Ukrainian politician names those behind Odessa tragedy in interview with TASS
Viktor Medvedchuk pointed out that in a premeditated act of intimidation, the Kiev regime led by then acting Ukrainian President Alexander Turchinov burned people alive inside Odessa’s Trade Union House
MOSCOW, May 2. /TASS/. Viktor Medvedchuk, former leader of the Opposition Platform-For Life party who now leads the Other Ukraine movement, has exposed who was behind the May 2, 2014, tragedy in Odessa in an exclusive interview with TASS.
Medvedchuk pointed out that in a premeditated act of intimidation, the Kiev regime led by then acting Ukrainian President Alexander Turchinov burned people alive inside Odessa’s Trade Union House. "Ten days before the tragedy, Turchinov chaired a meeting on preparations for the mass murder of coup opponents in Odessa. [Then] Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, Security Service of Ukraine chief Valentin Nalivaichenko and National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andrey Parubiy took part in the discussions. The consultations on the operation also involved Igor Kolomoisky, head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration," he specified.
From the very start, they decided to carry out the operation on May 2, when a football match was set to take place in Odessa, which is why numerous members of fan groups and some 500 radicals from the Right Sector organization (outlawed in Russia) had arrived in the city. Medvedchuk noted that transportation had been provided to the perpetrators by Avakov, Parubiy, Kolomoisky and his henchman "Igor Palitsha, who led the operation on the ground and was appointed as Odessa Region governor for its ‘success’ on May 6, 2014."
Medvedchuk said that the criminal group’s actions were steered by outside forces who still rule Ukraine, "preventing the Ukrainian conflict from abating because they are vitally interested in it."
Those who organized, led and participated in the operation to burn people alive on May 2, 2014, must be brought to justice in Odessa, the politician added.
Odessa Trade Union House fire
On May 2, 2014, radicals from the Right Sector organization (outlawed in Russia) and the so-called Maidan self-defense forces attacked a tent encampment at Odessa’s Kulikovo Field public park, where city residents had been gathering signatures for a referendum on the federalization of Ukraine and granting Russian official language status. Some supporters of federalization took refuge inside the nearby Trade Union House but the radicals surrounded the building and set it on fire. According to official data from the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, 48 people died and more than 240 others were injured in the tragic events of that day.
The authorities blamed the unrest entirely on "anti-Maidan" activists. However, the investigation, which lasted several years, was unable to prove their guilt in court. As a result, all those initially detained were ultimately acquitted.

Russia not depending on foreign gas turbines anymore — Rostec
"Two plants were constructed in Crimea and one in the Taman Peninsula - the Udarnaya, which we will launch in full as early as in this year," Sergey Chemezov noted
MOSCOW, May 3. /TASS/. Russia has overcome the dependence on high-capacity gas turbines of the foreign make, CEO of the Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov said at the meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"We are installing it [the GTD-110M high-capacity turbine - TASS] at our Udarnaya plant that is under construction at the Taman Peninsula. This is the first serially made turbine. Now we are confident that we can become independent," Chemezov said. "We can break up now with Siemens, and with General Electric. We built three plants - this is the third one. Two plants were constructed in Crimea and one in the Taman Peninsula - the Udarnaya, which we will launch in full as early as in this year," the chief executive noted.
Development of the GTD-110M high-capacity turbine is a very important milestone, the Prime Minister said. "I know the corporation was working for a long time on that, to create analogs of Western turbines," Mishustin stressed.

It is planned to erect defensive fortifications, various obstacles and prepare the territory for ammunition depots. The first line of defence will be built 1 km from the border with Russia, not far from the "Terekhovo" checkpoint.
Earlier, Lithuania and Estonia also decided to build a "defence line". The latter still intends to build 600 bunkers.

Russian diplomat sees Kiev preparing for new attack on Crimean Bridge with Western support
According to Maria Zakharova, ahead of Victory Day celebrations in Russia, "the Kiev regime and its Western patrons are plotting new terror attacks on Russian soil," while aiming for the news to "reverberate in the media and have a propaganda effect"
MOSCOW, May 3. /TASS/. Kiev is overtly making preparations for another attack on the Crimean Bridge with support from the West, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing.
