I was impressed with this. Ben sometimes gets impatient with the questions he gets on his own live Q&A shows, but here he keeps his cool and is totally grounded. He doesn't even get irritated with Jimmy Corsetti, who talks WAY too much for an interviewer.

Moreover, Ben shares his views about a whole bunch of other topics that he usually rarely addresses. He's admirably well-informed and aware of a wide range of 'alternative' issues, not just geophysics and astrophysics. Kudos.

Ben is a very bright guy. His critics point out that he doesn't have a long list of degrees in science (though he does have one) but that he is a licensed attorney.
(Many scientists with long lists of degrees agree with Ben on vital points.)
But as he said in the interview, he had to work hard just to deprogram himself from all the misinfo he learned in his science classes before he could figure out what is really going on.
He originally wanted to become a weatherman, so that has been a main interest all along.
He is a speed reader and retains what he reads very well, and is also very good at connecting the dots of scientific data from many fields to arrive at conclusions that make perfect sense.
He's also doing a great job of creating a thriving Prepper community in Colorado.
