The Popular Front welcomes the decision of the International Court of Justice and calls for it to be turned into binding measures against the occupation
- The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine welcomes the decision of the International Court of Justice issued today regarding the legal consequences of the "israeli" occupation of Palestinian lands. This decision came at the request of the United Nations General Assembly. The court affirmed that the "israeli" occupation is illegitimate and illegal, that it is an occupying force, and that it practices violations and policies amounting to discrimination and apartheid.
- This decision represents a significant development in the positions of international organizations, as it is rare for an international organization to issue such a comprehensive and precise decision in describing the violations and crimes of the occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
- Although the court's decision is advisory and non-binding, it deepens the isolation of the zionist entity and increases the growing legal pressures on it due to its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.
- The Front calls on the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly to adopt the court's recommendations and to take serious measures to end the illegal presence of the occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories, despite the belief that the US administration will pose a real obstacle to issuing such decisions.
- Despite the importance of this decision, the fundamental question remains: to what extent can these decisions be imposed on the occupation, given the occupation's non-compliance with the court's decisions and its disregard for all its previous resolutions? Numerous resolutions condemning the occupation for committing war crimes and violating international laws have accumulated without being translated into executive steps.
- The Palestinian people, who have been repeatedly let down over the years of occupation and have faced continuous complicity by international institutions, especially during the ongoing zionist war for about ten months, are in dire need these for decisions to be transformed into enforceable resolutions. What is the use of these decisions if they are not imposed on the occupation? Especially since none of the previous resolutions to stop the aggression on the Strip or even to stop the ground invasion of the city of Rafah in the southern Strip have been implemented. The ongoing zionist genocide war and the occupation's disregard for all previous International Court of Justice decisions emphasize the necessity of taking serious and tangible steps to impose justice and end the occupation.
- The undeniable truth is that Palestine, from its river to its sea, is the land of the Palestinian people, and this occupation is destined to end no matter how long it takes and no matter the extent of its crimes. History bears witness that occupation and colonialism do not last. Despite the partnership and support provided by the US administration to the zionist occupation, and despite the international community's repeated failure to implement its decisions, the will of the Palestinian people and their right to freedom, dignity, and self-determination are stronger than all conspiracies. The continuous struggle and heroic steadfastness of our people, despite all challenges and betrayals, confirm that the occupation is inevitably doomed and that the dawn of freedom is coming no matter how great the crimes of the occupation become.

YEMEN Israel vows response to Yemen's Houthi drone attack on Tel Aviv: Media
Israel will respond to a drone attack carried out by the Houthi group on Tel Aviv, with a possible strike on Yemeni territory under consideration, Israeli media reported on Friday, Anadolu Agency reports.
“Israel will respond to the Houthi drone strike (on Tel Aviv),” the Israeli daily, Yedioth Ahronoth cited an unnamed senior official as saying.
“The option of an attack on Yemeni soil is on the table,” the official added, considering a potential retaliatory attack.
The Israeli official noted that the drone attack appears targeting the American Embassy building in Tel Aviv.
“It’s no accident that the drone exploded nearby,” the official hinted.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, held telephone consultations on the attack. His office issued a statement saying, “the Prime Minister has just concluded an assessment – via conference call – of the security situation with the participation of the heads of the security establishment”.
The office, however, did not disclose further details.
Early Friday morning, the Houthi group launched a surprise attack, marking the first instance of a bomb-laden drone targeting Tel Aviv.
Through its military spokesman, Yahya Saree, the Yemeni Houthi group declared Tel Aviv an “unsafe area” and a “primary target for its weapons”.
At least one Israeli was killed and 10 others were injured in the drone attack.
Israeli army spokesman, Daniel Hagari, said the drone that hit Tel Aviv was an Iranian-made Samad-3 model and it is believed to have been launched from Yemen.
There has been no immediate response from the Iranian side concerning Hagari’s claims.

