❗️The EU will not pay Russia the proceeds of its frozen assets even after sanctions are lifted
According to yesterday's EU Council decision, frozen Russian assets are not sovereign assets. Therefore, the rules protecting sovereign assets do not apply to these proceeds.
The final approved decision is that 90% of these proceeds will be transferred to the EU budget for military aid and reconstruction in Ukraine, while 10% will be retained by custodians to cover possible risks.
This decision was added to the EU's package of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation.
We would like to remind you that the US is ready to lend Ukraine 50 billion dollars at once, but has asked the EU to guarantee that revenues from Russian assets will cover this loan in the future.

Russian general arrested in fraud probe
A Russian military court has ordered the arrest of Major-General Ivan Popov, the former commander of the 58th Army, alleging large-scale fraud, several media outlets have reported.
TASS revealed the arrest on Tuesday, citing anonymous law enforcement sources. The general is appealing the arrest and “does not admit guilt, because he is not guilty of anything,” his attorney, Sergey Buynovsky, told the agency.
Popov was reportedly detained last Friday, on orders of the 235th Garrison Military Court, according to the newspaper Vedomosti. Prosecutors allege that he was involved in a conspiracy to commit large-scale fraud, involving construction materials for military fortifications in Zaporozhye Region.
According to the Telegram channel ‘Two Majors’, the alleged fraud involved 2,000 tons of steel purchased by the military administration of the region to construct defense structures along the front line, in preparation for the 2023 Ukrainian offensive. An unnamed businessman from Krasnodar Region allegedly sold the materials elsewhere, defrauding the government of more than 100 million rubles ($1.1 million).
Popov commanded the 58th Guards Combined Arms Army, which defended the section of the Zaporozhye front centering on Rabotino, the town that turned out to be the main push of the Ukrainian offensive.
He was relieved of command in July last year, following the failed Wagner mutiny – according to a voice message he recorded for the troops, because he complained to command about inadequate support.
Popov is the third high-ranking military official to have been detained over the past month on allegations of misconduct. On April 23, Timur Ivanov, then deputy defense minister, was arrested on charges of taking bribes to the tune of one billion rubles linked to construction projects. He has pleaded not guilty.
Lieutenant General Yury Kuznetsov, head of the Main Personnel Directorate, was arrested last week and also charged with accepting bribes.

US military aid to Ukraine is ‘grift’ – Blackwater founder to Tucker Carlson
US weapons shipments to Ukraine are senseless since they are not capable of changing the course of the conflict, Eric Prince, the founder of private American military contractor Blackwater, told journalist Tucker Carlson in an interview published on Tuesday.
The military aid to Ukraine is nothing but a “massive grift paid by the Pentagon,” Prince stated, adding that the latest major aid package worth $61 billion approved by Congress and signed by President Joe Biden in April will end up lining the coffers of US defense industry giants. Prince, himself a former Navy SEAL officer, resigned and divested from his company after the 2007 Iraqi massacre scandal.
“Most of that money goes to five major defense contractors to replace at five times the cost the weapons that we have already sent the Ukrainians,” the Blackwater founder said, adding that “it does not change the outcome of the battle.”
“The Biden administration believed that all this American weaponry would have saved the day. It has not,” Prince said.
The Russian military has published photos and videos of damaged and destroyed Western-made military equipment in Ukraine, including US-supplied Abrams tanks. One of them ended up at a trophy exhibition in Moscow, alongside a German-made Leopard main battle tank and dozens of other pieces.
Kiev’s forces are already spread “very thin” and are about to face an “ugly summer,” according to Prince. “All the defenses that were supposed to be built by Ukrainians are much smaller or non-existent,” he said, mostly due to “corruption issues.”
Moscow’s forces are “going to have a very good summer” and will seek to “absolutely humiliate the West and make sure they never have a problem with Ukraine again,” the Blackwater founder believes.
The interview comes amid Russian offensives in Donbass and Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkov Region, where Moscow’s forces have been steadily gaining ground. Last month, Russia’s former defense minister, Sergey Shoigu, said Moscow’s forces had seized the initiative and “dispelled the myth of the superiority of Western weapons.”
Prince went on to say that he never believed Ukraine could push Russia out of Donbass and Crimea. “The war should never have [been] started.”
The only thing Washington and its allies will achieve in Ukraine is “facilitating the demise of the Ukrainian men” and “destroying” this nation “for future generations,” the Blackwater founder said.
Moscow has warned that Western arms shipments to Ukraine will only prolong the conflict without changing the outcome. It has also accused the West of forcing Kiev to “fight to the last Ukrainian.” In early May, Shoigu said that Kiev has lost more than 111,000 troops this year alone.

