He might have been behind whacking of Paul Tatum who seemed to be some kind of middle man between the west and president Yeltsin (who was opening up Russia to be plundered by the west).
Rumor is he lost half his nose because of cocaine ... Not verified but his nose does seem a bit odd.
Most of his wealth got confiscated by Russian government recently (happened to several wealthy persons in there ) . So his suicide or being suicided might not be related to Epstein. He already lost everything , because he was corrupt or government wanted to fill ¨war chest¨, that is up to some speculation .

Dzhabrailov, born on June 28, 1958, in Grozny, Chechnya, had a turbulent career marked by controversy. He was involved in the 1996 murder of American businessman Paul Tatum at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel, though he was never charged. He also faced legal issues in 2017 when he fired a weapon in a Moscow hotel, leading to a conviction for hooliganism and a 500,000 ruble fine.
Tatum joined a Chamber of Commerce agricultural delegation to Moscow in 1985. Tatum was operating a Hotel Joint Venture with a Chechen businessman named Umar Dzhabrailov; the venture included the international hotel Radisson.
Tatum also founded the Americom Business Centre.
Tatum had numerous disputes with his hotel partner Umar Dzhabrailov, at one point taking out a full-page ad in a local Moscow newspaper alleging that Dzhabrailov was blackmailing Tatum and trying to force him out of the hotel joint venture. On April 7, 1995, Tatum was barred from entering the hotel by his estranged business partners in a battle for control of the business.[6] A few weeks later he was gunned down and shot 11 times in the head and neck. Shortly after Tatum's death, Dzhabrailov and the Moscow city government quickly took over complete control of the hotel joint venture.
During the attempted coup in Russia in the summer of 1991, Tatum had supplied president Boris Yeltsin's only link to the outside world by giving him satellite linkage from a government building in Moscow, which was surrounded by army units trying to overthrow his fledgling democratic government.
In 2026, Umar Dzhabrailov was linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case after his photograph surfaced in the released Epstein files, though he stated he did not maintain a close relationship with Epstein. His financial and personal life declined significantly in recent years—his business accounts were blocked by tax authorities due to unpaid taxes, and he admitted in a 2023 interview with Ksenia Sobchak that his former fortune had largely disappeared.
