I have just watched, on Rumble, an interesting podcast that was published yesterday by RT and that is titled:
WW3: West and Russia in a HYBRID WAR, Heading For Direct Collision
It is in English and approximately 30 minutes long.
The podcast starts with the host mentioning Tucker Carlson to his Russian guest, who replies that Tucker is one of the most popular persons from the United States in Russia...
Here's the podcaster's description of the episode:
On this episode of Going Underground, we speak to Fyodor Lukyanov, editor-in-chief of Russia in Global Affairs, chairman of the Presidium of the Russian Council of Foreign and Defence Policy, and research director at the Valdai Discussion Club.
He discusses:
why currently there is no prospect for direct or indirect negotiations between Russia, Ukraine and NATO nations,
the rising distrust against mainstream media in the US and Europe,
the destruction of the Kakhovka dam,
the emergence of a multipolar world and Russia’s lack of ruling ideology,
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s evolution from a pro-Western leader to a leader now opposing US hegemony,
reports of the imminent demise of Russia in NATO nation media,
and much more.
Yes, those subjects have already been addressed by more familiar analysts, but if you are interested, the podcast can be watched on Rumble:
But I will try and embed the source video (from RT's servers) here:

One May 30, 2023—just days before the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam in Ukraine—Russian authorities announced that they wouldn't investigate damages to hydroelectric plants caused by terrorism or military attacks until 2028.
In 1941, the Soviet Union destroyed another dam in Ukraine (Zaporizhzhia's dnipro dam) to cover the retreat of the Red Army from the Nazis.
Maybe these are just coincidences, but I find them remarkable. I saw many mentions of the 1941 incident in the media, but only few of the recent Russian decision not to investigate incidents. Ukrainska Pravda, Human Rights in Ukraine, and Euromaidan Press reported on it.
Thank you Christian. However.. In 41 the Soviets covered their retreat from the Germans... So what is exactly the parallel.. with the present situation?

The parallel would be to stop or slow down the advance of a hostile army.

Scott Ritter is on with The Duran in a livestream that started 25 minutes ago. This is the first time we've had a conversation between Ritter and Alexander Mercouris, which is certain to be of the highest quality. (I've only just started listening to this. There'll be nothing to watch, so audio only is fine.)

Christan, if you want to draw parallels between 1941 and the present day, as a German talking about Russia this may be unwise. :)

I have a German passport, apart from that I consider myself a universal soul inside a human being residing on planet Earth.
For more parallels between 1941 and today, I think both the Nazi/Soviet war and the Ukraine/Russia war are wars between two evil governments for the benefit of power elites on both sides and at the expense of the general population.

"The United States pretends not to be afraid of the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, but there are many people in America with a healthy head who clearly do not want to lead the case to the Third World War. There will be no winners in it, including America won’t win,” Putin said. http://t.me/vicktop55/15553
Text: Statements of Russian President, Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with Russian military correspondents:
—The goals of the special operation are changing according to the current situation, but in general they remain the same.
—Russia is still determined to have the kindest relations with the former Soviet Union and with the West.
—The West is trying to use Ukraine to destabilize Russia.
—We thought we were part of the club, and I even floated the idea of joining NATO, but we were not even considered.
—About the events in Donbass in 2014: We did not touch [the situation] even with a finger, but we were forced to stand up for the people. We tried to negotiate sincerely.
—About Zelensky: I am surprised that a person who has Jewish blood in his veins can support neo-Nazis.
—Ukrainians "threw away" all agreements reached in March 2022 after the Russian troops withdrew from Kiev.
—Lenin is being thrown off his pedestal in Ukraine and the fascist Bandera is being placed in his place. He has been elevated to the rank of national hero.
—What is happening now in Ukraine will never suit Russia. [In Russia] there will never be anything neo-Nazi.
—Russia is gradually and methodically demilitarizing Ukraine.
—Ukraine's military-industrial complex will soon cease to exist at all.
—About the Ukrainian offensive: This is a large-scale counteroffensive, but it has had no success in any area.
—Summarizing the results of the first almost ten days of the Ukrainian offensive: According to the president, the AFU is suffering losses, the [ratio of] irretrievable losses of Ukraine [to sanitary] are "almost 50 to 50", 1 to 10 in favor of Russia.
—Of all the losses, they are approaching an estimate that can be called catastrophic, in terms of personnel.
—Our personnel losses will be voiced by the Defense Ministry, but we lost 54 tanks.
—About the destruction of the Kakhovskaya Hydropower Plant: Unfortunately, it thwarted the [Ukrainian] counterattack [in this area], it would have been better if they had attacked.
—The Dnepr flood disrupted the offensive of the AFU in the area, which is bad for us, because for the AFU it would have been even worse.
—Polish mercenaries are fighting on the Russian border area and are suffering heavy losses.
—Livestock graveyards and cemeteries ended up under water after the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP, but the problem is solvable, the chemical protection troops will help to solve the problems.
—About drone attacks on Russia: The same happened in Syria, we quickly learned how to fight, the problem here is also solvable.
—Russia will consider creating a "sanitary zone" [GB: “buffer zone”] on the territory of Ukraine in case the shelling of our regions continues. A "sanitary zone" will be created on the territory of Ukraine. Such a zone is needed in order to secure our regions. Work on this issue will soon begin.
—About Russia and Ukraine: We have a country, they have a regime.
—Overall, there is no need to introduce martial law in Russia, it is necessary to work more thoroughly on some issues.
Continued statements of Russian President, Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with war correspondents, PART III (continued from here):
—On the Ukrainian offensive: Ukraine has lost over 160 tanks and over 360 armored vehicles during this time, there are more losses that we do not see.
—All red lines have long since been crossed, they do not exist. And it was their crossing that caused the start of the special operation.
—About Ukraine's desire to join NATO: "You want to leave - leave, but leave with what you came with." [GB: In other words, you don't get to take the land and the people you got by being part of the Soviet Union. You get to leave only with what you had before you got here. Frankly, this is just rhetorical. The land (some parts of it, on and off) currently referred to as Ukraine had been part and parcel of Russia for centuries, or since the inception of the state.]
—About how long the men have gone to the NWO zone: The law does not provide for specific terms, it will have to be based on the personnel, but we have decided on regular leaves, almost everyone is coming back from leave.
—The conscripts are present in Belgorod and Kursk regions, and there they have to fulfill their sacred duty—to defend the Fatherland. No one wavered, and General Lapin marched along with them with his service weapon.
—Ukraine should not exist at the expense of the Russian Federation and on the historical Russian territories, if normal relations are not built.
—Putin was asked about private military companies and how to bring them back into the legal field. The President answered that he had asked to bring everything in accord with common sense, established practice, and the law. Putin also said that the Defense Ministry was already signing contracts with all those who wish—this was the only way to ensure all social guarantees.
—We pay 300,000 rubles for shooting down an enemy plane, 100,000 for destroying a tank.
—We have a variety of military plans.
—Whether it is Bradleys or Leopards, they all burn well.
—Further direction of the SMO will depend on the outcome of the counterattack by the AFU.

