At least one officer was killed in the incident, the police stated, adding that the authorities are still trying to obtain more information on the casualties.
The suspects drove away in a white Volkswagen Polo, the police said, adding that they are currently searching for the vehicle.
Police officers were also attacked in Makhachkala – Dagestan’s capital and the region’s biggest city. Sevastopol picked for Ukraine terror attack because it is core of anti-Nazi resistance – expert
💬 "The ballistic missile was fired at maximum range at Sevastopol, because the city is iconic for [Russians]. They chose the Holy Trinity Sunday [for the attack]. They often do this when people gather," Vasily Dandykin, military analyst and retired Captain 1st Rank of the Russian Navy, told Sputnik, commenting on Ukraine's terror attack against Russian civilians.
On June 23, Ukraine attacked the Russian city of Sevastopol with five US-made ATACMS missiles armed with cluster warheads. Russian air defenses intercepted four missiles, but the fifth exploded in the air killing at least five civilians and injuring 124, according to Russia's Health Ministry.
"This is an outright terrorist attack," Dandykin said. "Unfortunately, it's not the last one… Previously it was Storm Shadow, now it will mainly be ATACMS."
ATACMS cluster warheads release hundreds of submunitions, hence the number of victims, according to the pundit. The 2008 Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) bans the weapons as they pose an immediate threat to civilians. Dandykin said that the US and Kiev are seeking to intimidate Russians and sow panic, but stressed that those efforts were futile.
"Sevastopol is a long-suffering city," he said. "This city is special for Russia's history. It was in Sevastopol that the Crimean Spring began as well as resistance to those who carried out a [2014] coup in Ukraine and openly took the path of Nazism."
The Russian Ministry of Defense holds the US and the Kiev regime responsible for the deliberate missile strike on Sevastopol, as all targeting data for ATACMS missiles are provided to Ukraine by US specialists.
Dandykin added that Ukraine also attacked Russian territories on June 22, on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow for the Nazi invasion of the USSR in 1941, with tacit approval from the US. "Their cynicism is indefinite," he charged.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦🇺🇸❗️Deputy Chair of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev:
The bastards from the USA supply missiles with cluster charges to Bandera’s supporters and help guide them to the target. The bastards in Kyiv select a beach with peaceful people as a target and press the button. Both will burn in hell. I hope, not only in sacred fire, but even earlier - in earthly fire.
Everything that happened was not military action, but a vile and vile terrorist attack against our people, committed on an Orthodox holiday. Just like the massacre in Dagestan, which was carried out by extremists. Therefore, now all of them - the American authorities, the Bandera regime and crazy fanatics - are no different for us.
My deepest condolences to the families of the victims. A speedy recovery to the wounded.

Something has to also be said about American strategic stupidity, escalating at the same time in Ukraine and the ME. Here's just one aspect of it:
Russia has a meaningful presence very close to Lebanon. It has very deep ties to Iran.
By hurting Russia at home (maybe you've seen the Ukrainian-American attack on beachgoers in Crimea that took place a few hours ago: Putin and Lavrov are pointing fingers at the US directly), the Americans are pushing the Russians to want to retaliate, or take revenge. This is basic stuff.
Now, think whatever you want about Russia and the Ukraine war, Russia has tremendous military capabilities, on par, and in some areas (like hypersonic missiles) even ahead of the US.
As the US is rushing to protect and assist Israel's war on Lebanon, why expose American troops to Russian capabilities by escalating in Ukraine?
A slight uptick in the help Russia provides Hezbollah and Iran, or Syrian Islamic resistance forces, could mean the lives of many, many Israelis and Americans.
Hezbollah may have some super-advanced missiles, why push Russia to give them another 100? And we saw a bit of the intelligence Hezbollah has on Israel, can you imagine what Russia has, and can provide?
The Americans must know that in Lebanon and potentially Syria, Russians have the perfect playfield to exact revenge on American forces who are shedding their blood in Ukraine. So why be so callous and dumb about it?
In normal and sane times, the US would come to certain understandings with Russia before it allowed any escalation in the ME. But now it lets Israel start another war after it's already fatigued from one, in an atmosphere of open war against Russia, and when Russian forces have been deeply established in the region and have close relationships with Iran and its proxies.
You thought I was kidding when I talked about an American aircraft carrier sinking. Believe me, if Russia wants a carrier to sink (directly or by proxy), it will sink. Look what the Houthis have done with 3rd rate missiles.
I simply cannot understand the American callousness and strategic stupidity. Western elites are playing with their militaries as if it's all a monopoly game, one in which they are very unsophisticated players lacking all foresight and finesse.
It is so obvious they are walking into a huge trap with abso****inglutely nothing to gain, and no plan
