LEDA 1313424: The Bullseye Galaxy
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/image/2502...cI-01_1024.jpg
The giant galaxy cataloged as LEDA 1313424 is about two and a half times the size of our own Milky Way. Its remarkable appearance in this recently released Hubble Space Telescope image strongly suggests its nickname "The Bullseye Galaxy". Known as a collisional ring galaxy it has nine rings confirmed by telescopic observations, rippling from its center like waves from a pebble dropped into a pond. Of course, the pebble dropped into the Bullseye galaxy was a galaxy itself. Telescopic observations identify the blue dwarf galaxy at center-left as the likely collider, passing through the giant galaxy's center and forming concentric rings in the wake of their gravitational interaction. The Bullseye Galaxy lies some 567 million light-years away toward the constellation Pisces. At that distance, this stunning Hubble image would span about 530,000 light-years.

Weekend Update
Saturday, March 8 - Moon joins Mars in Gemini (all night)
http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/qkg...Q4R-970-80.jpg
Once the sky darkens on Saturday evening, March 8, bright reddish Mars and Gemini's two brightest stars, Castor and Pollux, will appear around the bright gibbous moon. Mars and the moon will be close enough together to share the view in a backyard telescope or binoculars (orange circle). The "twin" stars will shine off to their left (or celestial northeast).
Sunday, March 9 - Daylight Saving Time Begins
http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/2gC...x5R-970-80.jpg
For jurisdictions that adopt Daylight Saving Time (DST), clocks should be set forward by one hour at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 9. For stargazers, the time change and the fact that sunsets occur 1 minute later each day near the March equinox will mean that dark-sky observing cannot commence until much later in the evening — possibly after the bedtime of junior astronomers.

Huge 'Reflective Disk' Discovered on Mars

Reflective Martian disk appears embedded in the Martian surface, top edge reflecting light, bottom edge mirroring the surrounding terrain
**
A recent analysis of a photograph captured by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) has revealed two intriguing anomalies on the Martian surface.
The first image, labeled F02_036488_2211_XI_41N335W, was taken on May 9, 2014, and depicts a monitoring site in North Arabia Terra, a region east of Deuteronilus Colles. The anomaly was discovered by imaging specialist Jean Ward.
The object, described as a massive reflective disc, measures approximately 240 meters (787 feet) in diameter — comparable to two or three football fields.
The second anomaly, located nearby, resembles a large ring measuring roughly 120 meters in diameter.
While the nature of these objects remains unknown, theories range from natural formations, such as pools of frozen water ice, to more speculative possibilities like artificial structures or spacecraft.

Here are featured two anomalies I discovered in this photograph located at a site East of Deuteronilus Colles in a region of Mars called Arabia Terra. The first anomaly looks like a reflective disc that is embedded in the Martian surface, it measure approximately 240 metres in diameter (could it be a pool of frozen water ice, hatch or craft?). The second anomaly resembles a large ring measuring approximately 120 metres in diameter. As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

Columbus the Deceiver: Total Lunar Eclipse
http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Kyb...kcj-970-80.jpg
On his fourth and final voyage to the New World, Christopher Columbus and his men were, for a time, marooned and hungry on the north coast of Jamaica. The Indigenous Arawak people were becoming tired of their demands.
But The Almanach Perpetuum, written by Abraham Ben Samuel Zacuto, came to Columbus' aid, predicting a lunar eclipse for Thursday, Feb. 29, 1504. Knowing this, three days earlier, Columbus warned the Indigenous people that he would take the moon away if they did not cooperate with his expedition.
He wrote:
“It began before sunset, so I could observe only the end of it, when the moon had just begun to return, and it must have been two and a half hours after sunset.”
When the Indigenous people implored him to bring back the moon, Columbus drew aside and pretended to pray. As the moon began to emerge from the Earth's shadow, they cheered and hurried away to bring food for the ill and starved men, thus saving admiral, crew, and expedition.

