Re: Megalithic stones and stone use all over the ancient world, why ?
I've really enjoyed this thread, so thank you Loki!
I'm very interested in all of this stuff. I disagree with Drusin though, on whether stones found in lines represent defensive positions. Not unless they were defending themselves from mortor attack or an artillery barrage! I imagine that when these stones were placed there the forest would have provided a better defence, but enough of that.
I suspect that at least some of these massive stones were moved using vibrational waves. Some kind of sound or musical tone. I was looking through my notes and found the name John Worrell Keely whom I had neglected to further research. Now I find this http://www.svpvril.com/svpweb10.html - Keely was famous for his dynaspheres, which are power generators capable of producing lift I think. Reading the site now, but it's a big mucked-up for navigation.
Looks like lots of people are building dynaspheres all over the world. Interesting...

It would seem stone was a good choice if you wanted your message to last. Perhaps other materials were not abundant during ice ages, or were not as resilient. As for how they moved the stones, General Knox moved several tons of cannons a thousand miles to Boston.
