The Ukrainian GUR's "Prymary" special unit conducted a series of FPV drone strikes on various high-value Russian targets in Crimea.
They were able to hit:
— Two S-300V air defense missile launchers
— One 9S15M "Obzor-3" radar
— One "Casta-2E2" radar
— One ST-68 radar
— One 9S32 “Imbir” radar system
The drones were launched from Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) in the Black Sea, which were likely launched from Odesa Oblast. The strikes were also carried out with the help of NATO reconnaissance aircraft operating over eastern Romania, specifically Boeing P-8A Poseidons, and Boeing E-3A Sentrys. These aircraft provided intelligence, likely including the coordinates of the Russian equipment.

🇺🇸🇷🇺US prepares major arms deals with Ukraine, undermining Washington's own dishonest "peace talks..."
As predicted, the US is continuing its war with Russia via Ukraine despite US President Donald Trump claiming to seek an end to the conflict.
The US is now proposing the sale of 10s of millions of dollars in weapons - this is in addition to contracts already drawn up earlier this year by US-based arms manufacturers with European nations who will then transfer the US weapons to Ukraine.
US "talks" with Russia where it disingenuously posed as a "mediator" in its own war on Moscow were a transparent ruse - US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth in February this year made it clear the goal was only to freeze the conflict, not end it, and tasked Europe with taking over while the US pursued a similar conflict with China in the Asia-Pacific region.
Besides superficial details - the Trump administration is continuing right where the Biden administration left off - despite telling Americans it would end the conflict within "24 hours."

🇺🇦⏳ 🇺🇸Revenues from strategic resources are not expected for decades - according to industry consultants, it will take at least 10 to 20 years to develop the deposits - assuming production starts at all and America finds investors
An agreement between the US and Ukraine on cooperation in the minerals sector is unlikely to bear fruit in the foreseeable future, writes Reuters.
Most Ukrainian deposits are insufficiently explored and have no proven economic return.
In addition, investors are likely to avoid a country where energy and transportation systems are destroyed and there are no safety guarantees.
The agreement lists 55 products, including oil, gas and critical minerals. According to Ukrainian data, the country has reserves of 22 of the EU's 34 strategic minerals, including lithium, nickel and rare earths. However, the investment climate in this region was already unfavorable before the conflict began, according to the publication.
To make matters worse, around a third of the promising projects are located in areas controlled by Russia, including deposits of lithium, graphite, rare earths, nickel and manganese.

After Zelensky's statement, Medvedev does not guarantee that May 10 will come in Kyiv -today
https://topwar.ru/uploads/posts/2025...edvedev-2.webp
Russia has responded to the provocative statement by the head of the Kyiv regime, during which he not only refused to adhere to the three-day truce proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, but also hinted at the possibility of strikes on our territory during the holidays.
As Zelensky put it, he cannot guarantee the safety of those world leaders who decided to attend the Victory Parade on Red Square on May 9. According to him, the Russian Federation is responsible for their safety, and, therefore, Ukraine cannot be held responsible for what is happening on Russian territory.
In turn, in response to the above-mentioned words, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev wrote in his TG channel, that no one is looking for "guarantees" from Zelensky. The Russian official called the words of the head of the Kyiv regime an ordinary "verbal provocation."
At the same time, Medvedev added that the illegitimate Ukrainian “leader” must realize that in the event of any provocation during the celebration of May 9, no one will be able to guarantee that May 10 will come in Kyiv.
It is worth noting that some experts have linked Zelensky's aforementioned statement with today's massive attack on Russian territory. Analysts believe that the latter was carried out with the aim of intimidating world leaders who are planning to arrive in Russia to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory, and the words of the head of the Kyiv regime are a hint that this could happen again at any moment.

Russian Foreign Ministry explains the consequences of silence about the May 2 2014 tragedy in Odessa

Odessa
The lack of Western condemnation of the events in Odessa on May 2, 2014 convinced the bandit Kiev regime of its complete impunity and untied its hands for further crimes, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador for Special Assignments on Kiev regime crimes Rodion Miroshnik said, RIA Novosti reported on May 2.
Miroshnik noted that the events in Odessa on May 2, 2014, when Ukrainian Nazis burned down representatives of the Anti-Maidan in the Trade Union House, was one of the first large-scale bloody crimes of the Ukrainian regime that came to power as a result of the coup d’état in Ukraine during the so-called Maidan with the support of the West.
“And the fact that at the moment of its commission the world was not horrified and did not turn away from the regime of murderers and outlaws, only convinced the bandits who came to power of their complete impunity,” Miroshnyk said.
He expressed confidence that if the reaction of the US and Europe at that time had been appropriate to the crime committed, the further development of events would have turned out differently. Miroshnik emphasized that with its silence regarding the tragedy in Odessa on May 2, 2014, the West has unfolded an “umbrella of irresponsibility” over those who were the perpetrators, ideologists and advocates of the terrible crime and brought the situation to its current state.
On May 2, 2014, Ukrainian nationalists crushed the Antimaidan tent camp set up on the square in front of the Trade Union House in Odessa. The militants drove Antimaidan activists into the Trade Union House, which was then set on fire. According to official data, 42 people were killed as a result.

