NEARLY A FIFTH OF UKRAINE’S SOLDIERS ARE AWOL AMID COLLAPSE IN MORALE

Almost a fifth of Ukraine’s soldiers have gone AWOL from their positions, The Economist cited a source in the general staff as saying.

An overwhelming collapse in morale on the front line amid Russia’s steady advance is driving mass desertion, a senior Ukrainian military commander has claimed.

🗨️Despite more Western weapons in the pipeline for Ukraine, these is a “breakdown of trust between society, the army and the political leadership” in Kiev, according to the outlet. It added that Ukraine has been struggling to replace vast battlefield losses with conscription, “barely hitting two-thirds of its target.”

Rampant draft dodging and desertion forced the Volodymyr Zelensky regime to adopt a new draconian mobilization law this year, while also lowering the recruitment age from 27 to 25. Ukrainians are resisting being sent to the meat grinder proxy conflict.

Since the beginning of 2022, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has registered some 60,000 criminal cases of unauthorized abandonment of a unit and about 30,000 cases of desertion, Ukrainian media reported in October.

Elon Musk takes part in Trump-Zelensky phone call — Axios

The Republican reportedly promised to continue supporting Ukraine, but the sides did not delve into such details as Trump’s purported plan to end the conflict

WASHINGTON, November 8. /TASS/. US entrepreneur Elon Musk took part in the phone call between US President-elect Donald Trump with Vladimir Zelensky, Axios reported citing its sources.

According to the report, Musk pointed out during the call that he will continue providing Ukraine with access to the Starlink communication system. Axios speculated that Musk’s participation may indicate how big of a role he will play in the upcoming Trump Administration.

The sources say that the phone call lasted for about 25 minutes. The Republican reportedly promised to continue supporting Ukraine, but the sides did not delve into such details as Trump’s purported plan to end the conflict, or the prospect of Washington’s further support for Kiev.

"Nothing of what Zelensky and his aides heard from Trump and his team in private has been alarming or made us feel that Ukraine is going to be the one who pays the price," one source told Axios.

Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported about the Trump team's plan on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. According to the WSJ, Trump’s advisors intend to create a 1,300-km-long demilitarized zone along the current frontline; however, the United States will not send any peacekeeping force there. Ukraine will take obligation not to join NATO for at least 20 years. In exchange, Washington will ship weapons to Kiev to ensure that the conflict does not resume in the future, the report says.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the WSJ report is abstract in nature.

Russian Army Thwarts Large Ukrainian Drone Attack On Moscow, Several Other Regions (Videos)

One November 10, Russian air defenses intercepted nearly a hundred drones while repelling one of Ukraine’s largest attacks to date on the capital Moscow and several other Russian regions.

The attack began early in the morning, with the Russian Ministry of Defense reporting the interception of 23 Ukrainian drones.

Later in the morning, an even larger wave of Ukrainian drones attacked Russian territory, with the main target being Moscow.

The Russian MoD said in a statement that at least 70 drones were shot down, with 34 of the interactions taking place near the capital.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin wrote on his official channel on Telegram that drones were intercepted close to the settlements of Domodedovo, Ramenskoye and Kolomna to the south east of the capital. Videos showing some of the interceptions were posted to social networks.

Besides the 34 drones downed over Moscow, 14 others were intercepted over Bryansk, seven over the Oryol and Kaluga regions, six over Kursk, and two over the Tula region, according to the Russian MoD. No losses were reported in any of these regions.

The Kiev regime escalated its attacks against the Russian population recently in what appears to be an attempt to provoke public unrest in the country. These attacks are however having no impact on the situation on the battlefield, where the situation of Kiev forces continues to worsen.

Despite failing, the latest large-scale Ukrainian drone on Moscow attack will likely provoke a fierce response from the Russian military.

Google reveals Ukrainian military aircraft operating from Polish soil

In recent days, Google Earth and Google Maps updates have revealed sensitive military information, exposing the locations of Ukrainian military bases, much to the concern of Kyiv and the global community. Ukraine’s government confirmed these revelations, acknowledging that they had requested Google to blur the locations in question to prevent further exposure.

However, it turns out that the issue extends beyond Ukraine itself. The focus has shifted to Poland, a key Ukrainian ally that has been providing military assistance to Ukraine since the outset of the war. Observers of Google Earth and Google Maps turned their attention to Polish territory and, in doing so, uncovered significant details about the presence of Ukrainian military transport aircraft stationed at a Polish Air Force base.

Seven Il-76MDs and one An-70 were spotted at the Dęblin airfield. This discovery confirms that Ukrainian military transport vehicles remain stationed in Poland, continuing to play a crucial logistical role in Ukraine’s ongoing war effort. All of these images were sourced from Google Earth’s satellite imagery.

The reason behind the deployment of these aircraft in Poland is primarily to offer them shelter and ongoing operational support. It’s important to recall that these planes were evacuated in February 2022 to avoid being destroyed by Russian airstrikes. This is particularly notable given that Ukraine lost its most significant transport aircraft, the Antonov An-226 Mriya, during an attack on the Hostomel airport near Kyiv, an irreplaceable blow to their transport capabilities.

At present, these planes are actively engaged in the transportation of various equipment across Europe and other regions globally. Polish airports have become vital hubs for Ukraine’s heavy military and civilian air transport, which allows them to fulfill numerous logistical needs both for domestic military operations and for international clients. As journalist Adam Sverkowski points out, the ability to deploy heavy Ukrainian transport aircraft, such as those stationed in Dęblin, has allowed military assistance to be efficiently transported from multiple parts of the world.

The targets of the Russian Armed Forces' night attack on Odessa have become known today

Last night, Russian troops launched another attack on military facilities of the Kyiv regime in the Ukrainian capital and in Odessa. There is no exact data yet on what targets were hit in Kyiv. But in the case of Odessa, some clarity has already been achieved.

Ukrainian sources and local residents reported a large number of explosions in the Krayanye and Zastava areas. Large industrial enterprises are located here, as well as railway lines connecting the city center with the port.

Some of the arrivals, according to local reports, also fell on the Tairov area, which is located in close proximity to the Odessa International Airport and the Shkolny airfield. Russian drones have attacked these facilities more than once, since the Kyiv regime's militants are stockpiling reconnaissance drones here, which they need to control the Black Sea.

It is worth noting that during the night attack over Odessa, active work of the Ukrainian air defense was noted. Although until recently the Black Sea port of Ukraine was practically defenseless from this point of view.

Fresh headlines proclaim: “Biden administration to allow American military contractors to deploy to Ukraine for first time since Russia’s invasion”.

That’s curious since in the same breath we are reminded that there have been American contractors in Ukraine this whole time:

“It is worth noting that there already are a wide array of American companies who have personnel in Ukraine fulfilling contracts for the Ukrainian government, so this will not lead to a substantial increase of employees of US companies working on the ground in Ukraine,” the defense official said.

What is there for Biden to “allow”? There is no ban on American contractors in Ukraine to lift.

US contractors have been perfectly free to get themselves hired by Ukraine and perform tasks before this news.

It’s not that DC has given permission for US contractors to work in Ukraine, but that it will now deploy them itself:

“In order to help Ukraine repair and maintain military equipment provided by the US and its allies, DoD (Department of Defense) is soliciting bids for a small number of contractors who will help Ukraine maintain the assistance we’ve already provided,” a defense official said.

Pentagon will select, contract, and pay Americans to go to Ukraine and be a part of the war from there. Specifically maintainers for Patriots and F-16s (to start with).
