Default Contemplative moments for a brief respite..

I'd like to post little scenes here that are filmed/videoed/shot in real time. The idea is to provide an easy to find place of quiet contemplation. A refuge where brief meditative moments might be enjoyed. One might label these brief moments, mise-en-scene, a term used in film for long shots in real time.

Here is the first one for your enjoyment!!

I took it this morning at 5:00 am as the moon was slowly setting over the Pacific.

    With Love to you!

Here's another one that I took about an hour-and-a-half after the previously posted "video." You'll see some birds (gulls, terns) flying around in the background and beneath them are dolphins feeding..

    Hey Latte, thank you!

The beach, Newport Beach, is less than 10 minutes from the house that I share here in Southern California. I go early in the morning, @5:00, sit and have my coffee under the stars as the surf is breaking against the sand and rolling almost to my feet!

Then, every morning that I can, I take a 3-mile walk, barefoot, in and out of the water. 1.5 miles down and then turn around and walk back. Different every day due to moon phase, tides, weather, etc. It's a lovely way to start the day!

It's around sunrise when I finish.

Okay, here's a really good one that I found on Youtube. It's an hour long and done with very high quality equipment.

So, I don't think we have to post only "videos" that we've shot ourselves. AND, importantly, everyone should feel free to contribute to this thread. If you find a scene of beauty that resonates with you, go ahead and post it here!

Currently living a block away from a major highway, and within an earshot of a major railroad line, not to mention the mind numbing jingle from the ice-cream truck that has it's route based in my neighborhood this time of the year, I often day dream, but more anything, look forward to day when I return to the places where my soul feels truly at home.

Here is where the silence is deafening, where the landscape is breathtaking, where the night skies make me homesick of a place known only to the most deeper reaches of my soul, and where the magic that lurks cannot be adequately put into words.

Thus, a couple of years ago I created the two time-lapse videos below - to always remind me of where my soul most feels at home. May these landscapes and skies bring to your soul what they have brought to mine. Enjoy

“Hózhó" is a Navajo word that means “walking in beauty” – or living in a manner that strives to create and maintain balance, harmony, beauty and order. Hózhó, the Navajo concept of balance and beauty is similar to, but much richer in meaning than the term “conservation”, as it implies a deep connection between people and land. To be "in Hózhó" is to be at one with and a part of the world around you.

Gaia, in Greek mythology, was the name given to the ancestral mother of all life: the primal Mother Earth goddess.

This is an amazing video taken by placing a backpack camera onto an eagle flown by a falconer. With the ambient sound, which is awesome! It's in HD but might take a minute for the HD quality to kick in. Once it does, Pure Joy!!

Happy Sunday! Taken early this morning, June 16, 2019, Newport Beach, CA. Low clouds, low tide, and a couple of Heerman's gulls.. Enjoy!

Nature is the absolute art that reshapes the world.
Let's enjoy virtually the freshness and beauty of the earth, which gives us peace at any time of life.

A movie with a river 5 km away from where I live, filmed with an unprofessional camera, but wonderful in reality, (0:16)

The river shelters billions of dragonflies every year at the end of May-beginning of June in a magic flight of a few days...

And two videos that I really like.
Nature's music is already played in the most magnificent show in the world and we can only enjoy.

The beauties of nature are rich in fantasies, floral aromas, perfumes are delicate and unique that I hope will delight your soul and brighten your day!

A few hours ago when the sun was setting, we went out in the garden only to say goodbye to my plants until morning and found in the sky a huge and double rainbow that I had rarely seen before.
We ran to the house after the camera and back to the end of the garden to film it, it lasted longer than the movie and it was for us the grace in colors for today, it simply completed the beauty of the hill that I see in many colors depending on the season.

From what I understand, there was another one just as huge in 2012 when I wasn't here, I was gone to Europe, but I'm definitely very happy to see him ... and I just want to share my joy with everyone loves rainbows!

Spectacular view from a backpack-mounted camera carried by a golden eagle flying over Scotland in winter!!

The footage, which is just under 3 minutes long, is in HD so it may take a moment or two to appear here. Wonderful to watch in full-screen with ambient sound on..

It is 12:43 it is very cloudy (there is no star) and here it is raining torrentially, a pleasant sound of water in its mission to flow, a pleasant feeling of contemplation in the sound.

Enjoying the view far from the unleashed world, of dust and noise, in the middle of nature is the ideal place to become ourselves again in the most natural and human way.
Nature floods our being in the eternal present.
