QAnon, Ukraine and 'biolabs': Russian propaganda efforts boosted by U.S. far right
Russian and Chinese officials have also pushed the theory, which has reached mainstream conservative media in the U.S.
By Ben Collins and Kevin Collier
Russia’s early struggles to push disinformation and propaganda about Ukraine have picked up momentum in recent days, thanks to a variety of debunked conspiracy theories about biological research labs in Ukraine. Much of the false information is flourishing in Russian social media, far-right online spaces and U.S. conservative media, including Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox News.
The theories, which have been boosted by Russian and Chinese officials, come as U.S. officials warn that Russia could be preparing a chemical or biological weapons attack of its own in Ukraine.
Most of the conspiracy theories claim that the U.S. was developing and plotting to release a bioweapon or potentially another coronavirus from “biolabs”’ throughout Ukraine and that Russia invaded to take over the labs. Many of the theories implicate people who are often the targets of far-right conspiracy thinking — including Dr. Anthony Fauci and President Joe Biden — as being behind creating the weaponized diseases in the biolabs.
Disinformation experts said the biolabs theory echoes other Russian propaganda meant to justify its military efforts, which often makes allegations against other countries and populations that reflect similar attacks it plans to make.
PolitiFact has debunked the theories, and no evidence of U.S.-run bioweapons labs in Ukraine has been put forward. Avril Haines, the director of national intelligence, told the Senate Intelligence Committee the U.S. has no evidence that Ukraine has pursued bioweapons and that the only assistance provided by the U.S. was “in the context of biosafety.”
“The ‘biolabs’ are serving as a false justification for why Russia invaded Ukraine. It’s defensive,” said Clint Watts, an MSNBC contributor who is a senior fellow at the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security at George Washington University. “They create a situation where they go to a populist audience, push out talking points, get the audience primed and make it true later.”
Gavin Wilde, a managing consultant at the Krebs Stamos Group, a security consulting company, who previously was director for Russia, Baltic, and Caucasus affairs on the White House National Security Council, said the theories appeared to focus on the U.S. Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, which was created to decommission Soviet-era chemical and biological weapons.
He said the program “has long provided fodder for Russian propaganda campaigns” and can be particularly effective on Russian residents.
“In a media environment almost completely dominated by Kremlin narratives — with few independent or Western outlets remaining — creating a pretext for escalation that the Russian public will accede to using these well-worn narratives is an easy task,” Wilde said.
The “biolabs” conspiracy theories were almost unheard of until the day of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.
Pyrra Technologies, a cybersecurity and threat intelligence company, said the first mention of biolabs came on the far-right social network Gab on Feb. 14, 10 days before the invasion. The user included an awkwardly worded graphic, titled “Exclusive US biolabs in Ukraine, and they are financed at the expense of the US Department of Defense.”
The post largely sat idle for days. Welton Chang, the CEO of Pyrra, said posts about biolabs on the top 15 far-right social networks numbered in the single digits in the days before Russia’s invasion. But on Feb. 24, the day Russia began its invasion, the number of posts about biolabs on English-language far-right websites skyrocketed into the hundreds and only grew in the days after.
Boosted by far-right influencers on the day of the invasion, an anonymous QAnon Twitter account titled @WarClandestine pushed the “biolabs” theory to new heights, using the same “US biolabs” graphic initially included on the Gab post that went largely unshared the week before.
Twitter said the account and others that pushed the biolabs theory were banned for “multiple violations of our abusive behavior policy.”
The biolab conspiracy theory has taken over as the prevailing narrative on pro-Trump and QAnon websites like The Great Awakening and Patriots.Win.

Looks like NBC has gotten in on the Biolabs. And would you look at that juicy headline 😂 they just smashed all the buzzwords into a line with zero structure. They at least took the time to give me credit, while simultaneously smearing me, and labeling me “Qanon” “conspiracy theory” and “far right”. Let’s look at how this article is completely asinine.
-I have never once have quoted Q or referenced a drop. All the information came from the US Embassy, the UN, and a Newsweek article.