"Today, ahead of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Crimea, <...> the Crimean Bridge is being targeted again. It’s hard to believe but preparations for another attack on it are being made openly now <…> with direct and blatant support from the collective West," the Russian diplomat said.
According to Zakharova, ahead of Victory Day celebrations in Russia, "the Kiev regime and its Western patrons are plotting new terror attacks on Russian soil," while aiming for the news to "reverberate in the media and have a propaganda effect."
"It is exactly for these purposes on this day a year ago, on May 3, that they attempted to carry out a drone attack on the Moscow Kremlin," she recounted.

▪️The American mercenary explained that most of the military training in the United States is focused on guerrilla warfare.
We've lost sight of much of the training in how to fight and survive in war against peer opponents, he says.
▪️By focusing on wars in the Middle East, the United States and its NATO allies have allowed the skills necessary for real large-scale conflicts to atrophy.

Or it may be that the collective west supporting Ukraine with defective weaponry is in fact simply to prolong this war as much as possible, specifically to ensure that as many Ukrainians as possible die or flee the country. They have designs on Ukraine, and there is a curious synchronicity between the conflict in Ukraine and the one in Gaza.
Here's a video that provides the best explanation on this point. It has already been posted in the Israel vs Gaza thread couple of weeks ago, but it also belongs here, as Ukraine is just as much part of the deep state war agaisnt the BRICS. Highly recommend it.
The Hidden Reasons Behind the War on Gaza
https://youtube.com/watch?v=JTuGZ2MdKpU
"(Published Oct. 27, 2023) | Richard Medhurst, independent journalist from the United Kingdom, presents his geopolitical analysis in this viral video exposing the hidden reasons behind the US and Israel's war on Gaza.
1. Control of the large quantities of gas in the mediterrenean sea through sanctions on Iran (withdrawal from nuclear deal), Russia (Ukraine war), and crippling Lebanon, Syria, and now Gaza's, infrastructure. Conveniently, this leaves only Israel able to extract the gas in the Leviathan gas field, necessary to deliver on its gas deal with the European Union following the outbreak of the Ukraine war.
2. Countering BRICS, China, and the New Silk Road. Shortly before the war in Gaza began, Netanyahu had announced his "plan for a New Middle East" establishing a rival trade route from India, to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and into Occupied Palestine and Europe."
Brilliant, excellent, correct – and beyond cognitive: replete with the passion necessary to fight!

Extracted from Simplicius' latest gem: RUSI Report Quietly Validates Russia's Strategic Superiority: A Breakdown
-------------------------------------
As reminder, RUSI is the Royal United Services Institute, and claims to be “the world’s oldest and the UK’s leading defence and security think tank.” And not to be confused with a prominent Russian politician of the same name serving in the Duma, the article’s author Alex Vershinin’s credentials are listed....
The entire report revolves around an urgent plea for the West to remold its strategic concept of warfare, which has been badly degraded and fallen out with the times by several decades of lazy misallocation of resources and reorientation toward colonial policing actions.
In the following paragraph, the author defines precisely the difference between ‘maneuver’ wars and classic attritional wars, which is relevant in understanding the rest of the exegesis:
Attritional wars require their own ‘Art of War’ and are fought with a ‘force-centric’ approach, unlike wars of manoeuvre which are ‘terrain-focused’. They are rooted in massive industrial capacity to enable the replacement of losses, geographical depth to absorb a series of defeats, and technological conditions that prevent rapid ground movement. In attritional wars, military operations are shaped by a state’s ability to replace losses and generate new formations, not tactical and operational manoeuvres. The side that accepts the attritional nature of war and focuses on destroying enemy forces rather than gaining terrain is most likely to win.
In particular, re-read the last statement:
The side that accepts the attritional nature of war and focuses on destroying enemy forces rather than gaining terrain is most likely to win
This appears a major admission of Russia’s strategy. After all, recall how Ukraine’s strategy famously centers on “not one step back”, because even a single lost yard represents unbearable reputational costs for Zelensky’s much-admired ‘international community’. This has led to generals like Syrsky being dubbed “General 200” for his no step back attitude in prosecuting defenses like that of Bakhmut and Avdeevka, among others.