Interesting monologue... analyze by dr. Vladimir Brovkin... I am not familiar with him... while browsing ... I found his channel... ja, interesting...
Trump's First Defeat: Minerals Deal with Ukraine
In this segmnt of Issues of Contemporary Politics with Dr.Brovkin I focus of political consequences of sighning of the Minerals' Deal with the US.
Hailed as a win for the US I here argue is that it is in reality a big defeat for Trump, for his agenda, for his claims of peace-maker and for his overall standing generally.
Dr. Brovkin is an American historian of Russian history and politics, formerly a Professor of Soviet History at Harvard University, the author of seven books on Russian Soviet History and of scores of articles. A consultant, researcher and teacher, his latest book: from Vladimir Lenin to Vladimir Putin: Russia in Search of Its Identity (Routledge, London 2024) is available from Routledge.com, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
This half hour interview with Stanislav Krapivnik was published by The Duran a few hours ago. Stanislav, who speaks perfect American English and is REALLY easy to understand, gives the most concise and easy-to-follow summary of the current state of the conflict that I've heard for a very long time.
For those who may be interested in all the military details and what we may expect to see next, I'd highly recommend this.
Russian military objectives, with Stanislav Krapivnik
https://youtube.com/watch?v=sUCjIWgHs4w
One of the YT commenters helpfully added Stanislav's very interesting bio: (explaining why he knows his subject!)Stanislav Krapivnik knows the US Army from the inside. He lived 32 of his 51 years in the United States. His family moved overseas from Lugansk in 1979, when Stanislav was 7 years old. In the US, he graduated from high school, received three higher education diplomas, and served as a tank officer and infantryman.
Having risen to the rank of Major, Stanislav refused this rank and left the US Army in 2004. Why? “In all the plans, Russia was a likely enemy, and I didn't want to prepare for war with my own people.” Stanislav has been living in Russia since 2014.

Col Doug Macgregor: PUTIN TAKING KYIV: a Real Possibility
Col Douglas Macgregor - Trump's "Bear Trap" in Ukraine
This passage is a lengthy and critical commentary on U.S. foreign policy, particularly regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict, and includes strong opinions about American political figures, military readiness, and global strategy. Here's a summary of the key points:
Ukraine-Russia Conflict: The speaker believes Russia has shown restraint and a willingness to negotiate, while blaming President Zelensky and the West—especially the U.S.—for prolonging the war. They suggest Russia may soon escalate by pushing toward Kyiv.
Trump’s Position: Trump is portrayed as wanting to end the conflict and stop the killing by cutting aid to Ukraine. The speaker supports this as the "most moral" choice.
Criticism of U.S. Politicians: The speaker criticizes both Democrats (e.g., Rep. Adam Smith) and Republicans (e.g., Sen. John Kennedy) for being out of touch or hawkish, accusing them of promoting dangerous rhetoric and unrealistic strategies, like confronting Russia, China, and Iran simultaneously.
On Putin and Promises: The claim that Putin has broken promises is dismissed as "neocon propaganda." The speaker argues Putin was open to peace and compromise, especially during earlier negotiations.
Military Readiness and Strategy: The U.S. is said to be unprepared for a high-intensity war with Russia, with depleted stockpiles and poor strategic positioning. In contrast, Russia is allegedly near full mobilization and ready for total war.
Economic Priorities: Instead of focusing on foreign wars, the speaker argues the U.S. should address domestic issues like inflation, debt, and the financial sustainability of social programs.
Critique of Elitism and Arrogance: The speaker compares current U.S. leadership to pre-revolutionary France—elitist, arrogant, and detached from reality—believing America overestimates its strength and underestimates adversaries.
Hope for Peace: Despite the bleak view, the speaker ends with cautious optimism that Trump could broker a deal to end the war and avoid further escalation.
When Stanislav Krapivnik states, starting at the 5:25 mark, that the "battle to look at is Krasnyi Lyman", I think he is referring to what is now marked on Google Maps as just Lyman, which is about 20 km northeast of Slovyansk, which in turn is about 10 to 15 km north of Kramatorsk, the other two cities to which Stanislav refers in that segment.
Later, starting about the 13:12 mark, he refers to cutting off supplies to the southern portion of the front toward Zaporizhia, and a chance of a deep encirclement to someplace north of Kramatorsk that I am not able to identify.
I suspect (but don't have the expertise to know for sure!) that some of this confusion, that's always been present in the war reporting since the start of the SMO, lies in the differences between the Russian and Ukrainian names for towns and villages.
These differences are sometimes subtle, sometimes distinct. Just one example of the latter that readers might be aware of: Bakhmut is the Ukrainian name for Artemovsk, as the Russians have always known it.
Text:
In one of the areas, Russian troops have begun using diver groups to covertly penetrate the rear of Ukrainian units.
Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen note that this is not about regular infantry — the divers have good special training, and because of underwater movement, it is impossible to detect such fighters using thermal imaging equipment, which significantly complicates monitoring their routes.
The use of such tactics is probably due to the difficulties of logistics and transporting personnel using boats and jet skis. Despite their speed and maneuverability, these vehicles become easy targets for FPV drones, which prevent Russian soldiers from safely reaching the shore. In this regard, the Russian command is probably trying to slowly and covertly accumulate these divers for further assaults and attempts to consolidate Ukrainian positions.
It is also possible that the divers not only act as attack aircraft, but also deliver provisions and ammunition in sealed containers. In addition, they can conduct engineering reconnaissance before large-scale landing operations.