-What about my discovery is theory? Our State Dept confirmed it, I have all of the official supported documentation from the US Embassy and our Biological Thread Reduction Program, and the UN Security Council just held an emergency meeting to assess the situation. Which resulted in Russia, China, India, Brazil, Mexico, and Gabon; representing 3.2 BILLION people, asked for an investigation into the US breaching of Article 1 of the Biological Weapons Convention. It was all on video. We saw the whole thing. THATS NOT A CONSPIRACY THEORY 😂
-How is this “Russian Disinformation?”. I didn’t get it from Russia, I got it from the US Embassy page. You idiots can’t slap this word onto things you don’t want us to talk about. That’s not how it works.
-I’m also a Libertarian. I am not “far right”. I’m a registered Independent. All I want is as little government as possible, the upholding of the Constitution, for everyone to leave me the hell alone, and to not be subject to biological warfare from my own government or any other government. Not sure how that makes me “far right”.
So sure NBC; keep defaming me, smearing me, spreading disinformation, and writing about me without permission or reaching out for comment. I’ll add your happy asses to the list of people who will owe me lots and lots of money when all the dust settles. I’ll be cashing that Nick Sandman sized check from you all soon enough.
Brrr John... What a "pleasant" individual. I have no problem at all with fatness, baldness or tattoos, but the fireside flames provided by an iMac is too much for me to take his bundle of non-sequiturs seriously.
I happen to know, in the original, the works of René Guénon (not "Gwennon" but more like "gaynon", actuallly) quite well, and those of Julius Evola pretty well. What this gentleman says about Guénon is nonsense, and about Evola is superficial. If the readers of this forum want to know something more about these people (Guénon is to be recommended) let them just look up the Wikipedia articles.
Also what is being said about Aleksandr Dugin needs a lot of qualification. From the Wikipedia article it can be inferred that Dugin‘s influence on Vladimir Putin’s policies is limited.
Pass THIS around...........

BesogonTV - Ukraine (English Subtitles)
To fully understand the genesis of the current situation in Ukraine, how the rise of Neo-Nazism came to be and how the far-right Russophobic ideology and groups gained power over a brotherly nation one must take a retrospect view.
Someone from Serbia has said of the Donetsk attack:
The DNR authorities had claimed 15 intercepted Tocka U missles...
and the damaging one was basically a late hit, which was unusually destructive because of the clusters. Unfortunately you did not get 100% protection there. If this, single, or, any of those possible others had gone through, well, you know.
Meanwhile, here are a few remarks from an ethnic Greek exclave of 120,000+ persons near Mauriopol:
The Greeks of Sartana responded: “Nobody kills anyone here. The Russians do not kill anyone.”
“No one is shooting at civilians here.
“As soon as the Russians came here, they immediately brought us help. Right now, immediately after the shootings stopped.
or:
She also explained that they had been hiding in the basement for two weeks and that when the Russians arrived they did not bother them and only brought food.
The Mariupol-based Azov Battalion, a neo-Nazi unit of the Ukrainian Republican Guard, which falls under the command of the Interior Ministry, was based in Mariupol and discriminated, persecuted and tortured non-Ukrainian speakers, including Greeks.
Only days before Russian troops started crossing into Ukraine, the Azov Battalion killed an ethnic Greek and shot another two only for speaking Russian.
Here is a tweet of about thirty seconds of CCTV in Erbil. The Russian systems did not deflect these missiles at all. That looks to be too bad for anyone who was at home here, it was a villa. These are some very well-to-do spies! I wish someone could have just seized the place, and, given it to me. That is not happening right now because the state of affairs is such that the Kurds have mostly sold themselves to the Zionists, and meanwhile, there are also thousands of Turkish operatives. The province is utterly factionalized and not really considered to be in Iraqi control.
Irony of ironies, the Iranians say that Sweden is the modern headquarters of Mojahedin-e Khalq or MOK. Perhaps they can also give you a local update for:
Based on the document, it was discovered that between 2019 and 2021, the same smuggling gang attempted to transfer some 400 members of MKO from Albania to France.
Because:
In 2012, the US State Department removed the MKO from its list of designated terrorist organizations under intense lobbying by groups associated to Saudi regime and other regimes adversarial to Iran.
A few years ago, MKO members were relocated from their Camp Ashraf in Iraq’s Diyala Province to Camp Hurriyet (Camp Liberty), a former US military base in Baghdad, and were later sent to Albania.
