How do we contract disease?
The following quote is from a series of free books, and it is so resonant with highlights in my long life, that I share this in case it supports others in these confusing times.

3 By taking our food in negative states of mind we take away our appetite, impede our digestion, and ruin our digestive system.
4 Read this ode to the trust in life so many times over that its content becomes alive to you; not critically but mechanically until it is automatized. That will give you the positivity which this Efficient Philosophy wants to encourage. Read it just once and you have not read it.

I was fortunate to catch glimpses of the general idea, just partly at a young age, and to experience the "blowing off" of a flue condition, instantly! ... But then I needed decades more of crazy living before I could find it's more credible origin, in a very comprehensive set of more credible books, (just in these recent years). With a fast moving world today, a person could make much faster headway than I did, in all those decades, if one wills it!

DIS-EASE is a state of no longer being at ease with oneself.
When we consider the pressures put upon humanity how can we be at ease with the lives we are living?
From the moment of birth the programming begins and with it an underlying stress is fed into our system. This stress is held within our cellular memory and over the years more and more stress is added and stored in our cells until they are filled to capacity with suff that is not conducive to health.
This can stem from abuse in childhood, trauma, lack of love, loss or fear that is unexpressed, subdued and never dealt with. When we are not prepared to address this we put it all away in a “box” and lock those memories away. But although we may suppress and try to forget them our cellular memory never does and our cells begin to get sick from their contents. Our immune system becomes compromised and opens us to the possibility of invasion by bacteria and viruses, and with that invasion comes dis-ease.
When we are no longer at ease with ourselves it is time to open that box and look at all those incidents where we have been hurt, because if we don’t our dis-ease will increase until our body builds a cancer or the equivalent. We individually cause our own dis-ease and we individually have the ability to heal ourselves.
Very often, rather than address the causes it is easier to take refuge in drink or drugs which in turn bring their own problems of possible invasion by astral entities leading to mental and emotional dis-ease.
If you wish to be healthy cultivate a life of acceptance, kindness and joy and in that way you will keep your frequencies high then nothing of a lower vibration will be able to enter your energy field.
There are other factors involved here that maintain a healthy body which are to do with attitude of mind, for a healthy mind leads to a healthy body. To hold no judgement, acceptance of the lessons life has to offer