UAE UAE ready to join Gaza force as Israel’s vengeance-driven campaign leaves no options
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its readiness to contribute troops to a multinational “stabilisation” mission in Gaza, marking the first nation to declare such an intention. This development, reported by the Financial Times, represents a significant step in addressing Israel’s lack of strategic planning for Gaza, which many critics view as a military campaign driven by vengeance without a clear objective, other than the mass killing of Palestinians.
Lana Nusseibeh, the UAE’s Special Envoy to the Foreign Ministry, stated that the UAE could deploy its forces if the US leads the mission and supports steps towards the establishment of a Palestinian State. “The UAE could consider being part of the stabilisation forces alongside Arab and international partners” Nusseibeh said, adding that it would only do so “at the invitation of a reformed PA, or a PA led by an empowered prime minister”. Nusseibeh stressed that “The United States should have the lead on this for it to succeed.”
The UAE’s position comes as Israel finds itself in a strategic deadlock, having failed to decisively defeat Hamas. Critics had warned, from the outset, about the dangers of a vengeance-driven war lacking clear political objectives. The current situation leaves Israel with the grim option of continuing its mass slaughter of Palestinians, further escalating the humanitarian crisis.
READ: Does Israel hold all the cards in Gaza?
Details about the nature of the multinational force, whether military or police, are still under discussion. The US has been advocating for Arab states to join such a force as part of its post-war plans, though it does not plan to deploy American troops.
Previously, Egypt and Morocco have been mentioned as potential contributors to a stabilisation force, with the Arab League calling for a UN peacekeeping mission in Gaza and the West Bank until a Palestinian State is realised. However, the feasibility of deploying such a force is fraught with challenges and contingent on Israel’s actions.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has consistently opposed the establishment of a Palestinian State and any significant role for the PA in Gaza, insisting that Israel retains overall security control. This stance complicates efforts to establish a multinational force without Israel’s cooperation.

ICJ: 'Israel' is an occupation Power violating international law
The President of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Nawaf Salam, affirmed that "Israel's" practices and policies violate international law and that the court will examine the legal implications of "Israel's" unlawful presence in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The analysis specifically addressed the prolonged Israeli occupation, "Israel's" settlement policy, the annexation of Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, and the adoption of related legislation and measures that are allegedly discriminatory.
The report further clarified that the Palestinian people, recognized under the Oslo Accords between "Israel" and the Palestine Liberation Organization, have the right to self-determination.
According to Salam, the ICJ's advisory opinion is based on the premise that the Palestinian territories are occupied lands and the occupied Palestinian territories in Gaza, the West Bank, and al-Quds represent contiguous and sovereign lands that must be respected.
The ICJ also considered that "Israel" exercised its authority as an occupying power contrary to international law, affirming that the prolonged occupation of Palestinian territories does not change their legal status.
Regarding the current war against Palestine's Gaza Strip, the ICJ President indicated that the current advisory opinion does not include the war that erupted in Gaza in October 2023.
Salam confirmed that the court considers Gaza part of the territories occupied by "Israel" in 1967, noting that "Israel" has retained its authority over the Strip, particularly monitoring its air, sea, and land borders.
Additionally, Salam emphasized that the Israeli occupation's "duties" in the occupied territories are subject to the 1959 treaty on the treatment of civilians during war, and the occupying forces are obliged to ensure the delivery of water to the inhabitants of the occupied areas.
He also described the Israeli occupation's use of natural resources in the occupied Palestinian territories as a violation of its obligations under international law, stressing that "Israel" must compensate for the damages caused by its occupation of Palestinian territories.
On the international level, the ICJ confirmed that all states have an obligation not to recognize the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and noted that everyone must distinguish between "Israel" and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Settlements in the West Bank and al-Quds: Violations of International Law
The President of the ICJ, Nawaf Salam, also confirmed that the court is "not convinced" that the expansion of sovereignty in the West Bank and al-Quds is "justified," and considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank and al-Quds a violation of international law.
In this context, Salam stated that the ICJ sees "Israel" treating East al-Quds as part of its territory and that "Israel" applied its laws there after 1967, stressing that the Israeli occupation is obliged to end its presence in the occupied Palestinian territories as soon as possible.
The ICJ President discussed the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, explaining that the transfer of Israeli settlers into the West Bank or East al-Quds contradicts Article 49 of the Geneva Convention and that "Israel’s" confiscation of Palestinian lands and granting them to settlers is neither temporary nor in compliance with the Geneva Convention.
The ICJ emphasized that the expansion of settlements into the West Bank and al-Quds and the construction of the separation wall serve to reinforce the occupation authorities and emphasized that all new settlement activities must be halted.
Salam also pointed out that "Israel" has accelerated the annexation of lands and the establishment of new settlements in the West Bank, amounting to more than 24,000 settlement units. The court believes that the control over occupied territories should be temporary, and its continuation amounts to an illegal annexation of large parts of those territories.
Salam then reviewed the number of Palestinian units demolished by the occupation in recent years, confirming that approximately 11,000 Palestinian units have been demolished since 2009 under the pretext of lacking permits. He also pointed out that Israel's practices have led to the expulsion of Palestinians from the occupied territories, especially Area C in the West Bank.