Those members, who have managed to escape, have revealed MKO's scandalous means of access to money, almost exclusively coming from Riyadh.

Paper gold is not as highly ranked as actual gold during the event of an apocalypse.
India found it surprising that U. S. firms caused an internet blackout of Russian sources without any order from the Indian government:
"The EU is not at war with Russia, yet it doesn't want Europeans to hear or read Russian media perspectives. In contrast India has been involved in a Chinese border aggression which has lasted nearly two years without blocking China's state media. If anything, Indian media liberally quotes Chinese media reports," Chellaney said.
For the earlier attack, these copies indicate that the Russians did not actually defend this, it was DPR anti-air:
...according to Donetsk speakperson Basurin or Pushilin – 16 Ballistic missiles, Tochka-U, were shot at Donetsk by the Ukro-nazis this is a major provocation ordered by Kiev directly.
All missiles were intercepted, including the one which fell on Donetsk killing 20 something and injury another two dozens of people. Its fragmentation warhead didn’t explode as planned at about 2,500 m / 7,500 feet...
The shelling of Donetsk “Tochka-U” was carried out by Ukrainian nationalists of the 19th rocket brigade from the vicinity of Krasnoarmeysk, 60 to 65 km. It is said in the statement of the people’s militia of the DPR.
Russians are not "right there" and so there is no way that they can intercept a relatively short-range missile from outside of the area. And so if truly a cluster warhead, it would not have sprayed shrapnel fragments at 2500m altitude, it would have been twenty or more baby bombs, which, in terms of momentum, and destruction, and so forth, I am not in a mood to measure the difference. Let's just guess about twenty times worse than what we see.
Would anyone take seriously the notion that this could even be an attempt at a false flag?
On the other side, when you fail to defend against Russian missiles which possibly came from the Caspian Sea, there is an interesting reply about the "merc pipe" in the UK:
There were also several videos being circulated showing a large number of British citizens travelling to Ukraine prior to the Russian attack. they were all boasting (and bloating) that they were “combet experienced ex forces” with experience with Milan, HAW, and LAW, and even NLAW. Interestingly, one of the ex-soldiers said that he was travelling to Ukraine to stop the Russians from “raping and killing Ukrainian girls and Women”. This made me wonder about the level of lies and propaganda being fed to these people, because in the videos they clearly were not “Nazis”, but they really did believe they were on the side of right fighting the evil Russians who had invaded Ukraine for quote, “no reason”.
From what I understand, 70% of Brazil is in a comedic uproar about their "survivor". I doubt it would occur to them that missiles landing Downtown, DPR would perhaps have been launched by desperate Russian forces. Someone may have already quoted this, but, this is apparently their laughingstock:
Shooting instructor Tiago Rossi, from Maringá, Paraná, went to Ukraine to “fight” in the war between the country and Russia, but said in a video that he had to flee after Russian planes attacked members of the International Legion for the Defense of the Territory of Ukraine, formed by volunteers from several countries. In the images, the Brazilian shooter says he had to flee to survive: “I had no idea what a war was.”
According to Rossi, those who managed to get out of the base before the attack survived. “There were special forces soldiers from all over the world. The information we have is that everyone died. They [Russians] ended it all. You don’t understand, it’s over, it’s over. The Legion was wiped out in one fell swoop. I had no idea what a war was,” he says.
Well, they may have a lack of readily-available expertise to operate NATO weapons in a non-NATO country, but is it really over? It, what, one legion? Yes! That's all. There's always tomorrow, which is already today, by my time delay factor. There are no traffic jams in the "inbound" lanes! Everything there still flows pretty smoothly. You can import anything from camembert to kitchen sinks. Not really a problem, and, chances are, it never will be much difficulty to send something from Poland to Lviv. I hate Lent but I love Paczkis! So I know that the Polish people, themselves, are not an insipid waste of flesh with nothing to offer. I would suggest sticking to food and crafts, and not hiring yourselves out as a third-party mule to someone who doesn't know a lick of Polish.
Efforts to replace the dollar between several countries actually move faster than the Russian Army in Spring. You can get a Rupee to Ruble line without hardly any difficulty! Meanwhile, the reliable Stooge of Saud is actually going to build new Aramco facilities in China to process Russian crude. Win Win! That is old and there is supposed to be a third "win", now, but I get tired of saying it. Did Venezuela come off of some of its "Texas tea"? Don't we have to drain Alberta through the Dakotas now?
