This species of butterfly, Kallima inachus, is native to tropical Asia. When they are closed, the wings of the butterfly look like brown leaves.



Salps belong to the Tunicates. They are chordates without ceolom, segmentation or bony tissue. They look a bit like jellyfish, but taxonomically they are actually closer to humans than to jellyfish. Unlike other Tunicates, salps are planktonic.

Sea pen is a colonial animal with multiple polyps that 'root' itself in sandy or muddy substrate. They mainly catch plankton. When touched, some sea pens emit a bright greenish light.

"This lazy cat was in no mood to move - and she simply sprawled out on the floor of a restaurant.

The tabby named Thongdang was filmed sleeping coåmfortably on her back on the wooden floor in Chachoengsao, central Thailand on July 27.

When waitresses had to pass by carrying plates, Thongdang would not move and the staff had to step over the cat.

The restaurant boss said: ''She's the kind of cat that does what she wants and everybody else has to accommodate her.

''But we still love her, even when she lays on the ground and won't move.'' "

Bobcat Sitting on Top of 40 Foot Tall Cactus in the Arizona Desert

The mountain lion that was stalking him however just circled the base, stared upwards and growled for a few minutes before giving up and walking off.

The drama unfolded on the Giant Saguaro Cactus in Arizona's Sonoran Desert. It is an enormous plant with two-inch spikes and is thought to be up to 300-years-old.Photographer Curt Fonger, 69, captured what happened on film.

He said: 'A friend called me at 7am saying one of his workers had seen a bobcat being chased by a mountain lion.

'It ran across the road in front of his car and climbed up a large saguaro cactus at the roadside, with the lion hot on its tail.'The lion didn't pursue the bobcat up the cactus but circled the base.

'It looked up at the bobcat, growled several times, then turned around and trotted back up from where it had come.'The mountain lion probably had cubs, the bobcat had intruded on its territory and she gave chase to warn the bobcat not to come close to her young family.

I don't think that ended very well for the shark, having a fishing hook lodged into his back. I wonder how long he had to swim around in the sea with the fishing pole in his back?

I thought about that, but never saw a hook. To me, it looked like the fishing line was tied around the meat treat.

I just took another look - it looks like there were some small hooks in the meet (@ 0:03) so hopefully they didn't impact the shark.
