Default Do 6 companies really control what you see, read, watch and listen to in the media...?

Apparently, in 1983, 50 companies controlled the media in the USA, and 2011, it was 6. Curious as to how many you think now control it half way through 2019?

Will the media suppress Epstein's antics and all his hangers on or will there be a massive washout or draining of the swamp and public dump of names, events and real dodgy dealings?

Or do you think we just being fed enough to divert us from an other agenda unfolding quietly in the background right in front of us whilst we are served many portions of misdirection away from what's really going on.

curious to your thoughts as to who is controlling the media, and what the current agenda may be...

One picture says it all in Canada monopoly communication.

Old video, but absolutely 'on topic' giving what's happening right now.

The number in the US is now 5.

    From Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concen...edia_ownership

    United States

Over time the amount of media merging has increased and the number of media outlets has increased. As a result, fewer companies now own more media outlets, increasing the concentration of ownership. In 1983, 90% of US media was controlled by 50 companies; as of 2011, 90% was controlled by just 6 companies and in 2017 the number was 5.

With the acquisition of Fox by Disney earlier this year, this chart is out-of-date.

    Canada

Canada has the biggest concentrated TV ownership out of all the G8 countries and comes in second place for the most concentrated television viewers. A Senate report expressed particular concern about the concentration of ownership in the province of New Brunswick, where the Irving business empire owns all the English-language daily newspapers and most of the weeklies. Senator Joan Fraser, author of the report, stated, "We didn't find anywhere else in the developed world a situation like the situation in New Brunswick."

It is interesting to note that Quebec stands out with a Francophone market held in minority by the Quebecor group. Most newspapers in Quebec are independent. The group Medias Capitales as well as La Presse and Le Devoir are private property. However the giant BCE (Bell Media) owned 40% by Thomson Reuters and 20% by Rupert Murdoch. Bell Media owns 30 local television stations led by CTV, Canada's highest-rated television network; 30 specialty channels, including leading specialty services TSN and RDS. Bell Media is Canada's largest radio broadcaster, with 215 music channels including 109 licensed radio stations in 58 markets across the country, all part of the iHeartRadio brand and streaming service. Bell Media owns Astral, an out-of-home advertising network of more than 30,000 faces in five provinces. Bell Media also operates more than 200 websites; video streaming services including Crave, TSN Direct, and RDS Direct français; and multi-channel network Much Studios. The company owns a stake in Pinewood Toronto Studios; is a partner in Just for Laughs in Montréal, the live comedy event and TV producer; and owns Dome Productions Inc. BCE owns also The Source stores.

For all those in Avalon who do not know what is happening with my sister province New Brunswick. Know that in Canada we have our kinds of Rothchild and other t ... de c..

An interesting podcast about what our friendly neighbors and the monopoly of the Irving family. I remember the scandal and the suppression in the NB media/press about the ''glyphosate ''

I think, the concentration of some activities by big companies, and their " multi nationality " condition, allow their Heads to be more well protect to ilegal, immoral and anti ethical moves, because the laws at one place may be more flexible than others, although the companies are the same everywhere.

that way, an eventual local punisment " by guillotine " never can cut their Heads and killing them, at all.