Iran is simply going to put up over half a million solar units, and, it is hard to think of a better place to do that. They can mostly just be made from sand. Why wouldn't you? There is always the risk of someone accusing you of a "secret solar program", and then the consequences would be almost exactly like what we already have. It would just be a different way to whine about it!
Today seems like another missed opportunity.
There are limited possibilities. One choice is that they could be there to De-Militarize Ukraine. As far as we know, the Armed Forces are working on this, and, this is an example of how they view "progress":
During the night of March 14, 4 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, including иBayraktar TB-2, were shot down by aviation and air defence of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
✈️💥Operational-tactical, army and unmanned aviation hit 46 military infrastructure assets of Ukraine, including: 2 command posts, 1 Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system, 1 guidance and target designation radar station, 2 MLRS, 2 electronic warfare stations, 2 ammunition and fuel depots, 31 areas of military equipment concentration.
💥In total, during the operation, 3,920 objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine were disabled.
💥Destroyed: 143 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,267 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 124 multiple launch rocket systems, 457 field artillery and mortars, as well as 1,028 units of special military vehicles.
And reminders about "obstacles", even if it did not directly affect them:
The use of such weapons on a town with no armed forces firing positions, i.e. deliberately targeting civilians, is a war crime.
▪️ The armament of Tochka-U missile’ warhead with cluster ammunition proves that the purpose of the nationalists’ strike on the city was to kill as many civilians as possible.
So, if the National Guard, which has already been known to secure nuclear facilities, makes a beeline for the Tochka launching site, I would say maybe they are participating in this mission, but this seems extremely unlikely, since the Armed Forces already have everything they need.
Therefor they must be up to something which may be slightly unknown to us which is called De-Nazify Ukraine. Does this match in some way their own mission capabilities?
The National Guard has the stated mission of securing Russia's borders, taking charge of gun control, combating terrorism and organized crime, protecting public order and guarding important state facilities.
Once the decision is made that "securing the borders" can take place outside of them, then, yes. They can combat terrorism, which means they will show us what De-Nazify Ukraine looks like.
It does not sound to me like they have an "extraction" role, but, greater leeway for urban combat. Curfew starting in Kiev today and restricted movement. There is no reason to think it will not be attacked at all, just reason to think that it won't just be heavy bombardment all over the place. One column might be able to attack/defend one highway, so, it may be for "traffic control" to a city that--I am on the side of hoping does not get demolished.

In his first public appearance since the start of the Ukraine war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is said to have visited a hospital. Meanwhile, Ukrainian MP Ilya Kiva claimed that the video showing Zelensky in the hospital showed a nurse who is said to have died last month. Was this staging of the hospital visit a fraud and was it recorded much earlier?
Ilya Kiva is a member of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament. He has claimed that video released by Zelensky on Sunday shows a nurse at a hospital who is said to have died last month .
- Is Zelensky video a fake?
https://www.wochenblick.at/wp-conten...nitaeterin.jpg
Military medic Inna Derusova, who allegedly passed away on February 26.
Earlier, a video was posted on Zelensky's Telegram channel , in which Zelensky visited Ukrainian soldiers in the hospital and presented them with awards. The location of the hospital was not disclosed . The soldiers being treated in hospital are said to have been injured in the fighting in the Kyiv region.
"The video shows a nurse who is not alive but pretends he (Zelensky) is brave and in Kiev," Kiva wrote on his Telegram channel. According to the deputy, military medic Inna Derusova died on February 26. To confirm this, Kiva included a message said to have come from an acquaintance of the nurse. "The latest video only reinforces the doubts that Zelensky is in Kyiv, instead of refuting them!" MP Kiva added.
- Doubt that Zelensky is in Kyiv
Here is the message from Kiva on Telegram:
The information provided by the Ukrainian MP cannot be verified without a doubt. In some articles one only finds a reference to the fact that Selenski awarded the paramedic a badge of honor for risking her life . The way she can be seen walking next to Selenski in the video raises legitimate doubts about the authenticity or the date of the recording. The date of death is not given anywhere except by MP Kiva.
- When was the video actually recorded?

