy, that a number of scientists had been killed when they became a security risk. Do you think Richard's been warned off, or perhaps he just doesn’t know . . .
I found some of his other comments really interesting, however; that he believed Bob Lazar’s story, which I’ve always done. (Garry Nolan, the neuroscientist, who’s taken an interest in the UAP phenomenon doesn’t, and that he’s rumoured to be best buddies with Fauci is enough to make anyone suspicious imo)
Jeffrey Mishlove commented that some of the witnesses have said that the truth of these matters is so horrendous its questionable whether we could handle it. In response Richard recalled the story about President Carter, who was primed on the current UFO position and then found with his head in his hands (or crying), which gives weight (once again) to the recent “dark secret” statement by Tucker Carlson.
On the matter of them living among us, that they can breathe our air means they're either here already (endemic), in which case if they look like us and sound like us and have been here for thousands of years, then they’re not aliens, they’re human beings. If dimensional, we know nothing about other dimensions and air quality. Also, that there might be several different ET’s here – I read somewhere there were around 70; whatever, they must be aware of each other and if they don’t get on there’s no any evidence of ET’s fighting each other, especially as they must all be soldiers/military scientists. Earth is hardly a holiday destination for them.
As an aside, you have to wonder what Elon Musk is doing if there’s already a base on Mars, and what his role is, as he’s always said “Where’s ET - If he was out there I’d know”. Even if he’s not in on the secret you’d think his technology would interfere with theirs?
As you can see, discussions and videos of this nature certainly give the imagination a good workout, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
I loved Richard's great quote: “In science, conclusions are provisional”.

Well, not really 'speculative'! In my post above I referenced Brad Sorensen and the ARVs' trips throughout the solar system, and the several clear statements that Ben Rich made shortly before his death. Those were fully credible and significant, and Richard's mentioned them many times before — but not in this conversation.

I think he's just very cautious – maybe a little like a lawyer, as I said above (or at least, like a careful academic historian, which is his background). There are very few things which he states he's certain about... maybe just 5% of his field of study, or perhaps even less.
In some ways that's commendable and understandable, but I feel I know maybe almost as much about the subject as Richard (though not in such granular documentary detail) and I'm certain about much more than he publicly says that he is.
One of the issues is the concept of 'proof'. Any experienced real-life lawyer (@Satori? :)) would confirm that circumstantial evidence can be overwhelmingly and rightly persuasive, and it's a lay misconception that 'circumstantial' evidence is just flimsy and of little real consequence, to be disregarded as a matter of intellectual safety. The UFO/ET field is full of circumstantial evidence that all adds up to 99.99% certainty in a whole range of different aspects.

Yes, Bob Lazar's story is self-evidently true, as I felt (as well) ever since the early 90s. Richard also fully believes it, but it took him many years to get to the point when he felt able to state that publicly. He's just VERY VERY cautious, almost all the time, about almost everything he discusses.

It was interesting that in two presentations now that I've heard Richard has stressed the possibility (which he seems to favor!) that the ETs are 'descended' from humans rather than vice versa. I don't credit that one bit, and I have to say that it's hard for me to understand why Richard seems to be pointing to that.
The discrepancy seems to me that there are some things which Richard is happy to speculate about, but those are the topics that aren't emotionally controversial in the field. Where there's the possibility of disagreement or pushback, he usually steers way clear and deploys all the 'maybe' caveats.
