Vladimir Putin: Ukraine refused to negotiate with Russia, “morons, everything would have ended long ago”
“ Let me remind you that we agreed on everything in Istanbul. We agreed on everything <…> A day later they threw all the agreements into the trash. Now they have publicly said: “Yes, we were ready, we missed it because the then British Prime Minister, Mr. Johnson, came and persuaded us not to implement these agreements.” Well, idiots, no? If we had gone for this, everything would have been completed a year and a half ago ,” Putin said.
Other statements by the President at the meeting with heads of municipalities:
🟠 The initiative is entirely in the hands of the Russian Armed Forces
🟠 If the same thing continues as now, Ukrainian statehood may suffer an irreparable and very serious blow.
🟠 The “peace formula” that both the West and Ukraine are talking about today is nothing more than prohibitive requirements for the negotiation process

Yes, it sounds like he is talking pan-Slavism, which, at one point, would have been perfectly valid, but then, let's say, "infiltrated" by organizations such as Black Hand and the like, formed the powder keg for what we now call World War One.
Now, at least, it is relatively easy to identify CIA-backed "color revolutions".
We found an MI6 case here in Ukraine, which was like money laundering, it was cash in --> random act of violence out. Didn't matter if it was with a gun or a bomb, there was no plan, it was like money as a type of insurance that someone would do dirty deeds for you.
Very telling that Slovakia would say keep the U. S. out of Slavic peace initiatives.

Russian air defenses have reportedly intercepted two NATO-supplied Storm Shadow missiles that were apparently heading towards a school and medical facility in Russia’s Kherson Region, according to the governor, Vladimir Saldo.
In a Telegram post on Wednesday, the governor stated that the missiles were brought down near the village of Popovka in the Genchesk municipality, and posted several photos apparently showing what was left of the Franco-British-made munitions.
“In an open field near the village of Popovka, the military found fragments of the downed missiles. Individual marking elements were discovered indicating their foreign production,” Saldo wrote.
The incident follows a string of attempted missile and drone strikes by Kiev’s forces on Russian regions bordering Ukraine in recent weeks, often using NATO-supplied munitions. On Tuesday, Russian air defenses repelled a UAV attack on the city of Voronezh, located around 200km from the Ukrainian border. Despite shooting down the drones, several buildings sustained minor damage and one young girl was injured by shattered glass.
Earlier this month, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that the military shot down three dozen Ukrainian drones that were targeting the Crimean Peninsula, as well as ten projectiles, including Western-supplied Storm Shadows, aimed at the city of Sevastopol. While none of the missiles managed to reach their destinations, debris from the destroyed projectiles caused some property damage and injured one civilian, according to local media reports.

Russian missiles strike Western fighters in Ukraine – Moscow 17 Jan, 2024
Scores of French mercenaries were killed in Kharkov, the Russian Defense Ministry has said

Over 60 foreign fighters in Ukrainian service, most of them French, have been eliminated in a precision strike on a building in Kharkov, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
Kharkov is a major stronghold of the Ukrainian military in the east and has been the launching pad for rocket attacks on Russian territory, including the December 30 massacre in Belgorod that killed 25 and injured more than 100.
“On the evening of January 16, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a high-precision strike on the temporary assembly point of foreign fighters in the city of Kharkov, the majority of whom were French mercenaries,” the ministry said.
“As a result of the strike, the building in which the mercenaries were stationed was completely destroyed. More than 60 militants were killed, [while] over 20 were taken to hospitals,” the Russian military added.
The strike came on the same day that French President Emmanuel Macron announced Paris could not “allow Russia to win” and pledged to send 40 SCALP cruise missiles and “hundreds of bombs” to Kiev.
Ukrainian authorities initially said that two missiles had struck an inactive hospital, injuring nine people. Kharkov regional governor Oleg Sinegubov later said that 17 people had been wounded, two of them seriously.
Regional police head Vladimir Tymoshko told the outlet Suspilne that no military personnel were among the injured, only civilians, and that the target had been a “civilian residential building.”
“This is genocide,” Tymoshko claimed.
Thousands of foreign fighters flocked to Ukraine at the start of hostilities with Russia in 2022, only to quickly become disillusioned by the realities of modern war.
The most recent estimate of their number was in July, when the Russian Defense Ministry said only 2,000 mercenaries remained in Ukraine. Of the original 11,000, some 5,000 left because they were unhappy with their treatment, while others became casualties, Moscow said at the time.

