Most interestingly, Larry Johnson (highly experienced, well-connected, and nobody's fool) now concludes that Israel bombed the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza. (In his initial, earlier article he'd said he was open to the idea that it was an accident by Hamas.)
After Weighing the Evidence, Israel Appears Responsible for the Bombing of the Al-Ahli Hospital
I don’t think this post will make anyone happy and will certainly stir up criticism. I have been looking at the photographic evidence and listening to the audio of the missile impact/blast. Please understand that I am neither anti-Israel or pro-Israel. Ditto for Palestinians. Put me in the category of someone who thinks the Israelis and Palestinians deserve a chance to live in peace and security and should not be killing or oppressing each other.
I am now ready to offer my opinion. I believe the hospital parking area was struck by an Israeli munition, most likely a Hellfire launched from a drone. A friend with expertise in this area passed this on:An MQ-9 carrying thermobaric versions of the hellfire missile (something we’ve supplied to Israel) is very possible. That particular version of the missile (AGM-114N) provides a particularly nasty thermobaric/incendiary blast that was originally designed to be skipped/or detonated at the mouth of a cave opening and burn out all the oxygen (suffocating the inhabitants further down the tunnel). My leading theory? Israel might have thought there was a Hamas tunnel system in the area and was taking a shot. That impact crater fits. Why do I dismiss the charge that Hamas was responsible? Please look and listen to the footage of the blast:

I have searched the web and cannot find a single example of Hamas launching a weapon with this sound and blast signature against Israel during the past ten years. If you can find one, please let me know. I will stand corrected. The rockets Hamas routinely fires at Israel are not precision guided projectiles and they are not accelerating beyond the speed of gravity as they fall towards the earth with a great “Whooshing” sound. More importantly, the Hamas “warheads” are relatively small and have not caused mass casualties in Israel comparable to what was seen at Al-Ahli Hospital.
Some have suggested, wrongly, that it was an MK-84 bomb (a 2000 pound monster). Look at this and judge for yourself.

As you can see for yourself, any of the MK variants would have left an enormous crater in the parking lot. There is no big crater.
Israel did itself no favors yesterday (Thursday) in trying to distance itself from the Hospital bombing when it attacked part of the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius, an important historical and religious landmark. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Israeli military confirmed it bombed the church. Hamas supporters merely point to the attack on Saint Porphyrius as more proof that this is Israel’s standard operating procedure. The church bomb killed 17, which included some children, and wounded dozens.
Israel justified the attack:Explaining the damage done to the church, the IDF stressed that “Hamas intentionally embeds its assets in civilian areas and uses the residents of the Gaza Strip as human shields”.Which raises an interesting point about double-standards. If Russia attacked a church in Ukraine and killed children, women and disabled people, it would be rightly condemned for committing a war crime. What galls the Arab and Muslim world is that there is no similar outcry from the West, especially America.

There is some good news. Groups of Jews and Palestinian supporters have joined together to protest the actions of Netanyahu’s Government. While these protests are small, it is a hopeful sign that Jews and Palestinians can come together a call for a peaceful solution. However, Israel is still pursuing a more “cowbell” strategy.
The issue I had with the falling Islamic jihad rocket narrative, which I mentioned in my post regarding this, was that the firestorm created was a lot bigger than I would think was possible from even a full payload of fuel from one of these small rockets.
The issue I have with it being a thermobaric or vacuum bomb is that the blast wreckage is not consistent with what one would expect. Only one vehicle has been turned over and you would expect to see more vehicles sent flying, with much greater damage to the surrounding buildings, possibly even bringing them down.
Also, experts in medical damage should be able to establish that the injuries were consistent with a thermobaric explosion which can be quite unique.
I do think this issue should at least be debated and I can't see any mainstream engagement with this possibility which is interesting. (Although there maybe some I have not seen)
As I said before I believe the whole event has been kept ambiguous to maximise division.
Can you just imagine how this conversation went?
The Pope not understanding Biden's mumbled sentences and Biden not understanding a word the Pope said....
Evil is lurking around every corner and playing with the lives of approx. 8 billion people....Quote:
Vatican: Pope, Biden Discussed Israel Conflict, Other Wars
Pope Francis and U.S. President Joe Biden discussed the Israel-Hamas conflict and other wars in a telephone conversation on Sunday, the Vatican said.
The conversation lasted about 20 minutes and "focused on conflict situations in the world and the need to identify paths to peace," the Vatican said.

I don't know whether this is true or not, but it was posted on this telegram channel 34 minutes ago.
If Israel DOES bomb the hospital (and they might), then it's a self-announced war crime of the greatest magnitude. You cannot evacuate a hospital in an hour — or even several days.

The hospital is currently treating hundreds of patients, and sheltering thousands more.
Taiwanese owned Evergreen Marine Corp has declared a force majeure for stops in Ashdod port in Israel and are redirected to the port of Haifa due to rocket attacks. Since the conflict started war risk insurance has gone up tenfold.

What is an example of a force majeure event? Typical force majeure events include natural disasters (fire, storms, floods), governmental or societal actions (war, invasion, civil unrest, labor strikes), and infrastructure failures (transportation, energy).

Taiwanese container shipping line Evergreen Marine Corp (長榮海運) has declared force majeure on a shipment to the Israeli port of Ashdod, with its Ever Cozy vessel diverted to Haifa due to safety concerns, a customer note said.
This is one of the first force majeures declared since Hamas launched attacks on Israel on Oct. 7 and amid preparations by Israel’s military to launch ground operations into Gaza in retaliation.
The Ever Cozy on Tuesday was sailing toward Haifa, data from ship tracking and maritime analytics provider MarineTraffic showed.
While the smaller Ashkelon port, which is the closest terminal to Gaza, has shut, Ashdod has remained opened with restrictions on the transport of hazardous goods, including flammable and explosive materials.
In a note to customers dated Monday, Evergreen said that it was informed about the “persisting unsafe situation” at Ashdod port since Oct. 7.
“As the situation is beyond Evergreen Line’s control, we are formally declaring force majeure,” the advisory said. “All cargoes which were originally destined for Ashdod, Israel, will be discharged at Port of Haifa, Israel. Thereafter, the subject contract of carriage is treated as terminated and all carrier’s responsibilities shall cease.”
In the latest update, Ashdod port said on its Web site that employees continued to work “at a time when the port is operating with constant siren alerts for incoming missiles.”
On Tuesday, three ships, including an oil tanker, remained at anchor waiting to enter Ashdod, while 16 ships were anchored near Haifa, the MarineTraffic data showed.
Ashdod and Haifa are vital goods gateways for Israel.
War risk insurance rates have soared more than 10-fold in the past few days to Israeli ports with growing concerns over an escalation in hostilities.

The guy is a son of the founding Hamas leader. He switched from islam to christian years ago. Considering it's fairly well understood that Hamas was created by Israel, this rant has to be seen as highly political.