- Fake report: kindergarten under fire a false flag operation by the Ukrainian army?
Images of a kindergarten in Luhansk, Ukraine, which was allegedly shot at, hit the media last week. The kindergarten is said to have been shot at by the people's militias of the Donbass republics. But as the German Alina Lipp , who has been living in Ukraine since spring 2021, reports in a video, some things in this depiction are probably not quite right. She is even reminded of Colin Powell's lie, which led to the Gulf War, that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. The current US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, held a picture of the alleged bullet hole in front of the cameras, just like Powell did at the time with a bottle containing an alleged warfare agent.
According to Lipp, who has been living in Donetsk in the Donbass for four months and reports on the situation in the residential areas near the front in her Telegram channel , the truth is that the kindergarten, which was previously damaged by the Ukrainian side, is now being repaired from this very side used to blame the pro-Russian Donbass People's Militias .
https://www.wochenblick.at/wp-conten...ergarten-1.jpg
Impact hole in the wall of the kindergarten
So it seems to be a so-called false flag attack . According to Lipp, this kindergarten is not in the Luhansk People's Republic at all, but in the part of the Donbass controlled by Ukraine. He is around 8 km away from the contact line and therefore out of range of mines from the Donbass republics, she explains.
- False flag attack?
https://www.wochenblick.at/wp-conten.../Luganks04.jpg
She draws on her personal experiences and points to some inconsistencies in the media portrayal. Lipp explains that the windows around the point of impact should have burst . However, these are mostly intact . Typical traces of soot were also missing on the outside and inside of the wall. Lipp also finds it striking that there are no parts of the wall lying around outside the impact site. Some examples of such impact holes are shown in the video for clarification:
- Impacts look different
Lipp also states that experts also examined the impact angle and came to the conclusion that shooting down from the Donbass region east of the kindergarten would not have been possible because there were too many buildings in the way .
Lipp: “The West simply wants this war – at any price”
According to Lipp, Ukrainian troops have been shooting at kindergartens and schools for eight years . They didn't even pay attention to whether the children were about to go home. The US Secretary of State and the media would not make that an issue. The Western world would not be interested in the fact that "so many ordinary citizens are shot by snipers (snipers)." Children are often among the victims , she explains and fades in the video to a picture of a children's monument in Donetsk.
https://www.wochenblick.at/wp-conten.../Lugansk05.jpg
“The West simply wants this war – at any price ,” she sums up. Just look for a reason for war.
In her Telegram channel, Lipp compares a press conference by US Secretary of State Blinken with the appearance of then Secretary of State Colin Powell before the UN Security Council , when he (unfortunately) successfully tried to make it clear to the world that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Just as Powell held a bottle up to the camera at the time, Blinken showed a picture of the nursery with the hole in the wall.

As reported by the Anti-Spiegel, Blinken had also announced a chemical attack by the “bad Russians”. According to the report, however, a corresponding false flag operation by the Ukrainian army could be prevented.

- Tulsi Gabbard Ruins Mitt Romney's Treason Accusations with Fact:
Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” talks about Mitt Romney calling Tulsi Gabbard treasonous, Tucker Carlson discussing Ukraine biolabs, Whoopi Goldberg calling for prison time for Russian assets, and Joe Biden blaming Putin for everything. First, Dave explains the recent Tulsi Gabbard, Mitt Romney controversy concerning US biolabs in Ukraine. Victoria Nuland may have proven Tulsi right in her recent testimony with Marco Rubio where she acknowledged that the US was trying to keep biolabs in Ukraine from being confiscated by Russia and used for chemical weapons. Tucker also responded to Mitt Romney’s accusations. The ladies of “The View” aren’t waiting around for any more clarity on this issue. They see anyone like Tucker Carlson and Tulsi Gabbard talking about Ukraine biolabs, as spreading Russian propaganda. Whoopi Goldberg reminds everyone that we used to put people in prison for treason. It’s not just “The View” making treason accusations. Keith Olbermann and Rep. Adam Kinzinger joined in the accusations as well. Finally, Joe Biden wants to blame high gas prices on Putin at the same time that politicians like him and Rep. Adam Kinzinger are pushing for sanctions against Russian oil which they acknowledge will drive up oil prices and hurt Americans already suffering from inflation.