◾️The outrage came live on Ukraine TV when they learned that the United Nations doesn't believe the Nova Kahrkovska dam was blown up by the Russians:
- UN Human Rights Office spokesperson, he said that he cannot yet consider the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPS by the Russians a war crime, because the circumstances are not clear enough... Bild journalist also immediately asked about the evidence. The journalist asked him twice about the evidence. Why? Why do they doubt?
Propaganda will tell you that Russia detonated the Nova Kakhova Dam which was and is under its control. It thereby allegedly cut of Crimea from its major water supply and endangered the cooling of the six reactors of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The island as well as the power plant are under firm Russian control.
Well, so you can believe that. Or you can look for some facts hidden behind such 'news'.
Experts say the dam, which was held by Russian forces, was probably destroyed by an intentional explosion within the massive structure. They say an explosion from the outside, like a missile strike, or a structural failure caused by earlier war damage and high water spilling over the top, were conceivable causes but far less likely.---
Engineering and munitions experts have said that the dam was probably breached by an explosion from the inside, not by shelling or other external attacks, and not by a structural failure.---
The United Kingdom has delivered multiple “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles to Ukraine, giving the nation a new long-range strike capability in advance of a highly anticipated counteroffensive against Russian forces, multiple senior Western officials told CNN.---
The Storm Shadow's BROACH warhead features an initial penetrating charge to clear soil or enter a bunker, then a variable delay fuze to control detonation of the main warhead. Intended targets are command, control and communications centres; airfields; ports and power stations; ammunition management and storage facilities; surface ships and submarines in port; bridges and other high value strategic targets.---
"Two stage warhead punctures external shell, then detonates inside target"
When engaging hard targets, such as Hardened Aircraft Shelters or bunkers, the missile will strike the target at the estimated optimum dive angle, selected during mission planning. On impact the detonation sequence commences. The precursor charge will perforate the target structure, and any soil covering, and the follow through penetrator warhead will continue to penetrate inside the target to be detonated after a preselectable fuse delay.
Well Christian – apart from what I have always known, studying history – also the gradual transformation of the Soviet Union after Khrushchev makes your comparison quite unwieldy. (Omnis comparatio claudicat.) The Zelinsky regime is a farce repeat of Nazi Germany as Biden’s tyranny is of Roosevelt’s, but Russia is in no way a repeat of the Soviet Union.
Apart from that, the total triumph of lying in US and UK officialdom as well, to only a slightly smaller extent in Europe (re both the vaccine crisis and the present war), turn the West into a tyranny which Russia compares quite well against.
So again, where is the parallel? Referring to lofty principles works for our own ethical decisions, but not for the description of facts. Wir brauchen hier keine Gutmenscherei, die historische Differenzierungen verwischt.... Unfortunately, humans are not equal – they are in God’s eyes, but not in this world... and some are more fair than others. It is because of these lies and crimes of certain men and women that tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of beautiful human beings – on that point only I agree with you: – are being butchered — as in the First World War.

Putin's meeting with military correspondents is the main event of the year, according to some Russian sources. Kudos to whoever came up with this. Because it's a live format, which means it's pretty reliable. First of all, trust for citizens of the RF. This is a big defeat for the "party of ossified bureaucracy", which does not want to change anything.

At the end of the three and a quarter hours, Alexander Mercouris thanked Scott Ritter for the 'titanic' livestream. That was really quite a good word to use.