Pentagon sends five times as much expensive, old weaponry to Ukraine, not knowing “how to buy stuff cost effectively,” largest American PMC CEO says
"Most of that money goes to five major US defense contractors to replace at five times the cost, what the weapons cost that we already sent the Ukrainians. If we send them something that was built ten years ago, now it's going to cost four and five times as much. So again, it's a massive grift paid by a Pentagon that doesn't know how to buy stuff cost effectively,” Erik Prince, founder of the largest American PMC Blackwater, told famous US journalist Tucker Carlson.
Russia is winning right now, while Ukraine may not remain an independent country, Prince stated.
“I don't know if [Ukraine] survives as an independent country, if they take Odessa. If they take the ability for Ukraine to export its grain, that really threatens the long term economic viability. Look, western Ukraine used to be part of Poland. Eastern Ukraine used to be part of Russia. So maps move depending on military victories, drive diplomatic breakthroughs, and right now, the Russians are winning, and they're going to have a very good summer.”

US lawmakers ask Biden Admin. to allow Ukraine to use US weapons inside Russia
A bipartisan group of US lawmakers sent a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin demanding that he allow Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range weapons to carry out strikes inside Russian territory.
"We write in our capacity as members of the US House of Representatives to convey our strong support of several urgent requests on behalf of our Ukrainian colleagues: Authorizing the Use of US-Provided Weapons to Strike Strategic Targets within Russian Territory Under Certain Circumstances," US House Intelligence Committee Chairman Michael Turner and other lawmakers said in the letter.
The Biden administration has repeatedly said since the start of Russia's special military operation that it discourages Ukraine from carrying out strikes on Russian territory and restricts Kiev from using US-supplied weapons for such strikes.
The West has recently been increasingly discussing direct intervention in the Ukrainian conflict. For example, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the French military might be sent to Ukraine, while British Foreign Minister David Cameron said that it was acceptable for the Ukrainian army to strike Russian territory with British missiles.
The Kremlin called what is happening an unprecedented round of escalation of tension that requires special attention and measures. According to presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov, the Europeans see that the situation is changing rapidly and is fraught with a complete collapse for Ukraine, so they deliberately escalate the situation.

