Earlier on today I saw online about Trump putting on hold the tariffs with Canada - even my husband told me about this But within the last hour Doug Ford makes this announcement. I have no idea if this is fear mongering or not ... Well, it IS fear mongering, but perhaps I've missed something since?

(NewsNation) — President Donald Trump is putting pen to paper Monday, signing an estimated 200 executive orders relating to ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs within the federal government, strictly defining two sexes and enforcing heightened border security.
Trump signed a few nominations and executive orders from Capitol Hill following his inauguration and then more in front of a crowd of his supporters at Capital One Arena. The first order he signed at the arena revoked 78 executive orders signed by former President Joe Biden.
An executive order is a signed statement about how the president wants the federal government to be managed. They can come in the form of instructions to federal agencies or requests for reports.
The president is expected to make good on several campaign promises on his first day in office, but many of his executive orders will likely come up against legal opposition in the coming days.

Border-related executive orders
Declare a national emergency at the southern border
Trump signed this order Monday night, aiming to help the secretary of defense quickly and seamlessly deploy members of armed forces to the border and free up more federal resources.
End catch and release of migrants
Border czar Tim Homan said the Trump administration would be ending the federal “catch and release” program, which allows immigrants who entered the country illegally to remain in the country as long as they are in the process for asylum.
“Stay in your homeland,” Homan told NewsNation last month. “Be safe. Crossing into this country illegally is very dangerous.”
Reinstate the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy
During his first term, Trump implemented the “Remain in Mexico” policy, also called “Migration Protection Protocols,” which required asylum-seekers to stay in Mexico until their claims were processed. Democratic President Joe Biden’s administration ended the policy in 2022.
Under the order, this policy would be reinstated.
Resume border wall construction
Trump began construction of the southern border wall during his first administration in an effort to prevent illegal crossings. Under the order, work would resume.
Designate cartels as global terrorists
After being elected, Trump revived a campaign vow to designate Mexico’s drug cartels as terrorist groups.
“I will immediately designate the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations,” Trump said.
While in office in 2019, Trump dropped the plan at the request of Mexico’s then-President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who said he wanted U.S. cooperation in fighting drug gangs.
Suspend refugee resettlement for 4 months
Trump, who put tight limits on refugees in his first term, has vowed to “suspend refugee resettlement” for four months as part of a broader effort to “immediately end the migrant invasion of America.”

Diversity and inclusion
Define gender as two sexes
Trump officials said the order will direct federal agencies to enforce laws in order to protect men and women as distinct sexes and use sex, not gender, in federal policies and documents.
The Trump administration will maintain there are two sexes, “male” and “female,” and that “they are grounded in incontrovertible reality,” one official said. The official added the federal government will use the sex of a person at birth to determine how they are classified.
Under the order, government-issued identity documents, including passports and visas, will reflect a holder’s sex. The order is expected to state that the federal government will no longer promote gender ideology, according to officials.
End federal DEI programs
A Trump official said an executive order will end “radical wasteful DEI programs and preferences” in the federal government in order to “create equal treatment.”
DEI refers to diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
This order ends funding for DEI funding in the government and will direct the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of Personnel Management to end “illegal mandates, preferences.”
Economy and environment
Energy emergency
Trump signed an order Monday declaring a “national energy emergency” to allow for more drilling and energy production. The order ends leasing to wind farms among other measures.
He said he will make America “a manufacturing nation once again” by ordering mass oil drilling, which he plans to export “all over the world.”
Withdrawing from Paris climate treaty
Another executive order signed by Trump immediately withdraws the U.S. from the Paris agreement, an international treaty on climate change. The pact is aimed at limiting long-term global warming to 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit (1.5 degrees Celsius) above pre-industrial levels or, failing that, keeping temperatures at least well below 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit (2 degrees Celsius) above pre-industrial levels.
The 2015 treaty is voluntary and allows nations to provide targets to cut their own emissions of greenhouse gases from the burning of coal, oil and natural gas.
Electric vehicles
The president said he would end the “electric vehicle mandate,” a phrase he uses to refer to a rule by the Environmental Protection Agency, USA Today reports. The rule required auto manufacturers to cut vehicle emissions by 2027.
Inflation and trade
Trump signed a memorandum directing every department and agency to address the cost of living crisis.
But he appears to be holding off at the moment on his threat to issue tariffs on China, Mexico, Canada and other countries. He also appears to be holding off on higher taxes on imports, with an incoming official pointing reporters to a Wall Street Journal story saying he will only sign a memorandum telling federal agencies to study trade issues.