Russia on the other hand has notably used strategic retreat to such a vast extent it has left the military commentariat perplexed, as in the case of the large-scale back-to-back Kherson and Kharkov region withdrawals, not to mention the late March 2022 rerouting action from the entire north of the Kiev, Sumy, and Chernigov regions.
What this amounts to is the bitter admission that Russia has in fact been ahead of the mark all this while. Despite full-throated attempts to disparage Russia’s military choices throughout the course of the war, it has only now in retrospect become obvious to ‘experts’ that Russia has in fact been utilizing the superior common sense strategy all along, while waging the correct war.
What has it amounted to? It’s clear to see: just read the headlines. For Russia, the headlines talk incessantly of an “over abundance” of manpower and materiel. In the case of Ukraine, it’s the total opposite, the total lack of men. One side has competently pursued the strategy outlined by RUSI above: “The side that accepts the attritional nature of war and focuses on destroying enemy forces rather than gaining terrain is most likely to win.”
I’ve said since the beginning that most of Russia’s objectives in the war will be reached not by territorial gains but attritional ones. For instance, there’s almost no feasibly realistic way for Russia to “capture” Odessa via kinetic and direct physical assault. Going cross-river is unlikely, and having to come down from the north in Kiev would hypothetically take years. But simply baiting Ukraine to throw in all its blood and treasure into the Donbass killbox and meatgrinder, Russia stands to attrit the AFU both militarily, materially, economically, and morally to the point of exhaustion and collapse, allowing the subsequent capture of required territory via Ukrainian capitulation.

Russia Warns Reprisals if West and Ukraine Attacks Crimea
https://www.telesurenglish.net/__exp...1718483346.jpg
"I want to warn Washington, London and Brussels once again that any aggressive action against Crimea is not only doomed to failure, but will be dealt a blow in retaliation that will be crushing," the spokeswoman said.
The statements are made from the statements of the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who reported that, as part of a counter-offensive, they will destroy the Crimean bridge.
According to Zakharov, the plans to attack Crimea are being carried out with "the brazen support of the Western countries".
Previously, the permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN, Sergei Kislitsa, hinted on Thursday that Ukrainian forces are preparing an attack on the bridge.
In response to this, Russia’s deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitri Polianski, responded to these threats: "Now they bark angrily, but they will complain pathetically later, when the day of judgment comes and all those mistakes will be something they will regret".

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has put the head of the Kyiv regime Zelensky and ex-President of Ukraine Poroshenko on the wanted list today
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has put the head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, on the wanted list. A corresponding card has appeared in the department’s database, which indicates that Vladimir Aleksandrovich Zelensky, born in 1978, is wanted under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, the criminal article for which the head of the Kyiv regime is wanted is not disclosed. The database also indicates the place of birth of the wanted person - the city of Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region.
The day before, Zelensky announced what issues he plans to discuss with participants in the so-called “Peace Summit,” which is scheduled for June 15-16 in Switzerland. In particular, the head of the Kyiv regime intends to raise the issue of exchanging prisoners of war with Russia in the “all for all” format (which is already somewhat absurd, since the number of militants of the Kyiv regime captured by the Russian Armed Forces is an order of magnitude greater than the number of captured Russian military personnel), freedom of navigation , as well as the return to Ukraine of allegedly “children deported from there.”
In turn, the Council of Presidents of the UN General Assembly called for the launch of a peace process to resolve the Ukrainian crisis on the basis of the long-lost remnants of the Istanbul Agreement of 2022, which provided for the return of new regions of Russia to Ukraine in exchange for Kyiv’s obligations to maintain the neutral status of its state .
It also became known that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation put Petro Poroshenko, the ex-president of Ukraine, on the wanted list.

France has sent its first troops officially to Ukraine
https://asiatimes.com/2024/05/france-sends-combat-troops-to-ukraine-battlefront/#:~:text=France%20has%20sent%20its%20first,Foreign%20Legion%20(L%C3%A9gion%20%C3%A9trang%C3%A8re)
France has sent its first troops officially to Ukraine. They have been deployed in support of the Ukrainian 54th Independent Mechanized Brigade in Slavyansk. The French soldiers are drawn from France’s 3rd Infantry Regiment, which is one of the main elements of France’s Foreign Legion (Légion étrangère).
