Slaviangrad report
During the night, the enemy did not abandon attempts to break through the first line of defense in the Zaporozhye direction.
The enemy was able to approach some distance to our first line of defense along the gray zone on the Orekhov - Rabotino line, but the roll was repulsed.
The militants could not penetrate the defense and retreated. It is reported about the destroyed equipment.
During the first deadly attack on the night of June 8, the crest successfully lost:
- German tanks Leopard 2A6 and 2A4
- American infantry fighting vehicles M2A2 Bradley
- American MRAP M1224 MaxxPro
- Dutch armored personnel carrier YPR-765
- Czech tank T-72M1
- French armored car VAB
- Finnish BMR Leopard 2R HMBV

- @Kim Dotcom: The US proxy war in Ukraine explained:
The beating of NATO equipment continues: Over the past 24 hours, 5 more new "copies" have been added to the "Bradley burial ground" near Orekhovo
And judging by this video, these are all the same American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. Now there are already eight of them (two are still smoking, apparently fresh, destroyed last night).
In earlier videos, there were only three of them (photo attached). Plus one previously destroyed "Leopard-2A6" and one BRM-2 (based on the T-54 tank, probably tried to drag someone away and remained at the burial ground).
That is, we conclude that the 47th brigade, despite the losses, is trying to move forward (even a new road was dashed off to bypass the burial ground) and ... only bears more and more losses.

An interesting (but inevitable!) bit of news:War correspondent Alexander Kots reports that the first captured Leopard tanks were taken to the rear by the Russian military.Separately, it's reported here and here (apparently proven by audio from a Ukrainian video) that one of the Leopard tanks shot another one due to a mistake by the gunner. If this is established, then this is more proof of the dangers and deficiencies of VERY little training having been provided to the crews of unfamiliar foreign equipment
Overnight reports suggest that the offensive did indeed continue to some extent, as a result of which many more vehicles were destroyed by Russian artillery. Pro-NATO analysts write that they are dismayed about the clear chaos and disorganization among the Ukrainian forces.
- New York Times’ Pathetic Whitewashing Of N@zis In Ukraine!
Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the New York Times was well aware of the neo-Nazi “problem” among Ukrainian militias like the Azov Battalion. But then that became inconvenient, and the Times conveniently reframed Azov as “celebrated.” Now, however, the Times has (re)discovered these militias’ members’ tendency to don Nazi insignias and patches, but describes this phenomenon not as an indicator of the problem of Nazism among the fighters, but rather as a problem for NATO in trying to counter Russian “propaganda.”
Jimmy ridicules the Times for so transparently carrying water for NATO imperialism and serving as a propaganda tool for the west against Russia.
An interesting and clear little video of a Ukrainian light tank on fire going as fast as it can in reverse, before the crew all jumps out and flees.

A fascinating short update from The Moon of Alabama, all about how come the dogpile graveyard of Ukrainian tanks and other tracked vehicles just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
"Let's Try This Again!"
Yesterday I posted a picture of a Leopard 2A6 tank, 4 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and a Soviet era mine clearing vehicle all caught up next to each other in a minefield. There is now also video of that.

For unknown reasons the Ukrainian command later decided to add five more Bradleys to the scrap exposition:Military Advisor @miladvisor - 18:06 UTC · Jun 9, 2023 ⚡️👇9x 🇺🇸M2 Bradley,🇩🇪Leopard 2A6, armoured recovery vehicle lost by Ukrainian forces.https://www.moonofalabama.org/16i/damage12-s.jpg

It is the same Leopard tank in the same position. I believe that the 'armoured recovery vehicle' @miladvisor mentions is an incorrect identification of the mine clearing vehicle that can also be seen in the previous picture.
All of those vehicles seem to have some mobility damage, i.e. they lost their tracks due to mine explosion. One of the added Bradleys seems to be on fire. Then its neighboring Bradley decides to also burn and explodes.

Someone had sent half a company into a minefield where it was damaged and stopped. He then sent the second half of the company into the same place where it met the same fate.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." (No, that is not an Einstein quote.)
Here is a first person view video from the Ukrainian side of what I believe is another group of four Bradleys in a minefield. Some of the soldiers involved are being evacuated.
Simplicitus tries to put some rationality cover over the Ukrainian decision to attack the strongest defense position of the Russian forces:This is all to say that Ukraine has almost no time left to make a big splash. They have no option apart from gaining one final big flashy triumph they can hail as a victory to be sold to their souring Western audience, whose support is slowly drying up, and who’s getting ready to throw in the towel. And the only way for Ukraine to get such a huge and relatively ‘fast’ triumph is by severing the Crimean landbridge. It’s the only objective in the entire conflict where Ukraine can deal one big deathblow to Russia’s jugular in a very proportionately small amount of moves. No other possible combination of captures or assaults in Donbass can have such an effect.I find that hard to accept. One attacks where one has the highest chance of success, not where some foreign political calender tells one to go. How that is then (over-)sold to the 'western' public is a completely different question.
Throughout the last night the 47th brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces tried to attack the Russian lines. The 47th is supposed to be elite, as it was trained and armed by NATO countries.
Two columns of the brigade were hit and stopped before they could reach the line of contact. What was then left to attack failed to break through.
This is a report - an audio report - from the commander of the 58th Army, Major General Ivan Popov, wherein he revealed details of the night battle in the Zaporozhye region during June 7th/8th. It sounds like he's dialling this in direct from the front:
"Initially, the 58th army was entrusted with the hardest mission to defend one of the most important strategic directions - Zaporozhye. Therefore, the enemy group was assembled and created to fulfill the tasks of Ukraine to achieve the goals of this offensive operation. It includes the most prepared and combat-ready formations and units. One of them is the 47th Mechanized Brigade, which is part of the strategic reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In this offensive operation, its purpose was to break through the defense.
We have a lot of hard work ahead of us. Everything is just beginning, so we will prepare. We will watch, we will watch and we will carry out the combat task assigned to the army".