This may seem like a small step but I believe that it is extremely significant. It will reverberate throughout the halls of government and through the American school system nationwide. The ripple effect that will touch every American life. It also restores a modicum of badly needed common sense to the USA and hopefully the world.
WITHDRAWING THE UNITED STATES FROM THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION EXECUTIVE ORDER January 20, 2025
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:
Section 1. Purpose. The United States noticed its withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020 due to the organization’s mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic that arose out of Wuhan, China, and other global health crises, its failure to adopt urgently needed reforms, and its inability to demonstrate independence from the inappropriate political influence of WHO member states. In addition, the WHO continues to demand unfairly onerous payments from the United States, far out of proportion with other countries’ assessed payments. China, with a population of 1.4 billion, has 300 percent of the population of the United States, yet contributes nearly 90 percent less to the WHO.
Sec. 2. Actions. (a) The United States intends to withdraw from the WHO. The Presidential Letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations signed on January 20, 2021, that retracted the United States’ July 6, 2020, notification of withdrawal is revoked.
(b) Executive Order 13987 of January 25, 2021 (Organizing and Mobilizing the United States Government to Provide a Unified and Effective Response to Combat COVID–19 and to Provide United States Leadership on Global Health and Security), is revoked.
(c) The Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs shall establish directorates and coordinating mechanisms within the National Security Council apparatus as he deems necessary and appropriate to safeguard public health and fortify biosecurity.
(d) The Secretary of State and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget shall take appropriate measures, with all practicable speed, to:
(i) pause the future transfer of any United States Government funds, support, or resources to the WHO;
(ii) recall and reassign United States Government personnel or contractors working in any capacity with the WHO; and
(iii) identify credible and transparent United States and international partners to assume necessary activities previously undertaken by the WHO.
(e) The Director of the White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy shall review, rescind, and replace the 2024 U.S. Global Health Security Strategy as soon as practicable.
Sec. 3. Notification. The Secretary of State shall immediately inform the Secretary-General of the United Nations, any other applicable depositary, and the leadership of the WHO of the withdrawal.
Sec. 4. Global System Negotiations. While withdrawal is in progress, the Secretary of State will cease negotiations on the WHO Pandemic Agreement and the amendments to the International Health Regulations, and actions taken to effectuate such agreement and amendments will have no binding force on the United States.
Sec. 5. General Provisions. (a) Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:
(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or
(ii) the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
(c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

Our sovereignty will be reclaimed, our safety will be restored, the scales of justice will be rebalanced. The vicious, violent, and unfair weaponization of the Justice Department and our government will end, and our top priority will be to create a nation that is proud, prosperous, and free.

We have a government that has given unlimited funding to the defense of foreign borders but refuses to defend American borders, or more importantly, its own people. Our country can no longer deliver basic services in times of emergency, as recently shown by the wonderful people of North Carolina who have been treated so badly, and other states who are still suffering from a hurricane that took place many months ago.
Or, more recently, Los Angeles, where we are watching fires still tragically burn from weeks ago without even a token of defense. They’re raging through houses and communities, even affecting some of the wealthiest and most powerful individuals in our country—some of whom are sitting here right now. They don’t have a home any longer. That’s interesting, but we can’t let this happen.
Everyone is unable to do anything about it. That’s going to change. We have a public health system that does not deliver in times of disaster, yet more money is spent on it than any country anywhere in the world.
And we have an education system that teaches our children to be ashamed of themselves, in many cases to hate our country, despite the love that we try so desperately to provide to them. All of this will change starting today, and it will change very quickly.
My recent election is a mandate to completely and totally reverse a horrible betrayal—and all of these many betrayals that have taken place—and to give the people back their faith, their wealth, their democracy, and indeed their freedom.
From this moment on, America’s decline is over. Our liberties and our nation’s glorious destiny will no longer be denied, and we will immediately restore the integrity, competency, and loyalty of America’s government.
Over the past eight years, I have been tested and challenged more than any president in our 250-year history, and I’ve learned a lot along the way. The journey to reclaim our Republic has not been an easy one, that I can tell you.
Those who wish to stop our cause have tried to take my freedom and indeed to take my life. Just a few months ago, in a beautiful Pennsylvania field, an assassin’s bullet ripped through my ear. Today I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense. It’s all about common sense.
First, I will declare a national emergency at our southern border. All illegal entry will immediately be halted, and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.
We will reinstate my “Remain in Mexico” policy. I will end the practice of “catch and release,” and I will send troops to the southern border to repel the disastrous invasion of our country.
Under the orders I sign today, we will also be designating the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. And by invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, I will direct our government to use the full and immense power of federal and state law enforcement to eliminate the presence of all foreign gangs and criminal networks bringing devastating crime to U.S. soil, including our cities and inner cities.
As Commander-in-Chief, I have no higher responsibility than to defend our country from threats and invasions, and that is exactly what I am going to do. We will do it at a level that nobody’s ever seen before.
Next, I will direct all members of my cabinet to marshal the vast powers at their disposal to defeat what was record inflation and rapidly bring down costs and prices.
The inflation crisis was caused by massive overspending and escalating energy prices, and that is why today I will also declare a national energy emergency. We will drill, baby, drill.
America will be a manufacturing nation once again, and we have something that no other manufacturing nation will ever have: the largest amount of oil and gas of any country on Earth. And we are going to use it. Right? Let me use it. We will bring prices down, fill our strategic reserves up again—right to the top—and export American energy all over the world.
We will be a rich nation again, and it is that liquid gold under our feet that will help to do it. With my actions today, we will end the Green New Deal, and we will revoke the electric vehicle mandate, saving our auto industry and keeping my sacred pledge to our great American autoworkers.