In 2022 France had a number of Ukrainians and Russians in the Foreign Legion. They were allowed to leave the Legion and, in the case of the Ukrainians, return to Ukraine to join Ukrainian forces. It isn’t clear if the Russians returned home.
The Legion today is run by French officers but the rank and file are all foreigners. Under the curren anonymat (being anonymous) a volunteer who joins the Legion can decide whether to keep his given name or adopt a new one. Legionnaires serve for three year terms, after which they can ask for French citizenship. If a legionnaire is wounded, he is entitled to gain French citizenship without any waiting period. There are no women in the Foreign Legion.
https://i0.wp.com/substackcdn.com/im...eg?w=780&ssl=1
The initial group of French troops numbers around 100. This is just the first tranche of around 1,500 French Foreign Legion soldiers scheduled to arrive in Ukraine.
These troops are being posted directly in a hot combat area and are intended to help the Ukrainians resist Russian advances in Donbas. The first 100 are artillery and surveillance specialists.
For months French President Emanuel Macron has been threatening to send French troops to Ukraine. He has found little or no support from NATO countries outside of support from Poland and the Baltic States. Allegedly the US opposes sending NATO soldiers to Ukraine (other than as advisors).
One of the questions to immediately arise from France’s decision to send soldiers from its 3rd Infantry Regiment is whether this crosses the Russian red line on NATO involvement in Ukraine? Will the Russians see this as initiating a wider war beyond Ukraine’s borders?
France itself does not have many troops to put on Ukraine’s battlelines, should the French government want to do so. According to reports, today France cannot support an overseas deployment of a full division and won’t have this capability until 2027 at the earliest.
The decision to send Foreign Legionnaires is, itself, a peculiar French compromise. France is not deploying its home army and, besides the small number of officers, the men sent are not French citizens.
France’s decision has two meanings, beyond the obvious one of potentially triggering a pan-European war.
First of all, it allows Macron to send troops to Ukraine and act like a tough guy without encountering much home opposition. That’s because no French army soldiers are being sent and there is no consequent conscription or other measures in the offing. This clearly reduces the potential fury of Macron’s political opponents.
The second reason is Macron’s anger at seeing French troops, almost all from the Legion, getting kicked out of Sahelian Africa and replaced by Russians. Control of Francophone Africa, and the riches it provides to French politicians, has been broken by the revolt and revolution in Africa and a decisive tilt to Russia – either directly or through PMC Wagner (the Wagner Group). now clearly under Vladimir Putin’s direct control.
This “humiliation” is felt in the Élysée Palace and particularly by Macron who, his opponents say, has lost France’s influence and harmed France’s overseas mining and business interests.
A particular blow is in Niger, an important supplier of uranium to France. France gets 70 percent of its electrical power from nuclear power generators. Global uranium supplies are tightening and prices rising. With Russia and Kazakhstan, along with Niger, on the top of the heap in terms of supplying uranium for nuclear reactors, France has a home economic security problem. The US decision to ban Russian uranium (but probably not realistically, in the next few years) the Russians could deal a serious blow to France and the United States by cutting off supplies.

Re: WW3? Ukraine/US vs. Donbass/Russia
Quite some pessimism in this summary of European war preps from Mr Roeper. I hope he is still not entirely right.
https://anti--spiegel-ru.translate.g..._x_tr_pto=wapp
How the public and military in the West are being prepared for an imminent entry into war
Kiev is losing the war, and quite soon. Therefore, European states will now send regular armed forces to fight against Russia in Ukraine on their own, not as official NATO members. The question is no longer if, but when.
from Anti-Spiegel
May 5, 2024 7:24 p.m
The creed in the West is clear. All Western politicians announce in unison that Ukraine must not lose the war, that Russia must suffer a strategic defeat, and even that Russia must lose the war. Politicians in the West are now arming themselves rhetorically without any restraint, as we will soon see.
The EU states have put themselves in a quandary
However, there is a catch, as I explained in detail in the last Tacheles broadcast : You cannot defeat a nuclear power militarily, because if Russia really loses and suffers a strategic defeat, that could endanger the existence of the state of Russia itself in this case, Russia would use nuclear weapons as a last resort.