YAF has vast supply of UAV used in Tel Aviv: Source to Al Mayadeen
The Yemeni drone Yafa, used by the Yemeni Armed Forces in their Friday operation targeting Tel Aviv, was developed after Arab countries intercepted Yemeni weapons aimed at Umm Al-Rashrash [Eilat], an informed source told Al Mayadeen on Friday.
The source further stated that the stockpile of such drones is "very large" and emphasized that "this is not the last weapon" of its kind, noting that "American reports about intercepting these drones are inaccurate."
The source highlighted that the military operations on occupied Yafa are "coinciding with naval operations according to the objectives announced by the Yemeni army," affirming that "all operations will continue unabated."
One source told Al Mayadeen that the "target bank in Yafa is diverse," stressing that "Yafa will no longer be safe." The source described the operation as a "significant military success."
The source explained that the Yemeni Armed Forces' statement "revealed complete readiness for any changes," emphasizing that the operation is part of "escalatory steps that will not be reversed."
The source confirmed to Al Mayadeen that Yemen would not be "affected by counter-operations" and would "continue targeting its bank of targets."
Yafa drone
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced Friday a successful drone strike targeting a significant site in Tel Aviv, occupied Palestine, in continuation of their operations in support of Gaza.
The operation in question was conducted by the newly developed Yafa drone, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree declared early Friday. The drone is named after the Palestinian city occupied by "Israel" as part of greater Tel Aviv.
The UAV is designed with the specific aim of evading enemy radar and interception systems, Saree said. The drone reached its target and achieved its operational objectives.
The statement emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces now consider the area of Tel Aviv to be a strike zone and a primary target for future operations.
Saree declared the YAF's intent to continue focusing on strategic strikes against the Israeli occupation's internal front, aiming to reach deep within its territory.
Additionally, the spokesperson revealed that the Yemeni Armed Forces have in their possession a target bank with occupied Palestine, including sensitive military and security sites.
Saree vowed that the YAF would continue their operations against these targets in retaliation for the occupation's daily crimes and massacres against Palestinians in Gaza.
The statement further affirmed the YAF's commitment to supporting the heroic Resistance of Gaza, who are defending the Arab and Islamic world, asserting that the YAF's operations would persist until the aggression on Gaza ceases and the siege on the Palestinian people there is lifted.

Hezbollah strikes Israeli bases, introduces new IRAM
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced a series of operations on Friday, targeting Israeli military sites and forces in northern occupied Palestine in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and their Resistance.
The Resistance group also introduced the Wabel IRAM (improvised rocket-assisted munition), which was used to target an Israeli military base near the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
Following repeated Israeli killings of civilians in southern Lebanon, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah announced on Wednesday that for every attack on civilians, Hezbollah would strike new Israeli settlements not yet attacked.

One day after Sayyed Nasrallah's pledge, the occupation bombed three villages in southern Lebanon: Safad al-Batikh, Majdal Selm, and Shaqra, resulting in over a dozen civilian casualties.
In response to the aggression, the Resistance announced shortly after midnight striking the Abirim settlement in northern occupied Palestine for the first time with a salvo of Katyusha rockets.
At 9:30 AM, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the Ruweisat al-Qarn military base in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms. Using the locally-produced Wabel heavy rocket for the first time, the strike resulted in a direct hit, causing partial destruction and igniting a fire at the site.

