See you in 2022 :)
they could be wrong again, so ... ...
If I remember correctly Terrance McKenna said his study of the I-Ching suggested 2012 was not the big year but (I think) 2020. He died close to the year 2000.
There is no end of the world anytime soon
Well according to REM:
"it's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine"
Here's my 2 cents...so what?
Maybe I'm being cynical, but I don't fear death or the moment (read: years, months, days, hours, seconds) leading up to it.
You've lived your life fully and to your satisfaction.
You've achieved personal and business goals.
You've spent endless hours with your family and loved ones.
Is there still more to accomplish in this life cycle? Sure, but the end of the world isn't going to change that, unless your planning to summit Mt. Everest or get married on the day after the world ends. But then, who cares.
If you knew the world was going to end on April 18, 2031 at 1545, what exactly would you want to accomplish? It's a rhetorical question and I posit that if you have a long list, then you probably should be worried. Worried isn't the right word - I would say some self reflection into what is important to YOU should be addressed. Money, time and health will always be the ever present obstacles. But is it always the same excuse(s)? or is it something else? Makes one wonder...
I get it...again my 2 pence.
I have survived all the former End of the World since 2012. The secret is to overcome the fear of death, if you manage that, you will live in total bliss and not be affected by this doom´s day announcements.
One can see and feel the shift since a while;the old world is dying and is giving birth to the new world , and it apparently comes in with some labour pain.
There's a new world commin'
And its just around the bend
There's a new day dawning
The one that's for you and me
A new world commin'
The one we've had vision of
And itys commin in peace
Commin' in love
Commin' in peace
Commin' in joy
And commin in peace
Commin' in joy
And commin in love

have a nice day!
It really is. Come to terms with your own death and it makes the whole world look like a different place. Lose your fear over it. I have done the same practice about living in my house alone. I don't worry about intruders same with death. In both instances I take reasonable precautions to prevent them and I expect to feel fear at the moment they do happen but I am not going spend any time beforehand worrying about something (death) that is inevitable or in a case of a break in, improbable.
The End of the world? No such thing... There are only new beginnings.