And not because Russia is so evil, but simply because any nuclear power would act like that. It doesn't matter whether we are talking about the USA, France, Great Britain, Israel, China or Russia.
The idea of trying to defeat Russia militarily is therefore pure suicide, because even if it were successful, it would also mean the ultimate end for the victors. However, the (publicly dangerous) clowns who are currently allowed to play government in the EU and most EU member states do not seem to understand this, because they are forcing the further escalation of the war verbally and with their weapons and financial aid.
The question therefore arises as to how European politicians will deal with it if the Ukrainian front collapses in the near future. After Federal Smurf Scholz proudly announces at every opportunity that he has already sent almost 30 billion euros to Ukraine, if Ukraine loses, he can hardly stand in front of the German public and declare: “Sorry, it didn't work, that's it Ukraine."
The same applies to almost all other European politicians who have put themselves in a bind with their war rhetoric, because if Russia wins on the battlefield, they will not be able to explain to their voters tomorrow that all the billions were pointlessly thrown out the window and that Inflation and loss of prosperity in Europe were also for nothing. They have put themselves in the dilemma of having to prevent the Russian victory in their own interest (not in the interest of their countries or citizens!).
And since Kiev is known to be running out of soldiers, the only option left for European politicians is to send their own soldiers to Ukraine. They no longer have any other option, because what use are all the beautiful Western cannons and rockets if there are no more soldiers in Ukraine who can fire them?
And both the European soldiers and the European public are currently being systematically prepared for the fact that regular European soldiers will soon appear on the front in Ukraine. Let's take a closer look at how this has been done for weeks.
The political preparations
French President Macron gave the starting signal when he no longer wanted to rule out sending European soldiers to Ukraine at the end of February . Afterwards there were a number of other such explanations, of which I cannot show all of them here, but will only show a few examples.
Estonian Prime Minister Kallas loved Macron's proposal and said on February 29 that it was "good that we are discussing all options . " Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski stated at the beginning of March that NATO soldiers were already deployed in Ukraine and that some NATO countries had already sent soldiers to Ukraine:
“NATO troops are already present in Ukraine. And I would like to sincerely thank the representatives of these countries for taking this risk.”
At the beginning of March, France hastily began to have the French army conduct maneuvers in realistic conditions , simulating a high-intensity conflict with an enemy that is not inferior in firepower. It is obvious that this means Russia.
On March 15, the Latvian president said he supported Macron, adding that Europeans should not set red lines when supporting Ukraine. On the same day, the Finnish Foreign Minister echoed the same sentiments and declared that nothing should be ruled out in the “long term,” including the sending of ground troops to Ukraine.
Influential Ukrainian MP Alexei Goncharenko said on March 20, while taking part in the work of a PACE committee in France, that the French government was considering sending a European military mission to the Ukrainian regions bordering Belarus to attack the Ukrainians stationed there to release troops to fight against Russia.
The fact that German war drummers like Defense Minister Pistorius are now saying every day that the Bundeswehr and German society must become “ready for war” against Russia is also reminiscent of formulations by German politicians from the 30s and 40s of the last century, without this disturbing the German media.
As I said, these were just examples; the list could be continued for a long time.
The media preparations
De facto, NATO is already at war with Russia. The Western public is now gradually being prepared for this, even if German media are much more fearful than media in other Western countries because, despite all efforts, it has still not been possible to erase from the collective memory of Germans the memory of how bad and A war against Russia is hopeless. The fact that NATO is already at war with Russia would be extremely unpopular in Germany and, even with the best will in the world, enthusiasm for war cannot be aroused in Germany, so the German media simply hides the unpleasant truth.
Others are less shy. For example, CNN reported on April 2 that Western countries were helping Ukraine plan drone strikes on targets in Russia. At that time, the drone attacks on the Russian oil industry were taking place. CNN quoted a Ukrainian source as saying:
“These flights are determined in advance with our allies, the aircraft follow the flight plan that allows us to hit targets with an accuracy of several meters.”
A day later, on April 3, the Guardian reported in detail about Kiev's plans to attack the Crimean bridge again. It wasn't in the article, but Kiev has no means of attacking the bridge without help from the West. This would require missiles with a longer range, such as the German Taurus. And we have known that the Bundeswehr had planned such an attack scenario since the leaked phone call from the leadership of the German Air Force.