Under my leadership, we will restore fair, equal, and impartial justice under the constitutional rule of law, and we are going to bring law and order back to our cities.
This week, I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life. We will forge a society that is colorblind and merit-based.
As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.
This week, I will reinstate any service members who were unjustly expelled from our military for objecting to the COVID vaccine mandate, with full back pay. And I will sign an order to stop our warriors from being subjected to radical political theories and social experiments while on duty. It’s going to end immediately.
Our Armed Forces will be free to focus on their sole mission: defeating America’s enemies. Like in 2017, we will again build the strongest military the world has ever seen. President McKinley made our country very rich through tariffs and through talent. He was a natural businessman and gave Teddy Roosevelt the money for many of the great things he did, including the Panama Canal—which has foolishly been given to the country of Panama after the United States, the United States...think of this, spent more money than ever spent on a project before, and lost 38,000 lives in the building of the Panama Canal.
We have been treated very badly from this foolish gift that should have never been made, and Panama’s promise to us has been broken. The purpose of our deal and the spirit of our treaty has been totally violated.
American ships are being severely overcharged and not treated fairly in any way, shape, or form, and that includes the United States Navy. And above all, China is operating the Panama Canal, and we didn’t give it to China—we gave it to Panama—and we’re taking it back.
Above all, my message to Americans today is that it is time for us to once again act with courage, vigor, and the vitality of history’s greatest civilization. So as we liberate our nation, we will lead it to new heights of victory and success. We will not be deterred.
Together, we will end the chronic disease epidemic and keep our children safe, healthy, and disease-free. The United States will once again consider itself a growing nation—one that increases our wealth, expands our territory, builds our cities, raises our expectations, and carries our flag into new and beautiful horizons.

In recent years, our nation has suffered greatly, but we are going to bring it back and make it great again—greater than ever before. Trump made many good points in that speech, e.g. only 2 genders, immediate blocking of illegal immigration, etc.
However there are major glitches. The idea of name changing the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America smacks of colonialism. The word "Mexico" has strong native roots, while "America" is the name of an European explorer from the 1500's. Same for Mount Denali, which is the name that the local aboriginals use to this day for that mountain. This won't go well for many people in the US and abroad.
The major threat to USA's sovereignty wasn't mentioned in Trump's speech. And that's the infiltration of congress and control of the US political landscape by the Israel lobby. Will Trump eventually admit that the reason US has incurred trillions of dollars debt is mostly from the endless wars fought for the benefit of Netanyahu's expansion dreams. Not to mention the billions of dollars in military aid transferred to Israel every year. The day that the USA names Israel's lobby as a foreign state lobby is the day that US starts to regain its independence.
Also absent from Trump's speech are the huge costs of the numerous US military bases around the world, and the Ukraine war. Didn't Trump declare a few months ago that he would end that war within 24 hours?
Must watch.
Sombre but realistic analysis by Doug MacGregor about the likely outcome of Trump's new presidency: "more of the same". Trump's dreams of annexing Canada, the Panama Canal and Greenland are part of his emphasis on being perceived as winning. The war in Ukraine might continue with USA assistance. Probable plan in the works for USA to join Israel in attacking Iran, and to resume fighting against Gaza after the 60 day ceasefire.

