Default Time travel: Is it real?

Alexander Smith claims to have traveled to the year 2118 and back. In this video, the alleged time traveler tells his story. He talks about top secret journey to the future and speaks out in an attempt to clear his conscience. Is this man a real life time traveler who has traveled to the year 2118

Looks as if he's wearing a prosthetic mask, or make-up, at the very least.

His voice sounds very 'young', for a, supposedly, old-looking man.

    Doesn't jive with me.

    Very strange.

My opinion at this time is unbiased as I haven't watched the video yet-- I will after typing this post. The obscured face & eyes could be an attempt to defeat facial recognition alrorhythms. He might also keep his eyes hidden because his life is in danger.

Agree on the mask hypothesis posted above and the story doesn't seem to match the testimony... For example if we replace the person giving the testimony by someone popular like Corey Goode a disguise would make his story even less believable. There should be no bias if we are going to judge fairly...

That youtube channel / video is the only source I can find for anything "Alexander Smith Time Traveler" --- there seems to be absolutely no other references to this man anywhere on the net. So I wonder ... what is the source for this video? A creation by the channel owners? Why can the source not be found and why is there absolutely no other mention of this guy anywhere on the net? Does ApexTV have sole exclusivity on some gem? Seems unlikely ...

Don't forget to check out channel owner for clues ...

Here is another "Time Traveller" video by ApexTV This one has been to 2092! (there is actually 5 or 6 of these "Time Traveler" videos on his website -- all from the future, all different people.

Here's one more ApexTV video for fun?

I have my doubts about the authenticity of these "time travellers" I don't think the kid who owns the channel does any sort of vetting on these ...

I can’t believe I listened all the way to the end. Halloween-mask-guy turned on the TV with a remote control. You’d think by 2118, a thought command or an embedded microchip would do that.
    • US physical dollars are still in circulation in 2118.
    • Interesting that the date he read off the TV was November 17, 2118 and this video was uploaded on November 16, 2017.

ApexTV’s got a mighty fine collection of ’20 and backers’.

UPDATE: I'm just catching your post, Mike. I wondered if the YouTube owner was Halloween-mask-guy. Which is why I added above the time stamp of the vid.

I thought his voice was too young to be a grandfather. I decided not to add to save some posts down the line asking how could I know what a grandfather voice sounds like when potentially some grandfathers are in their late 30's early 40's.

Soooo those readying to hit the keyboard, please ignore this. I get that side of the argument. Yup, I really, really do.

A few points that I noted, besides what has already been noted: It seemed too easy for him to leave the hospital; it seemed too easy to get back to the 1980s; his employment for the CIA is confusing (he worked there and/or signed up as a guinea pig to test new tech?); the floating cars and furniture -- what would be the purpose of floating furniture?

I never used to think there was such a thing as time travel... but now I do. It's hard to explain why I think so. I remember something clicked in my head when I read "you only remember the most recent revision". Maybe it's a bunch of crap, but it made more sense at the time than it does now! The key being our memory. There was also "time is all happening at the same time", which was making me laugh. But it kind of makes sense, if you think of time more as a concept than a measurement.

I've had a few instances it feels like the past has changed. I don't think it works quite like that though, more likely my memory of the past has changed.

I don't think it's possible to predict the future, not really, but I think it's possible to guess and be correct

Don't know if this guy is for real but, time travel is possible ... We will figure it out, and go back in time and try to alter the future ... it's all in the speed of the particles, the past moves faster and the future moves slower ... Controlling the speed of the particles is the key ...

People have suffered, so going back in time will not alter that fact.

Not wanting to get caught up in trying to "prove" anything.....I DO respect Bob Dean enough to believe what he said he experienced....of course, he could not "understand" what happened; was just relating as to what he experienced. These "Johnny-come-lately's" have a lot of material to "plumb" if they want to make up stories & become a Big Name!

Been reflecting on it.... I don't think the guy has the appropriate emotional attachment one would expect for this to be real. The whole thing was presented very matter-of-fact, emotion lacking.

He also said that he had some kind of a bag or something in the time travel chamber with him with cameras, etc, and that was left behind. He only travelled with the clothes on him and what he had in his pockets. That confuses me-- time travel will take your clothes with you, but leaves your bag behind?

    Next?

If I had something to hold for my safety, I would give to Bill and tell him, he should give the item's 3 copies to 3 different people who are not related with me, and advice them, do it same way for other 3 people who is not related with Bill. Also I would give to Bill a key word, when he hear that word he would send his own key word to first 3 people to write it anywhere on the internet that data.

If I would publish a video which is very sensitive. I would hide my face, my voice.

How could I hide my face and voice?

I would write it down and find someone at different location to read that statement on video while he was covering his face. Later, I would give that video to another person to publish any place on the internet. AI is going to have some trouble to stop it after first shot.

Perhaps our understanding of time is still in its infancy. In most shamanic traditions, once we leave this physical experience all time is simultaneous. I would suspect most of our confusion comes from our insistence on a linear, timeline like flow of reality. I once read a teacher explaining that when we heal the present we change the past, since all is happening in a connected NOW. Just a thought. But to really get our head around the idea of "time travel" it might be helpful to examine out assumptions about what time really is.....