British Storm Shadow or French Sculp cruise missiles are unable to do this because they are fired from aircraft. Since these missiles only have a range of 300 kilometers, the aircraft would have to fly too close to the Russian air defenses. The Taurus has a range of 500 kilometers and could therefore be fired from aircraft at the Crimean bridge from a safe distance.
An alternative would be US ATACMS missiles with a range of 320 kilometers, which are fired from the ground and whose launch devices can be brought closer to the front than a fighter aircraft with cruise missiles.
Is the simultaneity a coincidence?
Macron did not wake up on the morning of February 27 and spontaneously declare that he was not ruling out sending troops to Ukraine. This had been prepared for a long time and, according to European politicians who oppose it, it was already known behind the scenes that Macron would say this at the EU summit that day. So the idea probably came about in February.
Meanwhile, the USA announced that ATACMS had already been secretly delivered to Ukraine in March. And – note the coincidence of timing – President Biden made the decision to do so in February.
After Macron's statement in March alone, I wrote several articles in which I quoted reports from Western politicians and media, all of whom suddenly announced that regular soldiers from NATO countries were already on one mission or another (including combat missions) in Ukraine are active. I don't want to repeat it all here, but refer you to my articles from February 29th , March 10th and March 20th .
The fact that the presence of NATO soldiers in Ukraine is now suddenly being openly acknowledged in the West, instead of being vehemently denied as before, suggests a coordinated media campaign to accustom the Western public to the idea that Western soldiers are fighting in Ukraine could. I already pointed this out on March 21st .
Interesting statements in April
Western politicians have also worked diligently on this, as I will show with a few more examples. At the beginning of April, the newly elected Finnish President Alexander Stubb declared that there would be no peace negotiations with Russia. The only way to peace leads through the battlefield.
On April 11th there was an interesting report from France. France, which has always tried to play a certain special role in NATO, announced on that day that it was taking operational control of its nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle for the first time as part of a mission in the Mediterranean from April 26th to May 10th will provide NATO.
A day later, a refreshingly honest report came from Brussels. Margaritas Schinas, the deputy head of the EU Commission, said that day that the EU needs Ukraine because of its many mineral resources and large agricultural production:
“We need Ukraine because it is a large country with a lot of mineral resources and large production in the agricultural sector.”
By the way, she was following the EU's chief diplomat Borrell, who, in a fit of honesty, openly stated on CNN at the end of March what was actually going on in Ukraine:
“We cannot allow Russia to win this war. Otherwise, the interests of the USA and Europe would be significantly damaged. It's not a question of generosity. It's not about supporting Ukraine because we love Ukrainians. It’s in our own interest.”
On April 24, the Finnish president upped the ante when he called for more war preparations :
“In my opinion, the rhetoric has become increasingly bellicose in recent years. I think you feel that too. That is clear. Our screens are full of wars in Europe and the Middle East. But this rhetoric easily undermines feelings of security and belief in the future, especially among the younger generation. The best way to avoid war is to talk less and prepare more.”
Of course, everyone has to decide for themselves whether the Finnish president, who categorically rejected peace negotiations with Russia at the beginning of April and called for a decision on the battlefield, is serious about avoiding war. I feel like he's encouraging the public to go to war rather than trying to avoid war.
These were also just examples of how the Western public was consistently sworn to war in April. There are many more, such as the statement by James Heappey , the former Minister of State in the British Ministry of Defense, who on April 12th spoke out in favor of sending British soldiers to Ukraine, but of course for operations far from the front.
This is another salami tactic of Western politics, which wants to explain to the public that it only wants to deploy its soldiers far away from the front. Western politicians and media prefer to keep quiet about the fact that they are also legitimate targets for the Russian army there when they take over tasks from the Ukrainian army in order to free Ukrainian soldiers for the front.
But if Russia then bombs European soldiers, the excitement among Western media and politicians will of course be gigantic.
May: The number of hits increases
As Kiev's situation on the front becomes more and more desperate, statements from the West are becoming clearer and more frequent. The West had always set a red line for itself: attacks with weapons supplied from the West on undisputed Russian territory were not permitted because Russia could see this as open participation in the war by the West, which it would not do - if only because of the pressure that would then arise from the Russian population – would have to react.
