I remember having a weird dream (during sleep that is) that the Ukrainian/West vs. Russia war ended up with a nuclear blast (I forgot if it was Putin that launched it). The blast carved off a whole side of a mountain and exposed a buried alien ship. Just weird.

Thank you Pyrangello for those heart-felt words... forgive me for not watching the video. (I have seen photographs of the poor soldiers in this war. They were sufficient for me, tearing open old psychic wounds.) I have great difficulty just conversing with neighbours, who do not seem to be left sleepless from the awareness that this is happening. This insensitivity is worse, I think, than the one created by the suppression of guilt in the Covid context. (I feel greater isolation as well as a greater wish to “secede” from average humanity.) Just a week ago, the most authoritative mainstream daily in France where I live as an expatriate, Le Monde, gleefully and proudly titled their first headline “Le travail de sape” (“the work of undermining”), of the Russian positions that is, the Ukrainians were so good at doing. Whereas the reality is that their bodies are shredded by the intent of their genocidal government to murder its own citizens in the most cruel fashion imaginable. Belgium supplied weapons to Ukraine under a “very strict” rule prohibiting their use on Russian soil, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo explained after a Kiev-backed militia armed with Belgian FN SCAR rifles conducted a cross-border raid in Belgorod Region.
“Let’s first try to check things carefully and see if the origin of these weapons is indeed the donations that Belgium made in the context of the defense of Ukrainian territory,” the Belgian leader added. Speaking to RTBF television on Monday, he said the country’s intelligence services and the military were investigating the situation.
The government in Brussels was placed in an awkward position over a May 22 incursion into Russia by two Kiev-backed armed groups, the ‘Freedom of Russia Legion’ and the ‘Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK)’.
Images from the raid, which were examined by the Washington Post, showed the militants using hardware produced by several NATO members, including the US, Poland, Czech Republic, and Belgium. The Post’s sources suggested the weapons originated from the troves of arms supplied to Kiev by Western nations.
Belgium will demand clarifications from Ukraine about the evidence, according to reports in the country’s press. A government source said that donated arms were not “authorized for isolated groups which have an internal Russian agenda.”
The two militia groups, which adhere to far-right ideology, seek to topple the Russian government, according to their statements. RDK leader Denis Nikitin, who goes by the moniker ‘WhiteRex’, is a notorious international neo-Nazi figure.
Moscow considers the militias to be terrorists, citing their record of targeting civilians in a series of cross-border attacks this year.

The video text, which tells it exactly as it was:Footage of the capture of two AFU (Ukrainian) soldiers.The two surrendering soldiers lived, and their lives were saved by their Russian captors. The only reason more Ukrainian soldiers don't surrender is that they've been told so many lies by their own commanders about what the evil Russians would do to them if they did.
Two soldiers of the AFU decided to surrender and found themselves between two firing lines. Russian soldiers are holding them at gunpoint, and shouting "Crawl faster!"
At that moment, other AFU soldiers open fire on their former comrades. The Russians shout, "Fuck, they're shooting at their own!"
So while the AFU guys ran to the Russian trench to surrender, the Russians gave them covering fire with their machine gun.
This isn't the only video like this. I can't remember if this was ever posted (or it if's still visible), but a few months ago there was a video shot by the Ukrainians themselves of them shooting at and killing a small group of their own soldiers who were walking across a field waving a white flag trying to surrender.

⚫️ Svatovo-Kremennoe direction
The Russian army continues to expand its bridgehead on the Oskol River in the area of Masyutovka and Dvurechnaya. There are fierce battles in Novoselovsky, as well as the assault on Belogorovka with the support of artillery and aviation.
⚫️ Bakhmutskoe (Artemovskoe) direction
There is information about attempts of the AFU to break through the front line in the area of Bakhmut (Artemovsk). They attacked in the area of Soledar, Kleshcheevka and Berkhovka. As a result, heavy fighting ensued, ours held their positions and destroyed several units of enemy armored vehicles with return fire.
⚫️ Donetsk direction
In the Avdeevka section, our fighters continue to drive out the fighters from fortified positions that cover Avdeevka, but no major changes have occurred today. In Marinka, Russian forces successfully storm the western outskirts.
⚫️ Zaporozhye direction
