Recount of 1974 UFO incident by B.S.A.P man in Rhodesia.
I dont know if this has been posted in this form already, but an interesting account from Mike Norton, BSAP, from back in the day during the Rhodesian war.
My Dad was in the BSAP Special Branch (British South Africa Police) and Support unit at the time as well, and these guys were no nonsense straight up people.
The bit about the UFO starts at 1 Hour 13 minutes in.
The bright orb thing was something that many people saw back in Zimbabwe and I have been personally been told accounts of these orbs by 2 different people.

Wow, I really appreciated the entire thing from start to finish. Mike Norton is a wonderful storyteller. (And how the heck does he remember all those names, places and details from well over 40 years ago? :) )
The brief part at the end about the close encounter with the UFO is totally convincing, and typical of so much we're heard before that's very similar in nature. Here are his first and third talks, which I've not listened to yet — but certainly will do.

@safara, would you consider sharing some of your own experiences living in (and ultimately having to leave) Zimbabwe?

Oh ya - there are many facinating tales recounted in this whole Youtube series by John van Zyl and Hannes Wessels - but for a section other that the UFO bit :)

I have thought hard about this Bill, and for now I would rather sit tight on that and leave things where they were. Bit shy, it's probably boring and I am not ready to go back there.
But oddly very happy to watch videos and chat about other peoples experiences back then though :D

Africa, remember that UFO event where the primary school was visited by alien people, they connected with the children and conveyed images of the world becoming polluted and the atmosphere growing toxic? This was a highly convincing event, the kids were completely honest and even the teachers who disbelieved them at the time have come forward to state they actually did believe them, but felt pressured to debunk them.

Ya, the Ariel School in Ruwa encounter is in the same neck of the wood as the above - just seperated by 20 years or so.

Hey, I do truly, truly understand. :flower:
(Separately!) Many years ago, you told me the most remarkable "hand through the wall" story. Might you share that here in a private section, maybe in EXPERIENCERS: Sharing, Exploring, and Learning Together? Or even in a new thread of its own?