On May 2, British Foreign Secretary Cameron crossed this red line when he declared that Ukraine had the right to attack targets in Russia with British weapons. This was followed by a very clear reaction from the Russian Foreign Ministry, which warned of the consequences of such attacks - specifically on the Crimean Bridge.
Macron has also portrayed himself as an agitator again. In an interview with The Economist last week, Macron gave two conditions for sending French troops to Ukraine: "if the Russians break through the front lines" and if there is a "Ukrainian request." The French president also renewed his "strategic goal" of ensuring that Russia does not win in Ukraine, as that would threaten European security.
Dmitry Peskov, the Russian president's spokesman, responded by saying that Macron and Cameron's statements represent a "very dangerous trend" that could threaten security on the continent:
“France, represented by the head of state, constantly talks about the possibility of direct participation on the ground in the conflict over Ukraine. This is a very dangerous trend that we are monitoring closely.”
Given that the Russian army in Donbass appears to have broken through the Ukrainian front (or is at least on the verge of it), Macron's statement must be taken very seriously, because if he were to carry out his threat, French soldiers would already be on the way to the front be Ukraine. It is fitting that an American expert has now written that soldiers from the French Foreign Legion are already on the front in Donbass.
Meanwhile, the Bundeswehr has another glitch to report. At least 6,000 meetings held via Webex were easily discoverable online. You could see the title, time and the inviting person of important meetings. A meeting on April 25 was entitled “Review of the Taurus milestone plan and finalization,” which would mean that the Bundeswehr is moving forward with plans for the delivery and deployment of the Taurus in Ukraine, despite the German Chancellor claiming the opposite is the case and under no circumstances would he deliver the Taurus to Kiev.
On May 5, the Italian newspaper La Repubblica also alerted its readers to a possible war against Russia when it reported on two NATO red lines.
Will the decision on war and peace be made at the end of May?
In this context, I must once again point out an article that I wrote at the end of March. In it I presented the NATO maneuver Steadfast Defender, as part of which almost 100,000 NATO soldiers will be deployed ready for combat along the borders of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine in three sub-maneuvers at the end of May.
If European leaders are prepared to go to real war with Russia, this would be the defining moment. NATO soldiers could move into Ukraine, while at the same time other NATO soldiers stand ready along their borders as a threat against Russia and Belarus.
Of course, this would not be an official action by NATO, because all European politicians, including Macron, always point out that each state would reach its own agreement with Kiev. This is not a NATO war. They also have to say that because the USA itself does not want a war with Russia - and without the green light from the USA there is no NATO war.
The Council on Foreign Relations just reiterated this in an article when it called for “Europe – not NATO – should send troops to Ukraine . ”
With the Ukrainian army's front line likely to collapse soon, the die appears to have been cast. After the Ukrainians, the USA now wants to fight Russia to the last European.

🇷🇺🇬🇧🇫🇷 The ambassadors of Britain and France arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The British diplomat spent half an hour in the facility and left without speaking to the press.
Following him, the French ambassador arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The reasons for the visit are not reported. Moscow probably handed the British a note in response to Cameron’s statement about the possibility of using British weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation. And the French - to Macron’s statement about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.
After these statements, we recall that the Russian Federation began exercises on the use of tactical nuclear weapons
Also today, the German government announced that it was recalling its ambassador to Moscow, Alexander Lambsdorff, to Berlin for consultations. Officially, due to a cyber attack on the email accounts of members of the German SPD party, which Germany blamed on Russian intelligence services. - ISZ reports

‼️🇷🇺🇬🇧 The #Russian Foreign Ministry issues a strong warning to #Britain
The ambassador was warned that the response to Ukrainian strikes using British weapons on Russian territory could be any #British military facilities and equipment on the territory of Ukraine and beyond
The Russian Federation views the statements of the head of the British Foreign Ministry as evidence of escalation and confirmation of growing involvement in military actions on the side of Kiev.
The diplomatic service called on Britain to think about the catastrophic consequences of London’s hostile steps and immediately refute Cameron’s statements.
