Former commander of Polish Land Forces Lieutenant General in reserve Waldemar Skrzypczak called to mobilize Ukrainian refugees in European countries on January 16, wPolityce informs.
“Together with NATO, we should start training new units of the Ukrainian army – in Poland, Germany and France. Train those Ukrainian citizens who are here – mobilize them, train, send to the front,” Skrzypczak said.
Skrzypczak noted that the situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate, and if the current situation persists, Ukraine will lose.
Skrzypczak added that an army of Polish emigrants was formed in a similar way in France in 1940.

What I'm reading between the lines is that his patience is running thin.
As for the west sending tanks, from the reports in videos in this thread the puny number of tanks looks more like a great way to fail while looking like you're doing something.

Yes, Ukraine had about 1000 (a thousand) T-64, T-72 and T-80 tanks before the start of the war. Most of them have been destroyed. The same will happen to the few dozen more that they might receive — and even then, they can't be on the battlefield immediately.
The discussion point might be the following. Is this all about optics and the PR-media-political appearance of 'supporting the team'? Or, if there's a serious US/NATO intention to escalate the conflict, at what point might other weapons start to appear, perhaps with tens of thousands of US/NATO troops on the ground?