Trump orders US to leave World Health Organization
US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to begin the process of withdrawing the US from the World Health Organization (WHO).
"Oooh, that's a big one," the newly inaugurated US president said as he approved the document after arriving back at the White House. It was one of dozens of executive actions he put his signature to on day one in office.
This marks the second time Trump has ordered the US be pulled out of the WHO.
Trump was critical of how the international body handled Covid-19 and began the process of pulling out from the Geneva-based institution during the pandemic. President Joe Biden later reversed that decision.
Carrying out this executive action on day one makes it more likely the US will formally leave the global agency.
"They wanted us back so badly so we'll see what happens," Trump said in the Oval Office, referring to the WHO, perhaps hinting the US might return eventually.

The executive order also said the withdrawal was the result of "unfairly onerous payments" the US made to the WHO, which is part of the United Nations.
When Trump was still in office the first time around he was critical of the organisation for being too "China-centric" in its tackling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Trump accused the WHO of being biased towards China in how it issued guidance during the outbreak.
Under the Biden administration the US continued to be the largest funder of the WHO and in 2023 it contributed almost one-fifth of the agency's budget.
The organisation's annual budget is $6.8bn (£5.5bn).
Public health experts have been critical of Trump's decision to leave the WHO, warning there could be consequences for Americans' health.
Some have suggested the move could reverse progress made on fighting infectious diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis and Hiv & Aids.
Ashish Jha, who formerly worked as Covid-19 response co-ordinator under President Biden, previously warned leaving would "harm not only the health of people around the world, but also US leadership and scientific prowess".
"It's a cataclysmic presidential decision. Withdrawal is a grievous wound to world health, but a still deeper wound to the US," Lawrence Gostin, a global public health expert and Georgetown University professor said.

Can’t deny that I was caught up in all the patriotic fervour during the inauguration, I found myself beaming, a big smile on my face, and almost wept with relief at one point. It was too delicious watching him, as Roseanne Barr put it, **** on them from eight feet away and they couldn’t do a thing about it except squirm. Extraordinary inauguration speech outlining in the ‘nicest possible way’ the crimes of the last years. Also, I wished Britain had a leader that would say, we’re closing the border, sending the army to patrol it, deporting illegals, stopping all foreign aid until all Brits are taken care of, declaring grooming gangs terrorists, sacking most of the corrupt establishment and bringing back hope and joy to the deeply depressed people.
I was delighted to hear he was pulling out of the WHO, a massive spoke in the wheel of the unelected rulers, but at the same time the creeping suspicion that it won’t last, that as ever, we’re all being played. I want to believe he will restore justice, truth and decency but something niggles away in the back of my mind, then this (see tweet below), where he seems to be describing Palestine as some prime real estate then said ‘they’re all mostly dead anyway’ left me slack-jawed as joy and hope ebbs away.
What I find most odd, strange, and weird, is how the deep state and democrats for the last two months have seemed to just waved the white flag and allowed Trump to just walk into DC unchallenged.
This is absolutely against their nature and the opposite of what we have seen since 2016 or slightly before then.
Something isn't right in my opinion. There's no way in my mind I can believe for a second that these evil demonic psychopaths are not planning something horrible.
It's almost as if they want Trump and all his closest officials all in the same place before they drop the hammer so to speak.

