Id like to create a list of things once thought of as wild conspiracy theory, that today are now accepted as fact.

example/
*it was once thought crazy that government is spying on its own people/ then William Binney and other whistleblowers proved true

*that catholic priests were abusing kids

it was once thought ridiculous to think water on another planet in our solar system, now with mars an accepted scientific fact.

I'm looking for things now seen as fact ,not speculation . would love your contributions

If I'm not mistaken, the attack on Pearl Harbor has been proven to be a false flag operation, which for the longest time folks were accused of that being a so called conspiracy theory. Hopefully, one day 9/11 will be shown to be the same.

A clear proven conspiracy in my mind, and a huuge one, was the Business Plot of 1933, which would've seen the overthrow of Roosevelt in a fascist coup d'état.

That was an overt, in-your-face attempt to topple the democratic order. Thanks to Smedley Butler, it failed. No one was prosecuted however, Roosevelt couldn't afford the upheaval this would cause.

In my opinion, the bad-actors involved just went underground, where they've festered ever since (deep state).

Conspiracy theory mostly owes its origin to the ca. 1800 Anti-Masonic Party and fear of the Bavarian Illuminati. For the most part, this is Christian Fascism, initially Jesuit and eventually gaining traction in the British Union of Fascists.

The Western religious branch in particular has nothing to do with its supposed patron and plunged Europe into a Dark Age. I question what "Western tradition" even is, since: it murdered its native druids, pagans, etc., replacing it by force with a contrived variant of Middle Eastern religion. Its eventual slow emergence from this, in terms of science, sanitation, and romance, almost entirely derives from Islam in Spain and mid-eastern centers of learning.

A conspiracy amounts to crime, and since that is defined by man's laws, itself deserves further scrutiny. Many things are illegal which I would never report or resist; at the same time, plenty of perfectly legal things are absolutely abhorrent.

Mention of the very near 1933 U. S. A. coup is a good point and that had something along the lines of 500,000 interested participants. Around the same time, General Motors acquired most of the urban train/trolley systems, and quit maintenance and let them fall apart, forcing people to buy cars. This may have been legal, but may not have been an act of outstanding merit.

Pearl Harbor was the aftermath of an act of war: a fuel blockade against Japan, and most likely was allowed to succeed.

It gets messy because "seen as fact" and "is fact" is probably more of the hair-splitting factor than just a conspiracy/crime aspect. For example, here are two things that have never been observed: black holes and continental plate drift. Although there are groups of scientists that offer alternative explanations for both, they are suppressed by the establishment.

Almost any revolution or revolt against government is illegal, some of these were just, but renting mobs for agitation is as old as dirt.

One of the early successes of these was 1680s English Revolution. Cromwell got a lot of people on his side, overthrew the monarchy, and proved to be such a cad that many of his supporters soon changed their minds. It was largely he who instituted the "Jewish banking" thing and decided to use the Jewish diaspora for British hegemony, which all of its governments continued, even though replacing him with a Germanic branch of royalty. I am afraid that the "accepted fact" of Zionism is an ancient Jewish one, whereas the "actual fact" is Christianity marginalized them into a handful of occupations such as finance and butchery and they were largely powerless until the British opportunity.

So there remains the sticking point of speculation vs. accepted fact vs. actual fact; some speculation is factual, some accepted facts are misguided. At one time, the films of "millions of dead Jews" were irrefutable proof of Nazi gas chambers, whereas those same films are perhaps better understood as a smaller number of the result of Allied bombing of the trains, which increased starvation and disease. I can't prove who they were or how they died, I can only find a whole lot that is wrong with the first explanation, and more support for the second.

I generally do not mention them in "polite company" as my "intelligent" and "educated" friends end up turning into a seething screeching mass of imbeciles foaming at the mouth ready to use violence.
It's decidedly odd..........what kind of programming overrides clear and unbiased thinking?

Somehow these topics trigger truly and radically uncharacteristic behaviours from people who are educated as scientists and engineers.
How does this happen.........?
