Crypto Entrepreneur Who Bought Banana Art For $6.2 Million Eats It

Duct-taped banana sells for $6.2 million at art auction
https://projectavalon.net/forum4/sho...=1#post1643168
HONG KONG (AP) — A cryptocurrency entrepreneur who bought a piece of conceptual art consisting of a simple banana, duct-taped to a wall, for $6.2 million ate the fruit in Hong Kong on Friday.
Chinese-born Justin Sun peeled off the duct tape and enjoyed the banana in a press conference held in The Peninsula Hong Kong, one of the city’s priciest hotels, in the popular shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui.
“It tastes much better than other bananas. Indeed, quite good,” he said.
“Comedian,” by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, was a phenomenon when it debuted in 2019 at Art Basel Miami Beach, as festivalgoers tried to make out whether the single yellow piece of fruit affixed to a white wall with silver duct tape was a joke or a cheeky commentary on questionable standards among art collectors. At one point, another artist took the banana off the wall and ate it.
The piece attracted so much attention that it had to be withdrawn from view. But three editions sold for between $120,000 and $150,000, according to the gallery handling sales at the time.
Last week, Sun, founder of cryptocurrency platform TRON, made the winning bid at the Sotheby’s auction in New York. Or, more accurately, Sun purchased a certificate of authenticity that gives him the authority to duct-tape a banana to a wall and call it “Comedian.”

Blank ‘Pure White’ Art Canvas Expected to Sell For $1.5 Million +
http://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads...y=75&strip=all
This brings a whole new meaning to “drawing a blank.”
A barren white canvas, valued at more than $1.5 million, is up for auction in Germany.
The 1970 piece by minimalist American painter Robert Ryman — titled “General 52″ x 52″,” a nod to its dimensions — will be up for grabs by art enthusiasts at the Ketterer Kunst auction house in Berlin on Dec. 6 and 7.
The artwork appears to be blank but the all-white canvas with a slightly darker white frame actually was painted using white enamel and enamelac paints, typically used to paint metal.
The use of these paint types atop a cotton canvas resulted in a piece so delicate that it could not travel to be on view ahead of the sale.
“The material is very sensitive and the smallest traces in the flawless surface would immediately reduce the value of the work significantly,” Ketterer Kunst said in a statement, describing the painting as “in very good condition. That’s why we are not sending it on a journey.”
Ryman, who died in 2019 at 88, was known for his experimental work. He had no formal art training, but rather, was a jazz pianist who took up painting as a hobby after becoming a security guard at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Jupiter Abyss by Gerald Eichstädt & Sean Doran
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/image/2411...stadt_1080.jpg
What's that black spot on Jupiter? No one is sure. During one pass of NASA's Juno over Jupiter, the robotic spacecraft imaged an usually dark cloud feature informally dubbed the Abyss.
Surrounding cloud patterns show the Abyss to be at the center of a vortex. Since dark features on Jupiter's atmosphere tend to run deeper than light features, the Abyss may really be the deep hole that it appears -- but without more evidence that remains conjecture. The Abyss is surrounded by a complex of meandering clouds and other swirling storm systems, some of which are topped by light colored, high-altitude clouds.
This Week
JUPITER OUTSHINES THE STARS
See that very bright star at midnight? It's no star. This week, Jupiter outshines every star in the sky as it makes its annual closest approach to Earth. Look for it between the horns of Taurus the Bull.
http://www.spaceweather.com/images20..._midnight2.png
Shining at magnitude -2.8, Jupiter is almost 4 times brighter than Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. Only the Sun, Moon and Venus are brighter than the giant planet this week.
https://www.spaceweather.com/repeat_...sition_gif.gif
Astronomers call this event "opposition," because Jupiter and the sun are on opposite sides of Earth. The precise moment of closest approach occurs on Dec. 6th, but Jupiter will be extra big and bright all week long. If you're awake at midnight, take a look!

Interesting talk, between a YouTuber and a scientist. Latter checks the tuber several times, good to see, but host Chris held up well through the first 2:00: talk about cosmology. Vid is 2:38:12.
The first talk is about postulated mechanisms behind space and time and spacetime, and might appeal to
cosmology nerds, then there’s sections on
weird stuff,
UFO’s, and a discussion about
AI going from 2:12:33 until near the end when it goes off the rails once again.

“ In this engaging interview, Dr. Alexander Unzicker, a physicist and author known for his critical perspectives on contemporary physics, delves into the historical and modern interpretations of ether theory, offering a fresh examination of this foundational concept. He critiques mainstream physics, questioning the reliance on complex mathematical models that may lack empirical grounding. The conversation also touches on the intriguing topic of scalar waves, exploring their theoretical implications and potential applications. This discussion provides valuable insights into the evolution of scientific thought and encourages a re-evaluation of established paradigms.”

These twelve blue objects are possibly drones or UAP's and entered the ocean off the west coast. They formed into triangles as they descended. Unfortunately, the actual location wasn't mentioned, and I wanted to know if there was a correlation to the earthquake off the California coast yesterday.
There are two additional X videos in this link.

Meet 'Blackbird': A Flying Taxi That Spins And Moves In Any Direction
CycloTech's all-electric flying vehicle 'Blackbird' is an air taxi that uses motors similar to tug boats
http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/v2/...yy9PjiGbtR.jpg
CycloTech, an Austrian company that builds flying car components, has unveiled blueprints for its new "BlackBird" demonstrator aircraft — a flying car that uses a custom-made alternative to propellers.
Dubbed the "CycloRotor," this all-electric propulsion system is based on the principle of the Voith Schneider propeller (VSP) — which is frequently used on tug boats and ferries. It's a circular rotor with small propeller blades inside, which spin around and can be used for both propulsion and steering.
By moving the center around which the propeller blades spin, the aircraft can change its airspeed and direction. Each propeller blade can also be angled to produce directional thrust, like the wing of an aircraft, and can be precisely aligned to send the aircraft in specific directions or rotate mid-air.
At present, the model can support a maximum of 750 pounds (340 kilograms) and can fly at around 73 mph (118 km/h).

		Aurora Around Saturn's North Pole
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/image/2412...Hubble_960.jpg
http://static.vecteezy.com/system/re...ree-vector.jpg
"Are Saturn's auroras like Earth's? To help answer this question, the Hubble Space Telescope and the Cassini spacecraft monitored Saturn's North Pole simultaneously during Cassini's final orbits around the gas giant in September 2017! During this time, Saturn's tilt caused its North Pole to be easily visible from Earth! The featured image is a composite of ultraviolet images of auroras and optical images of Saturn's clouds and rings, all taken by Hubble!
Like on Earth, Saturn's northern auroras can make total or partial rings around the pole! Unlike on Earth, however, Saturn's auroras are frequently spirals -- and more likely to peak in brightness just before midnight and dawn! In contrast to Jupiter's auroras, Saturn's auroras appear better related to connecting Saturn's internal magnetic field to the nearby, variable, solar wind! Saturn's southern auroras were similarly imaged back in 2004 when the planet's South Pole was clearly visible to Earth! Have a great day everyone, and I'll see you in class!"