I remember the pre-2012 truthing days. Such a milieu of ideas and enquiries, a growing movement of people seeking truth in many areas ranging from specific events (such as 9/11) to the nature of reality, and everything in between. Some people made excellent cases, presented compelling arguments supported by facts and evidence, while others indulged in wild speculation presented as factual certainty.
So many debates, discussions, analyses. There wasn't much that could be proved with a degree of certainty. Many people disagreed on this and that, all the usual heated exchanges.
There was, however, one matter on which many of us converged, something we could agree on with a reasonable degree of certainty. The facts and the evidence supported the notion that the entire political system cannot be trusted, and that the most likely solution lies beyond the flawed system we've inherited. And it was compelling. We could observe the ruling classes, the private power groupings, measure their wealth, determine their influence; we hypothesised that private power groups could use their private power to circumvent checks and balances and gain control of the entire political spectrum, left and right. We could test out that hypothesis, and we found evidence of private power groups establishing schools and universities that educate the politicians, and those politicians end up in all the political parties (and that's just the tip of the iceberg). So we had MO. Is there motive? Of course. Ruling classes depend on the socio-power structure for all of their advantages. They have a clear motive for reducing their risk. We concluded that the system is a rigged game. Think of those rigged sideshows at fun fairs, you know, the hoop game. It's been set up so you can never win - the game-runner has reduced his risk. It's a bit like that.
In all these years I have yet to see this conclusion be falsified.
So I cannot, in good conscience, get behind the Trump movement, or any political party in any part of the world, or any hero, saviour or prestigious personality. It would simply be a betrayal of not only what I believe to be truth, but also my values.
I can, nonetheless, empathise with the people who get behind Trump. They need a win, they need to feel like someone's got their back, that someone understands, they're part of something, part of a family. These are all ordinary human needs, and I understand you, I get it, I really do.
And I have no doubt that many of the Trump voters are decent people (and by the same token, I'm sure there's a lot of decent people who didn't vote for Trump).
Yet I can't help thinking that it's possible for good people to be manipulated. After all, by 2010 the power groups were aware of the 'unprecedented geo-political awakening' (Brzezinski, 2008). Essentially they were cognizant of the growing 'truth movement' that was getting ever better at running down their games. Do you really think these people of industry and ambition would sit back and take it? Or is it more reasonable to assume they'll counter-strategise, game the hell out of it, and come up with a solution: we'll give them the champion they desire and channel their dissident energy back into the system.
Now I put my hands up here, I don't know for certain. Essentially I'm just brainstorming.
However, the facts and evidence against Trump are many. And the likes of TLAV, James Corbett and Whitney Webb et al. make compelling cases. Worth checking out for some alternative angles.
As William Blake said: 'The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind'.
That works both ways, so I'm open to persuasion. Make your case, but make it good.

I have been reading "conspiracy stuff" since my dad's friend gave me 'Rule by Secrecy' when I was 11 and I have been around this forum and the Project Camelot material for a long time, barring an extended absence, and I have been and continue to be absolutely flabbergasted at the support for any Political anything within this world, including Trump. I've seen members on here say they believe what the FBI is saying. Something that would have been an absolute anathema even 10 years ago.

And, he's going to issue a lot of emergency declarations because, as we know, the facilities (collosal data centers) need to have a lot of electricity and we have to get this stuff built.

The naive and obvious question: Where's the public debate on any of this? What about stopping cancer and other diseases by getting toxins out of the soil, water, food and packaging, and getting good exercise and reducing stress -- the common sense solution? What they're instead implementing is technocracy under the guise of "healthcare".
It is a bit disturbing that the 1st full day into Trump's Presidency a ginormous multi-billion dollar project is started with one of its main focus is mRNA vaccines. (and nano technology/electronic health records etc.).
And then there's Musk with Neuralink Corp, Starlink, etc etc joined at the hip with Trump.
Then we have all the tech giants like Bezos, Zuckyboy, Tim Cook, Sundar Pichai, Peter Thiel, Jenson Huang etc., kissing the ring of Trump.
I want to trust Trump and I have hope he'll fix a lot of things, but on day one I'm seeing an AI and Transhumanism demonic nightmare from hell coming together.

You might consider taking the "nationalist" rhetoric, however, with a grain salt. America has been under a brutal attack for a long time now. Culturally, psychologically, constitutionally. As in, existentially under attack--not with bullets and bombs and foreign armies--but with psychological operations and 5th dimensional warfare. Many conflate--even associate--the attacker with the American nation itself...
This speech, as I see it, is a blowback to the many years of this attack against America, dating as far back as 1963 with the assassination of JFK.
Standing up to the bully, on the playground, as perceived by an abbreviated snapshot without broader context, can--and does--come off as off-putting, self-centered, and the narcissistic characteristic of a person with an over-exaggerated sense of self importance. Who is this small person and what makes him so worthy to fight?
I'm reminded, now, of eight-year-old Billy, bloodied nose and all--beaten and pummeled by a much larger and more clever bloke--who finally pulled himself up from the dirt, skinny-armed and fist pumped, who defiantly declared proudly to the entire playground as he confronted the much larger bully, I'm an exceptional person, proud and tall!