Poland’s decision to host German troops will not go unanswered – Moscow 17 Jan, 2024
Russia views such moves as yet another display of the West’s Russophobic agenda, the Russian Foreign Ministry said
Warsaw’s announcement that it is prepared to invite German military units, in addition to already existing NATO forces in the country, demonstrates the West’s anti-russian agenda and desire to increase tensions in Europe and will not go unanswered, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Her comments come after Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Szejn stated on Monday that Warsaw was willing to host German troops on its territory for the first time since World War II in order to further strengthen NATO’s eastern flank. It’s unclear if Germany has any actual plans for such deployments.
During a press briefing on Wednesday, Zakharova recalled that there are currently about 10,000 US troops already stationed in Poland, as well as a multinational NATO combat tactical group which includes military personnel from the US, the UK, Romania and Croatia.
The spokeswoman pointed out that calls to deploy even more foreign forces to Poland were “not necessary if these countries are peace-oriented,” and can only be interpreted as a desire to further escalate tensions in Europe and prolong the collapse of pan-European security, which she said has been completely undermined by NATO.
Zakharova also recalled that late last year, Germany had signed an agreement with Lithuania to increase the size of the Bundeswehr contingent in the Baltic republic to a brigade, and suggested that Polish leaders were trying not to “lag behind their neighbors in demonstrating loyalty to their older brothers from Berlin and Washington.”
“The increased activity and the strengthening of NATO’s military capabilities near the borders of Russia and the Union State of Russia and Belarus is provocative and is leading to the complete degradation of the European security architecture,” Zakharova said, stressing that “such steps will, of course, not be left without an appropriate response from the Russian side.”
The spokeswoman also pondered how Poland intended to finance the potential deployment of German troops on its territory and whether it would seek compensation from Berlin, given the fact that Warsaw is already demanding $1.3 trillion in WW2 reparations from Germany.
The reparations demands were put forward under the former PiS government which was ousted from power last month. Poland’s new government, led by former European Council President Donald Tusk, has stated that it will continue to seek these compensations from Berlin, but would work with Germany to find “a favorable and fair solution.”

☠️ 💉 Without food, but high: a mother of a dead AFU servicewoman recounts her daughter's last days
The mother of a dead AFU servicewoman told Russian journalists that the unit in which her daughter fought in the direction of Artemovsk was practically starved of food, but there was always plenty of psychoactive drugs and alcohol.
"Before she died, a week ago, she told me: "It's very scary, we were just abandoned, we were left at the positions, we got no help, no protection, no support, nothing, we shared one ration for several people, and there was no water", the Ukrainian recounted the last conversation with her daughter.
However, the AFU commanders did not restrict the Ukrainian military to forbidden alcohol and drugs, emphasised the mother of the dead girl.
"They drank and used drugs. I don't know, but you lose sleep, you lose fear," the woman said, noting that the military use these drugs to somehow dull the exhaustion and insane fear.
Last summer, Kiev regime officially admitted to supplying drugs to Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Globalism is failing. The West is trying to drain Russia via a proxy war. The US tried fomenting a coup in Hong Kong. Israel created an explosive situation in the middle east by allowing the October 7th attacks and carrying out a very sloppy retaliation.
If there is one thing I have gleaned from the Ukrainian-Russo war, it's that it has proven that large infantry forces are still needed. Any decent-sized war, as opposed to a skirmish or interference with a third world country would absolutely require a draft.
This part of the military has been neglected for decades in the UK/US and probably other countries, with advanced tech and specialized personnel being a focus. Simultaneously, the core demographic has shifted to one that has zero interest in serving while the government and military have ostracized the groups that do. Overall, a precarious position.

His call sign is "Babai", he is 46 years old, mobilised from the Chelyabinsk region. He didn't just dodged a kamikaze drone, he disarmed three AFU drones!