As the reality of the coming Russian victory over the combined NATO Leviathan has slowly dawned on the West, it has engendered a poignant shift in the increasingly high-pitched narrative. The comprador elite class has awakened to the fact that their global order is on the brink of dissolution, following Russia’s unclothing of their designs. The many decades of Gladio and other subversions are coming undone before our very eyes, as the dreams of a certain line of elite architects stretching back many generations are being washed away by the fitful birth of a new world.
Everywhere you turn, this elite moral panic is playing out front and center. As their industries die, their people gnash and seethe, and institutions flirt with collapse, the hoarse-voiced compradors crawl over each other to bleat out litanies of frantic warnings about saving themselves and their class.
The Global South sees clearly the writing on the wall: the Western order is falling.
As the West comes to grips with its slow pitch over the edge, its bellwethers and canaries have raced to trace the problem’s roots with the hopes of understanding how to stop it or where it might lead.
The problem with the technocrats’ solutions is that they are more of the same. They are using the crisis of their impending collapse as a way to usurp control over the sovereignty of all European nations. Take the insidious ‘inside man’ Draghi’s article above, about needing ‘radical change’ to compete with China and the newly shifting global order. What he urgently prescribes reads like a script from his crony controllers at Davos: a call to action to ‘integrate’ the countries of the EU with an iron fist, coercing them into giving up their individual points of leverage to some higher, unelected bureaucracy.
The dialectic is always the same: create a bogeyman to artificially unite people under one flag for ‘security’s’ sake—it’s the plot to 1984 and many other prescient works.
What we are witnessing is the agonizing death of a centuries’ old colonialist system of exploitation. It is the hegemonic European and Anglo-Empire’s corrupt extractive dominance of the global economy for the trickle-up benefit of a class of elite merchant and banking families whose power and influence spans centuries.
The way this Western order has cartelized and gamified the global economy is of course through their control of the banking monopoly, which mediates the flow of world finance and commerce to which they can apply endless arbitrage and seigniorage via control of the money supply by way of issuance of the dominant reserve currencies. To this day these remain: the Dollar and Euro, which together have combined for nearly 90% of global exchange.
This system is the direct carryover of the predatory mercantile fusions of state, banking, and corporate powers which saw organizations like the Dutch and British East India Companies ravage the world. But as the sun set on the British Empire in particular at the turn of the 20th century, the Crown began to get increasingly restive about the rising powers of China and Russia.
Now lacking military or industrial means to overpower these competitors, the waning British Empire was forced to resort to progressively devious and underhanded tactics to ‘rig’ the game invariably in its favor, hamstringing the Eastern giants at every turn. Over time this has led observers to wonder: what is behind the perceived infernal animosity Britain has for Russia? After all, both ruling monarchs were closely related:
https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/...3_903x660.jpeg
Recently, Jeffrey Sachs gave an interesting account of this very question on the Duran show: https://youtu.be/TAbi_2mbVKM
"I want to take it back to the 1840s, to the real roots of hegemony, which is Great Britain. Never was there a hegemon with such ambition and such a curious view of the world. But Britain wanted to run the world in the 19th century and taught America everything it knows. Recently, I read a fascinating book by a historian named J.H. Gleason, published by Harvard University Press in 1950. It's an incredibly interesting book called 'The Genesis of Russophobia in Great Britain.' The question is, where did England's hate of Russia come from? Because it's actually a little surprising. Britain has HATED Russia since the 1840s and launched the Crimean War that was a war of choice in modern Parliament—a war of choice by Palmerston in the 1850s—because it hated Russia. So, this author tries to understand where this hate came from, because it was the same kind of iterative hate that we have now. And by the way, we hated the Soviet Union because it was Communist, but we hated Russia afterwards when it wasn't communist. It doesn't matter. So, it's a deeper phenomenon, and he tries to trace where this hatred came from. The fascinating point is, Russia and Britain were on the same side in the Napoleonic Wars from 1812 to 1815, from the Battle of Moscow in Russia to Napoleon's defeat in Waterloo. They were on the same side, and in fact, for many years, the relations weren't great, but they were kind of normal. So, this historian reads every snippet of the newspapers, what's written, of the speeches, to try to understand where the hatred arose. The key point is there was no reason for it. There was nothing that Russia did. Russia didn't behave in some perfidious way. It wasn't Russian evil; it wasn't that the tsar was somehow off the rails. There wasn't anything except a self-fulfilling lather built up over time because Russia was a big power and therefore an affront to British hegemony. This is the same reason why the US hates China: not for anything China actually does but because it's big. It's the same reason, until today, that the United States and Britain hate Russia—because it's big. So, the author comes to the conclusion that the hate really arose around 1840 because it wasn't instantaneous, and there was no single triggering event. The British got it into their crazy heads that Russia was going to invade India through Central Asia and Afghanistan—one of the most bizarre, phony, wrongheaded ideas imaginable—but they took it quite literally. And they told themselves this: 'We're the imperialists. How dare Russia presume to invade India?' when it had no intention of doing so. So, my point is, it's possible to have hate to the point of war and now to the point of nuclear annihilation for no fundamental reason. Talk to each other."
As he states, Russia and Britain were on the same side in the early 1800s, during the Napoleonic Wars, then something started to change by the 1840s. There is nuance to everything: Britain long believed Russia had aims to steal India from it, which at the time was being gobbled up by the East India Company, with—as some believe—major support from the Rothschild clan.
But according to Sachs, the author concludes that there was no one real scintillating reason for the ‘hatred’ other than opportune geopolitical exigency in the form of Russia posing a grave emergent threat to the British order. This segued into the rush of the Great Game to central Asia, not long after which Mackinder set forth his ‘Heartland’ theory.
At the time the Ottoman Empire was dying and Britain’s fears were once more stoked, as Russia stood to gain inordinate geopolitical heft by seizing much of the Ottoman’s territory, which—in Britain’s view—would push Russia over the top as a Great Power.
This Forbes article goes into detail about how British prime minister Benjamin Disraeli—to this day the only Jewish PM in British history—went to great lengths to prop up the failing Ottoman Empire as long as possible simply to keep its peripheries out of Russian reach. The author, James Kaplan, nevertheless concludes it still all revolved around keeping Russia from gaining access to India, which the British continued to believe was Russia’s goal.
The escalation continued to the pre-WWI era when Britain got another bolt in its quiver against Russia in the form of the Jewish diaspora. At the time, the Russian pogroms had caused a wave of resettlements of Russian Jews to the ‘Pale of Settlement’, which mostly consisted of modern day Poland, western Ukraine, the Baltics, etc.
And this is where the two-pronged attack on Russia began. Benjamin Disraeli is cited by many as one of the fathers of Zionism, not only having put forth one of the first ‘Zionist’ visions in his book The Wondrous Tale of Alroy, but likewise even positioning himself to be the Messiah of the Jewish people by creating Israel.
https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/...d_1694x362.png
The British quest to create a colony in the Middle East under the auspices of ‘Zionism’ was always linked to maintaining British interests in the Heartland, keeping France from the region, as when Napoleon had conquered Egypt, as well as Russia from encroaching on the erstwhile Ottoman lands.
To quote Mao:
https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/...0_1180x341.png
At the time of the rise of truly international banking, Rothschild and many other Jewish bankers were ascendant. So this was perfect time to utilize these combined vectors as a new attack on Russia. It is why Jacob Schiff funded both the Japanese in the Russo-Japanese war, as well as the Bolsheviks leading up to the 1917 revolution. Since the most powerful dynasties like that of the Rothschilds made their home in Britain the country became a single coordination point against Russia. However, it’s not quite as black and white as it seems. After the Bolsheviks took power and began stripping Western banking and other assets, Schiff and his brood quickly turned against them, pulling out his money. Britain, likewise, sent an expeditionary force on the side of the White forces against the Bolsheviks, who had effectively co-opted the Western plan.