What to do during a Blood Moon?
Some consider a lunar eclipse to be the time when the doorway between worlds becomes momentarily opened, which is great for divinations and spiritual communications.
This lunar event is an opportunity to experiment with intuitive magic and enhance our psychic abilities.
http://spells8.com/wp-content/upload...d-Moon-PDF.jpg
Ancestor incense blends: Incense carries our wishes to the deities and spirits through the sweet, airborne smoke. Some of the best herbs to burn for communication with ancestors and other spirits are: Dragon’s blood, Rosemary, Valerian, and Mugwort.
Shadow work: Engage in meditations, and rituals that force you to confront the darker, hidden parts of yourself. Journaling, Tarot exercises and self-reflection are encouraged.
Charge your crystals: Leave your crystals under the moonlight.
Clean your spaces: Putting your living spaces in order will clear any negative energy and make room for what will manifest soon. Declutter your altar, open the windows to allow fresh air to enter, perform cleansing rituals, clean all surfaces and water your plants.
Write a letter and burn it: Write down your deepest thoughts and then release all that wasted energy as you watch the sheet burn. Don’t forget to do it safely.
Release an intention: Consider what you want to manifest. Set a monthly intention or a wish for the season that begins. One common way to elevate that intent into the Universe is by writing it down and then burning it in a bay leaf.
Give thanks: Acknowledging what we have has a huge effect on our self-care. Gratitude can be amplified during a Full Moon and this develops positive effects that help us express our emotions.

Quantum Immortality: We Never Die
One of the leading interpretations of quantum theory is that every probabilistic event leads to a branching of reality, where all possibilities occur. This "many worlds" interpretation has been growing in prominence, but it implies a bizarre consequence. It might mean that you can never die, and will continue to survive not only life threatening events but even old age. Join us today as we explore the extraordinary idea of quantum immortality. Fukushima, Japan - UFO Fureai-kan
http://soranews24.com/wp-content/upl...ws-9.jpg?w=640
UFO fans have been increasingly active in Japan where lawmakers have called for official investigations on the phenomena, and UFO events in various cities have attracted many visitors.
Parliamentary members launched a nonpartisan group to study UAPs from the perspective of national security in June last year. The founding members of the group include Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.

Some Japanese municipalities are hoping to leverage on a return of the UFO boom for regional revitalization.
In 2021, a UFO research institute was established in the town of Iino in the city of Fukushima, where a UFO-themed facility called UFO Fureai-kan opened in 1992 following numerous reported sightings there.
City officials held the third UFO festival in November, which attracted some 4,000 enthusiastic visitors, many in alien costumes.

In a 12-month period of time between 2023 and 2024, there were 452 reported sightings in the tiny town, which has a population of 5,000. Locals claim the area has a unique magnetic force which attracts the otherworldly.

World's Oldest Impact Crater Found, Rewriting Earth's Ancient History
https://yt3.ggpht.com/ytc/AIdro_l7v7...00ffffff-no-rj
Published 11th March 2025 (1:57)
Curtin University researchers have discovered the world's oldest known meteorite impact crater, which could significantly redefine our understanding of the origins of life and how our planet was shaped.
The team from Curtin's School of Earth and Planetary Sciences and the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) investigated rock layers in the North Pole Dome — an area of the Pilbara region of Western Australia — and found evidence of a major meteorite impact 3.5 billion years ago.
Study co-lead Professor Tim Johnson, from Curtin University, said the discovery significantly challenged previous assumptions about our planet's ancient history.
"Before our discovery, the oldest impact crater was 2.2 billion years old, so this is by far the oldest known crater ever found on Earth," said Johnson.
This would have been a major planetary event, resulting in a crater more than 100km wide that would have sent debris flying across the globe.
Professor Johnson said, "We know large impacts were common in the early solar system from looking at the Moon. Until now, the absence of any truly ancient craters means they are largely ignored by geologists.”
