Chris Eubank calls his son a disgrace
The weigh-in, always a bit of a circus, has gone a step too far.
Must be some prior problems, some amount of estrangement, for dad to go breaking symbolic eggs on his kid’s head. Would be interesting to see dad’s history.
Is this fight yet to come? Buffoon daddy’s acorn might have given himself a dangerous dose of overconfidence.
Inspiring overconfidence in pool opponents, is an old trick of mine. And some times, when I miss an easy shot after my opponent has just screwed up, I ask have they taken my internet course on it.
Most folks don’t get it, but fighters and strategists would. Funny thing here is, the kid will hopefully own himself. I have a remark when a pool opponent gets themself in a rough leave from their previous shot: “Self made hero maker!”. Hehe, I always try to be the cause of great shots, good opponents are well worth the C$2 between smoke breaks.
The sooner pool becomes an Olympic sport, the better. I hope they at least mandate bank-the-8ball, but there are deep roots that will want a say. Fine on them, show your games. Me, I want a class judged as a performance art, like figure skating or skateboarding. Gimme my time to shine, attempting rare shots that sometimes land sublime, like what makes my own average losing feel tolerable.
Another short of Chris Eubank for Johnnycomelately to show Chris's very precise and gentlemanly demeanour, which goes totally against the grain of egg throwing :) which behaviour he would consider to be beyond the pale, just as he said.
A fascinating report of a Chinese paraglider who was swept to a crazy-high altitude by a sudden updraft.
Freak Updraft Sweeps Chinese Paraglider to 8,600m

On May 24, a Chinese paraglider named Peng Yujiang wandered into a powerful updraft while paragliding over the Qilian Mountains in northwestern China. It swept him up to an altitude of 8,589m, according to the South China Morning Post. This height is close to the cruising altitude of commercial airplanes and nearly matches the elevation of Mount Everest.
Peng, an experienced 33-year-old paraglider, took off from a launch site at about 3,000m, flying an Apollo 2 paraglider. After 20 minutes of flight, Peng entered an extremely strong column of rising air and lost control. It carried him so high that he faced temperatures around -40°C, low oxygen levels, and a wind speed of 90kph.
According to the official report, quoted by Cross Country, Peng experienced confusion and a brief loss of consciousness. He later told the authorities that he had no memory of flying between 7,100m and 8,500m. However, at some point, the cold partly revived him.
Peng unsuccessfully tried several times to escape the updraft. Caught inside the cumulonimbus cloud, he couldn’t see which way to go, and the turbulence caused his paraglider to collapse several times.
Eventually, however, a conscious Peng managed to navigate his paraglider back down. After more than an hour, he landed.
Peng had a camera on board, and his video has gone viral on Chinese social media. At first, some thought it was fake, but data from Peng’s flight tracker, verified by the Gansu Provincial Aviation Sports Association, confirmed he reached 8,589m. The survival of a totally unacclimatized person above 8,000m, especially in those temperatures, is remarkable.

yet, in the first world war, the pilots had open cockpits, no oxygen, no pressurization. Yet some (especially German) reconnaissance aircraft, such as the Rumpler, routinely flew at 24,000 feet/ 7,300 metres altitude; and the crew needed to be functional throughout - the pilot needed to fly and navigate, the observer to take good photographs.
