Brief Description: A US Navy sub fleet exercise is taking place 100 miles off Puerto Rico in 1963. Suddenly one submarine breaks from its route tracking a USO in excess of 150 knots 20,000 feet submerged. The USO is tracked for up to 4 days by the whole fleet, the object was reported to move at impossible speeds then stop and rest allowing the USO to be tracked by the Navy. Reports were sent back to the US military who never advanced the theory publicly as to how something could move that fast submerged.

To give some examples of todays submarine capabilities check out the following data;
World War II German U-boats had estimated collapse depths of 200 to 280 metres or 660 to 920 feet.
Collapse Depth of a Type XXIII U-Boat is 180 meters or 591 feet with a max speed of 9.7 knots surfaced and 12.5 knots submerged.
Submarines of the 60s - 70s
America - Test Depth of a Permit class submarine is 400 meters or 1300 feet with a max speed of 15 knots surfaced and 30 knots submerged.
Modern Submarines
Modern nuclear attack submarines are estimated to have a test depth of 490 meters or 1600 feet, which would imply a collapse depth of 730 meters or 2400 feet.
Britain - Test Depth of an Astute class submarine is 300+ meters or 984+ feet with a max speed of 18 knots surfaced and 29+ knots submerged.
Britain - Maximum Operating Depth of a Trafalgar class submarine is 600 meters or 1968 feet with a max speed of 20 knots surfaced and 32 knots submerged.
SSBNs
Britain - Maximum Operating Depth of a Vanguard class submarine is X meters or X feet with an estimated max speed of 20 knots surfaced and 25 knots submerged.
Russia - Test Depth of a Typhoon class submarine is 400 meters or 1300 feet with a max speed of 22.22 knots surfaced and 27 knots submerged.
Russia - Test Depth of a Borei class submarine is 450 meters or 1476 feet with a max speed of 15 knots surfaced and 29 knots submerged.
France - Test Depth of a Triomphant class submarine is 400 meters or 1300 feet with a max speed of 25+ knots.

Brief Description: In this video a USO/UFO encounter is discussed which occured in 1960. The Argentine Navy tracked on sonar 2 USOs which broke into 6 objects then fly out of the water to become UFOs. The objects simply disappeared. The narrator in the video comments that researchers claim submarines of that period could not fire more than four torpedos which is not technically correct as the Russian November class submarine had 8 533 mm bow torpedo tubes. Taking into consideration the November class submarines 8 torpedo tubes, it still leaves the question of the objects leaving the water. The Type 53 was a straight running Anti ship & Anti submarine torpedo. "Against submarines a combination of passive and active acoustic homing is used. Until the torpedo is in range inertial navigation is used. Later versions use wire guidance and allow for mid course updates" (6).
Additional Information
The American Sturgeon class & Permit class submarine only had four torpedo tubes (1, 2, 3, 4).
The Russian November class submarine had 8 533 mm bow torpedo tubes (5).

Guidance wire torpedo
The Mark 39 up to Mark 44 wire-guided torpedo was used in the the US navy from 1956 onwards, with the Mark 39 "only one wire guided torpedo at a time can be launched and controlled" (7).
The Mark 44 entered service in 1956 through early 1960s until its replacement by the Mark 46 torpedo in 1963 (6, 9). The mark 48 wasn't designed until 1970.

The Mark 44 torpedo was used by the United States Navy, Tunisia Navy, Royal Canadian Navy, French Navy, Marina Militare, Royal Navy & Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
Conclusion
In my opinion after serving in the Royal Navy submarine service as an Operator/Maintainer Weapons Submarine (Weapons Engineer) trained in both Tactical and Strategic weapons systems on Vanguard Class, Trafalgar Class & Swiftsure Class submarines between 1998 to 2001 as well as being part of a fire control team loading weapons onto submarines, it would end up like spaghetti junction and wires would become tangled and even break, to add to this the guidance system for the torpedo probably only allowed for one torpedo to be guided but this is just speculation at this point.
"In the event of the torpedo trajectory passing close to the unwinding cable, the rotating propellers may engage the cable and wind it onto the face seals; in which case, the cable may interpose itself between the graphite ring and the sealing surface, thus allowing water into the torpedo" (16).
"it can tow and several bodies at the same time for different purposes and therefore simultaneously launching several underwater vehicles, which can not be as easily with existing systems" (17).
You wouldn't fire 6 torpedos all at once because you're then leaving the submarine defenceless & you wouldn't have enough manpower to guide 6 weapons at once, it doesn't make sense to fire all your weapons off in one go.
To fire 6 weapons off at once would cause an increased noise signature through the water potentially giving away the position of the submarine putting the submarine & its crew at risk.

Why fire 6 weapons when you can fire 1 and break a ships back, sinking the ship?
As well as the previous notes, the torpedos aren't surface to air missiles and wouldn't leave the water as they are propelled underwater towards a target ie propeller driven. The third section of the Mark 44 torpedo contains a 24 kilowatt seawater battery which uses "silver chloride" & "magnesium electrodes" with seawater acting as the electrolyte, therefore requires seawater to function so if the torpedo is out of the water there is no seawater acting as the electrolyte, which means no power for propulsion. Not only could the torpedo not power itself out the water it wouldn't have a way to stabilize itself through the air if it managed to get out of the water.