Islamic Resistance fighters also targeted Israeli soldiers stationed around the Ramim barracks with a Burkan rocket and the Metula site with artillery shells at noon, achieving a direct hit in both.
At 12:13 PM, the Islamic Resistance targeted Israeli artillery positions in Khirbet Ma'ar and nearby Israeli soldiers with dozens of Katyusha and Falaq heavy rockets, achieving direct hits.
In two other operations in response to the civilian casualties in Safad al-Batikh, Majdal Selm, and Shaqra, Hezbollah announced striking the Neveh Ziv and Manot settlements for the first time with a Katyusha barrage, in addition to targeting Abirim again.
The Resistance also announced today targeting buildings used by Israeli soldiers in the al-Manara settlement with appropriate weapons, achieving a direct hit.
The al-Marj military base was struck with artillery shells at 4:10 pm, Hezbollah stated, confirming direct hits achieved.
Using a one-way drone, the Resistance said it targeted and destroyed technical equipment installed at the Al-Abad site.

At 5:23 PM, Hezbollah announced targeting for the second time today striking the Ruweisat al-Qarn site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms with rocket weapons. The Resistance confirmed direct hits to the base.
Separately, the Resistance said its fighters attacked and hit at nearly 6:00 pm the al-Samaqa site in the occupied Kfar Chouba hills with rocket weapons.
In a qualitative operation, Hezbollah's field artillery units targeted Israeli artillery positions north of the Ein Yaakov settlement in northern occupied Palestine.
The Israeli al-Malikiya military site was then struck with artillery shells at 6:50 pm, achieving a direct hit.
In response to the Israeli aggression on Safad al-Batikh, the Islamic Resistance announced carrying out two operations.
The first operation targeted the Yiftah barracks with the newly-introduced Jihad heavy rocket, achieving a direct hit.
The second consisted of attacking using one-way drones the positions of Israeli officers and soldiers in the newly established 91st Division Command in Ayelet. Hezbollah confirmed strikes were accurate.

'Israel' seeks to impose a new Islamic belief on Gaza: Report
DropSite news published a report on Friday detailing Israeli plans to establish a so-called "moderate Muslim" puppet regime in Gaza.
Such an attempt could be seen as an attempt to coerce or impose a new religious belief on the Palestinians in Gaza, which contradicts Article 18 of the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Article 18
"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance."
According to the report, "Israel's" post-war strategies for Gaza include options for either a direct Israeli occupation or, as outlined in a recent academic paper, the installation of a "moderate Muslim" regime.
The proposal, which was highly endorsed by Israeli security officials, advocates for dismantling Gaza's democratic institutions and transforming its society into a "moderate Muslim entity" modeled after the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Recommendations include demolishing refugee camps, banning current schoolbooks, and imposing strict media censorship.
It further calls for the elimination of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and replacing it with an Israeli-controlled entity.

Tzachi Hanegbi, head of the National Security Council, told i24 News in a recent interview: "We, at the [Israeli] National Security Council, have read [this] excellent document."
"And at the end of the day we, the decision-makers, will have to take into account this analysis, because it's a brilliant analysis."
According to the four Israeli academics who authored the research paper titled "From a Murderous Regime to a Moderate Society," the proposal had a significant impact within the Israeli leadership.
The paper was distributed to Senior officials in "Israel’s" National Security establishment, staff at the National Security Council, high-ranking members of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), the Shin Bet intelligence agency, and the five members of the War Cabinet, who were responsible for making final decisions on Gaza policy until its recent disbandment.
The proposal is argued to consolidate lessons learned from four historical regime change operations—in Japan and Germany after World War II, and in Iraq and Afghanistan following US-led invasions.
The authors claim that the system of governance in place before October 7 facilitated the emergence of a "socio-political structure which ... directly benefited Hamas."
The proposal's recommendations include:
Demolition and Reconstruction: Flattening refugee camps and rebuilding them with Israeli-designed housing.
Educational and Media Censorship: Removing current textbooks, replacing them with curricula from UAE and Saudi Arabia, and imposing strict media control.
Humanitarian Aid Control: Establishing Israeli-controlled "humanitarian bubbles" while eliminating existing humanitarian networks.
Governance and Control: Introducing a limited local government under constant Israeli threat to maintain control.
