Here's Chris Martenson on the whole thing. His video title says it all.

In summary: Musk is — or was — committed to trying to avert the coming economic crisis, and for quite a while he believed Trump was 100% with him on that. Trump did initially start off that way, but is now much more a captive of the Deep State, maybe something which even he could not prevent. And now nothing can stop what's gonna come.

(My own guess: the US economy will begin to tank before the end of this year. And by next year, it'll all be in plain view. :flower:)

Yes. This is one of the core issues. No-one's been arrested or (seemingly) held to account for all the fraud that DOGE unearthed.

And DOGE was only just getting started. Elon was personally committed to the project night and day. And despite the important discoveries about USAID and Social Security fraud, it never got to grips with a bunch of even more important issues, because all the roadblocks went up to impede it.

Trump, very probably under pressure from the Deep State, stopped supporting it.

I suspect that Trump never expected DOGE would make so many quick inroads into the deep-rooted DC corruption. And soon after all that was exposed, it's 100% clear DOGE suddenly had the door slammed in its face and was not permitted to go anywhere near auditing the Pentagon — or Fort Knox. (Remember that??)

The last straw for Elon was the 'Big Beautiful Bill'. He's 100% justified in his anger about that. He saw that this would bring down the US economy, would add more trillions to the debt — and Must never wanted that to happen. It went 100% against what DOGE was tasked to accomplish.

Elon's criticism of the bill sent Trump over the edge as well — because politically he has to get it through. Trump knew it was flawed, and Elon told the truth. But Trump is in a corner economically as well as politically. So he had to attack Musk in retaliation.

Then when Trump lied (yes, he did), saying that Musk was fully familiar with the bill way in advance, and he was just upset about the EV issue, Musk was even more enraged.

Musk felt very betrayed by Trump's maneuvering. Musk has never been a politician, but Trump has to be — which means making compromises, looking after donors, being aware of the Deep State, taking cheap shots at others which are unjustified, and distorting truths. (Yes, Trump does all that, as do all politicians.)

The Russians, when asked to comment on all this, politely said that it was none of their concern (which it's not). But they'll be quietly noting that this is more evidence of Trump's inability to keep his promises to individuals*, and his previously stated commitments to goals and projects.

* And don't let's talk about Jared Isaacman's withdrawal as the nominee to head NASA, who Elon naturally fully supported. Isaacman was by far the best person qualified for the job, and Trump had previously posted effusively in his favor. Isaacman's withdrawal was for purely political reasons: nothing at all to do with NASA or the US's future in space — which Elon also deeply cares about.

For Elon, all this is about pesonal integrity. I really feel pretty sure about this. :flower:

I understand that things take time. Much was found and cut off, but the wheels of justice turn slowly, if at all in this country... (Especially when dealing with political issues).. So I didn't expect for things to ramp up and be done and tied with a bow in such a short time... But I certainly didn't expect for it to end this way.

I do not know when the "Big Beautiful Bill" was written, nor had I heard of it before yesterday honestly, as I have been so busy... So I can't speak to it... But I do know that the money grabs never stop in Washington... And there is always a bill waiting to be thrust at the taxpayers to pay... It would have come whether some funds were freed from their ill gotten purposes or not I suppose, and only added to what was recently cut. Cuts or not, the next round of debt was going to hit at some point... Just as our bills come monthly..

I reserve judgement on who is in the right or wrong here, as you are absolutely correct, Elon can operate by the seat of his pants with the best of intentions, with a clear path ahead of him, without having to deal with the ridiculous nature of our government and all of the bought and paid for politicians, lobbyists, and those with enormous wealth who are really running this world, while Trump has to do the "Dance" around all of that.

Elon is used to learning of a problem, and surgically cutting it out, and moving forward. Either by hiring those wise enough to find the solutions, or figuring it out himself... It is either right or it is not, and it is that simple... And he cuts out the cancer. But politics don't operate that way, and we see that as fact by all of the whining and sniveling individuals demanding people acknowledge their mental illnesses into their own lives these days... And the government has been catering to those individuals for a very long time... Our government has terminal cancer requiring surgical intervention.

Trump has to run that gauntlet. It's a mess to be sure...

My guess is Trump assumed that Elon, being a wise man himself, would understand that these things would pop up, and that Trump would have to make some choices that wouldn't be very welcomed... At some point new decisions would have had to be made... You can't just stop everything without continuing to run a government.. Decisions need to be made, and everything is contingent on a time frame.. Good for only so long, and applications need to be resubmitted.

Cutting the previous waste and fraud is only a start, the only way this was going to be successful, is if the waste and fraud stopped being produced as well, and I surmise Elon see's this new bill as just that. Why bother cutting all this waste if you are just going to redistribute it again elsewhere?

It's certainly not an easy spot to be in.

A bipartisan coalition of 40 state attorneys general has sent a scathing letter to Congress warning against the 10-year federal ban on state regulation of artificial intelligence buried in the 1,116-page One Big Beautiful Bill Act—the same bill the House just passed along party lines.

This website’s early reporting on the issue even caught the eye of conservative commentator Dana Loesch (@DLoesch).

Now, U.S. Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) are speaking out against the bill’s section.

“The impact of such a broad moratorium would be sweeping and wholly destructive of reasonable state efforts to prevent known harms associated with AI,” the AGs wrote in a letter dated May 16, 2025.

That’s before the House passed the bill anyway.

“This bill will affect hundreds of existing and pending state laws… Some existing laws have been on the books for many years.”

Section 43201, titled the “Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology Modernization Initiative,” includes this stunning line:

“No State or political subdivision thereof may enforce any law or regulation regulating artificial intelligence models… during the 10-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act.”

This is not theoretical, and it’s not a slippery slope.

It’s a federal override of every state’s right to regulate AI, effective immediately if the Senate follows the House’s lead.

And the House did it knowingly.

As if AI needs a 10 year head start! It's likely 100 years from now people will look back at 2025 as the year mankind lost control over of our own human destinies, unknowingly or with foreknowledge. Sheesh

Agreed. US (you people don't know this) has been living with the whole world as its slaves.
Your leaders print 'money', others work and produce.

The invisible 'top' may have hoped, that by destroying Russia and getting its resources, US can continue another 10-20 years.

But endless lies to US and EU are -- crashing.

Trump has better info, and is creating 'money'.
Musk lives in mainstream, and believes that US went to Moon.
