    This is all part of what’s called Cultural Marxism.

    Here’s a good documentary

    Cultural Marxism: The Corruption of America.
    This so-called "documentary" represents the viewpoint of Pat Buchanan and others of the same ilk. In other words: the view of 'christian conservatives' aka paleoconservatives. I don't consider them as 'objective' in any way -- just the opposite. The whole narrative that the Frankfurt School were responsible for the cultural subversion of the Western society is a fairy tale.

    Quote Posted by Deux Corbeaux (here)
    Aided by a panel of interview subjects including former presidential candidates Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan, the film attempts to unspool the means by which this revolt was made possible. It places a significant part of the blame firmly at the doorstep of the "Frankfurt School", and Marxist theorist/professor Antonio Gramsci. He believed that a de-Christianization of the west was in order, and could only be achieved through a patient infiltration of its most treasured institutions.

    According to the viewpoints presented in the film, evidence of his mission's success can be found in the destruction of the family unit, the marginalization of religion, and wildly disintegrating sexual morality. Once these fundamentals are violated, all other aspects of a functioning society are made vulnerable as well, including the country's military power, banking systems, protections for gun ownership and the sanctity of the constitution itself.
    I prefer to use common sense -- I don't take any "documentary" at face value. Here are some of my arguments:

    Hollywood and the porn industry were the main culprits for "the destruction of the family unit, the marginalization of religion, and wildly disintegrating sexual morality" -- not some vague "Frankfurt School" which was largely unknown especially in the US.

    It should be obvious that "the erosion of traditionalist, Christian values which have long defined the character of the country" were due to the fact that these Chistian values are a hollow tradition without any substance, they are nothing more than lip service. But the conservatives need a scapegoat, they will never admit that their "Christian values" are full of hypocrisy.

    The political forces behind "identity politics" and related movements can be identified easily:
    • Soros and his network of "Open Society Foundations"
    • Obama, Valerie Jarrett and others of the same ilk; apparently, a large part of the DNC belongs to them
    • Saul Alinsky wrote the "how-to manual" for this movement, just look at his "Rules for Radicals"

    I'm not specifically countering your observations here and am interested to learn how Marxism and Postmodernism stand in such sharp contrast? Elaboration would be helpful to better understand or refute Peterson's position.
    Here is a short description of postmodernism -- Encyclopedia Britannica.

    Quote What is postmodernism?

    Postmodernism is a late 20th-century movement in philosophy and literary theory that generally questions the basic assumptions of Western philosophy in the modern period (roughly, the 17th century through the 19th century).

    What are some general characteristics of postmodernism?

    Postmodern philosophy is characterized by broad skepticism or relativism and a general suspicion of reason. It also broadly asserts that Western intellectual and cultural norms and values are a product of, or are in some sense influenced by, the ideology of dominant or elite groups and at least indirectly serve their interests.

    What do postmodernists believe?

    Many postmodernists hold one or more of the following views:
    1. there is no objective reality;
    2. there is no scientific or historical truth (objective truth);
    3. science and technology (and even reason and logic) are not vehicles of human progress but suspect instruments of established power;
    4. reason and logic are not universally valid;
    5. there is no such thing as human nature (human behavior and psychology are socially determined or constructed);
    6. language does not refer to a reality outside itself;
    7. there is no certain knowledge; and
    8. no general theory of the natural or social world can be valid or true (all are illegitimate “metanarratives”).

    About the difference between marxism and postmodernism -- despite Peterson's claim that they are in agreement with one another.

    Quote Postmodernism, According to Peterson

    Peterson often makes comments about “postmodern neo-Marxism,” which he calls a “rejection of the western tradition.” Now the very phrase “postmodern neo-Marxism” strikes anyone remotely familiar with the academic literature on postmodernism and Marxism as bizarre and confused. Postmodernism is usually characterized as skepticism towards grand general theories. Marxism is a grand general theory about how class struggle and economic conditions shape the trajectory of history. Clearly, those two views are not at all compatible. As such, much of the history of twentieth century academia is a history of Marxists and postmodernists fighting and butting heads.

    Sorry for going off topic, but is it horse sense or hoarse sense? The following video asks the question, is Jordan's recently disintigrating voice the result of the carnivore diet? After all it would appear he's not the only carni-proponent with such symptoms:

    the greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated --- Gandhi

    "Tough times produce strong men,
    strong men produce good times,
    good times produce weak men,
    weak men produce tough times"

    One of Jordan Peterson's best interviews in my opinion. Emotional and powerful.

    - About a next book to come with another 12 Rules.

    - About Rule 4: "Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today".
    This in response to why you should not compare yourself to others: "You don't know other people well. The ideal that you're observing, that makes you jealous and resentful, is largely an illusion created by your own mind".

    - About raising a family. "Sometimes you don't want to make your kids' lives easy".... That's where he gets emotional.

    - About the challenges of media. "Never say on the Internet or even behind someone's back, anything you would not say to their face" ( Rule 13).

    - About liberals and conservatives and the need to stay in dialogue with each other and work together. "You need liberals, because now and then the right thing to do is come up to something new. You need conservatives, because now and then the right thing to do is to do what was always done..." It just depends on the time, which solution would be the best.

    And then to think that the liberal media labeled him as a dangerous and hateful alt-right person, even a nazi.

    Jordan B. Peterson - Foreword to The Gulag Archipelago: 50th Anniversary
    49 minutes Posted Oct 18, 2020

    Quote I had the great privilege of writing the foreword to the 50th-anniversary version of the abridged version of one of the most important books of the 20th century, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipelago, a devastating account of the absolute horror wreaked upon the people of the Soviet Empire by the acolytes of the doctrine of Karl Marx. I read the foreword here, in its entirety, and encourage everyone to purchase and study the book. It changed the world.