Russian soldiers start using Piranya FPVs, capable of withstanding electronic warfare systems
Russian soldiers received FPV drones Piranya capable of withstanding electronic warfare systems, developed by Simbirsk Design Bureau, Izvestia reported on May 22.
“We recently supplied them with drones using our unique frequencies, which are not jammed by electronic warfare system. Here they launched the first one, and immediately hit the target,” the Simbirsk Design Bureau’s public relations manager told reporters.
He explained that the UAV was equipped with a new multi-frequency communication system, which helps to avoid the impact of electronic warfare systems. The drone is controlled using non-standard frequencies. In addition, when exposed to a signal, the operator changes the drone’s frequency and continues to control it.
Russian soldiers have already destroyed US armored vehicle with rocket launcher, German IFV Marder, anti-tank grenade launcher SPG-9, mortar, warehouse with ammunition and other targets using Piranya FPVs.

In April 2024, then-Defense Minister of Russia Sergey Shoigu announced the planned delivery of new S-500 air defense systems to the Russian Armed Forces in 2024. According to Shoigu, the air defense systems will come in two modifications – long-range surface-to-air missile systems and missile defense systems.

This is a good analysis--shouldn't be too surprising--published in 1950. Same story continues!
What is missing is the 1700s British interpretation of Ezekiel 38:
Gog and Magog
Germany and Russia
So this is a non-governmental, populist movement, giving Millinerian Eschatology a way to go berserk.
In actuality, England had been trading in the Ukrainian area since the 1500s and things seemed relatively normal/progressive.
Even when the shift starts--I may have the names mixed up, but, I believe it was Tsar Nicholas II and Queen-to-be Victoria were well in love with each other. The nuptial didn't go through because mom and dad said no, we just don't do these things.
Everything I have seen would agree the intellectual and political precursors became fused in Palmerston, the handler of Mazzini.
That combines unreasonable hatred with terrorism -- "everywhere".
People who were less motivated by religion could go just as berserk with Nationalism, and, voila! Suddenly the Crimean issue is Britain's business.
This is a large part of why I say the English language is ruined, it has no background or context other than this.
They manipulate everything--next, we find an ancient, implacable enemy, France, spontaneously welded--Britannia and Marianne, the Entente Cordiale:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...le_dancing.jpg
That's unnatural.
You can just stop fighting, you don't have to strangle Germany from ever becoming robust, and, say, friends with Russia.
Oh--Germany is stagnated and unable to act like an adult. Oh. Kind of Americanized. Wait, how did the Brits get back on the American side? What happened to our Independence? /joke
But yeah. You have to give the Gog and Magog thing a hundred years to percolate before Palmerston arrives on the scene. And yes, we have the same broken record, infinite loop, being postured as if others are still going to take it seriously.
The entire freaking language is undermined, this is going to take a lot of work to catch up with what was already published in 1950.
When Disraeli published in 1877, a million Jews had already gone to the United States, and Zionism did not go as quickly as he planned. I think we could say it was faster after 1945.
The United States also got an unreasoning fear/hatred of China in the 1850s. Well, the U. S. was friends with Russia at the time, so this was easier. Instead of changing, it simply added the British opinion.
These different scenes are not unrelated and cannot really be separated.
I don't personally know what it is like to "spontaneously hate" some ethnicity, I just don't have what it takes to react in that manner. I object to a lot of things, most of which comes from other English speakers similar to me. They seem to be seriously developmentally disabled.
The difference is, in the United States, I can find counter-arguments up through the early 1900s. I don't know if you can dredge from any archive some person that dissented against Palmerston or anyone around London opposing the trend. If you can find one, I think you need to revive it.
