I do not believe Google or any other company can read your or anyone thoughts, not a chance without been connected to some special device (not phones or PCs).
I was using an app called LINE in my wife's phone another day, I sent a picture of "Fried Rice Cake" we did here another day, it took 1 second for the LINE app display a picture of fry chicken from KFC, why is that? Simple, the photo I sent looks pretty much like fried chicken from KFC. I didn't write anything like "fried rice cake", it was only a photo of it, their algorithm knows how to read photos.
But there is a few things that you can be aware before using these devices:
- Do not type at the same time you are thinking or constructing the sentence/phrase/keywords, google suggest the sentence based on few words, that is based on various parameters..
- Google record your behavior when you are logged (see the suggestions in the search bar), it also create files like cookies and it is stored in your computer. Do not search anything when logged and clean your cookies very often.
- Block Ads always, do not let those companies know who you are and what you like or hate.
- If you are using Android, you want to prevent Ads from displaying, I found "DNS66" to be the best one, but it will be buggy if used with a VPN, not sure why.
* When I say Google, I mean all Google products, not only the search engine.
I had a talk with a friend a while ago, he is electric engineer and hacker in his free time, his laptop is totally bare bones, no mic, no camera, a different keyboard he built himself, it is a modified version of the T400's model made by Thinkpad (IBM - old school), he follows very close the same approach used by Richard Stallman..
You can read more here at his official website
https://stallman.org/stallman-computing.html
Before anyone start shouting that Stallman defended Jefrey Spistein about underage girls and prostitution and all the bla bla bla.. I want to be clear, I do not care about Stallman's personal life, I just care about his knowledge and he is genius in science of computers and also a lifelong activist, he knows a lot of ****, that's all I can say and it is not the first time people tried to kill or destroy his life. He is another one standing strong out there and taking the hit for many decades now.
