I just heard about the Druze from some lunatic revisionist historian named Timothy Hogan who claims to be the Grand Master of the Knights Templar. I'd be interested except for the really crappy dot connection and my BS detector. He has concocted a narrative about the Knights not only finding the Arc of the Covenant but also technology (or something) from Atlantis. He says the US is the new Atlantis and he has written a number of books on that subject and the Knights Templar. He says the Druze (whose religion is a mixture of Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Christianity and some other bits) have always been big supporters of Israel. He says he was visited by a CIA agent who encouraged him to continue his mission. (I think he also believes his girlfriend or wife is a reincarnation of one of the Marys) It reminds of the Q a bit in terms of weirdness. So is it a CIA thing....they like finding weirdos to give the guns?

The Druze are Gnostic refugees from Cairo in the 900s. For a time period, they absorbed other Gnostic remnants in Canaan, and settled on a few mountains which they have kept because they fought for them. Since then, it has been a closed community. As M. LeClerc described, they fit nothing, although in actuality they resemble Buddhists -- this is the only other venue in the world I know of where offices are held by reincarnated individuals.

The ones that are in Israel are nominally loyal to Israel; same as in Syria. That equation stops working, should either country come up with something detrimental or oppressive; of course they won't take it.

Beyond that, I am not sure; my expectation is they are self-armed, and have nothing to do with the CIA.

Europeans have been trying to describe the Druze since the early 1800s, since Europeans are "experts" about everything, like fabricious statements about the Templars and so on. The only outer Druze initiate was HPB. Aside from her, they are, of course, trained to lie to random inquiries. We have little capability of understanding the "real thing", because it is not interested in us understanding it.

As for their socio-political demands, I imagine this will come up soon; I haven't been able to access Syrian news since this re-started. The bigger problem is the Kurds -- after all, they are stuck in an Arab Republic. Hafez Assad was, as I remember, intent on erasing their culture. Bashar reversed that and, as far as I know, granted them near-autonomy. But the Syrian Defense Force is an American--Israeli proxy among them. Therefor it is not currently possible to formulate any coherent Kurdish position. They have really been given the shaft by European map-makers, and, I would say, very intentionally so.

Druze and Kurds definitely deserve a place at the table to claim the same equal rights as anyone else on the Syrian territory. I would hesitate to add very many political factions into this, and, we will probably soon be able to see who's participating. I would rather listen to an Astana format, than just go with whatever John McCain tells me. America should just shut up and pay back all the stolen oil.

A question for you all. I'm searching for a specific video where Trump says something like "They give me money, so I do what they tell me to do." with regards to the Israel lobby, or perhaps it was about the campaign donations from zionist Miriam Edelson to the Trump campaign.

I am positive I've seen that video before, perhaps on the Project Avalon site or elsewhere. I just did an internet search for that video, but cannot find it now.

Does anybody know where to find it?

There is rumors on telegram that Assads escape plane has crashed.

I was just thinking that if I was in Assad’s shoes, I would turn off the airplane's transponder too… On the other hand, it is the Turks who started the crash rumours, that in itself is quite telling.

Turkish media reports alleged crash of Syrian Air Il-76 cargo plane with Bashar al-Assad, who fled Syria, on board

The plane carrying the fugitive Syrian President Bashar al-Assad could have been shot down in the area of Homs captured by the “opposition,” according to information coming from Turkish media.
According to the information currently available, Assad took off from Damascus on a Syrian Air Il-76 transport plane, but the plane disappeared from radar screens in the Homs area. This is confirmed by monitoring resources that track flights. According to Turkish media, the plane allegedly crashed, perhaps it was shot down by the rebels, because they have a lot of anti-aircraft systems, the Syrian army abandoned everything it could. There is also a version that the plane turned off the transponder so that it could not be tracked. (my emphasis)

What I have seen, the tracking of his plane ended, “ADSB”. Iirc the final ground speed, or speed across the land, was way low, which would mean a straight down plummet to the ground. Dangerously steep and fast.

IMO, ruler of a warring country could get those signals fabricated. Kind of a troll move, but maybe deemed necessary for some reason.

This seems to be a terrible, escalating situation. We can expect updates and a great deal of commentary throughout today. Turkey has a lot to answer for. How Russia and the rest of the BRICS countries will respond is anyone's guess.

It almost appears that some type of deal was made, possibly between Russia and Turkey. It's almost like Russia just stepped aside.

For "Rebels" to sweep Syria in this way with very little resistance, in less than 2 weeks, is extremely odd to say the least.

Turkey's always been the one I've been watching closely over the last few years. Seems they are now finally "busting a move".

The prophecy about Damascus becoming a pile of ruins is now ever more so possible now. Israel must be quite concerned about the huge fighting force in Damascus now.

Also, I bet Iran is keeping a close eye on their skies right now......

Yes. But there's no way Israel can keep this all together, they're far too stretched in every way. And there's no way the BRICS nations will tolerate this, with or without Turkey. Both Russia and China are reported to be 'furious'. Something fairly major will happen soon in response to all this — but I have absolutely no idea what it may be.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Bashar Assad has stepped down as Syrian president and left the country following negotiations with armed opposition groups amid the fall of Damascus to Islamist forces.

One of the many issues at play here is that Russia can't easily go head-to-head with Turkey, or else Turkey, which is still a NATO member, may open the Bosporus Strait to enable NATO/US warships to enter the Black Sea next to Ukraine — which at the moment Turkey is blocking, as it's legally entitled to do via the 1936 Montreux Convention.
