I mean no ill will Bill (hah!) and I thank you for all you've done but I've noticed multiple posts of yours in this thread that are doing not much other than spreading fear. That is the last thing we need be doing right now.

A little about me you may well not know. (And I truly don't mean this harshly: you may very well not know much about me.)

I'm a trained and professionally certified Mountaineering Instructor. I've led many parties in mountains, including enthusiastic novices. I've climbed in teams or with partners all over the world, including the Himalayas.

My job in that role is to safeguard everyone. And that involves always being aware of potential risk and danger, which often aren't too far away. Weather, avalanches, rockfalls, swollen rivers to cross, nightfall, and much else.

But I'm never afraid in the mountains. The last time I was afraid was in the circumstances I shared in this story, when I was just 26.

I'd be honored if you'd read it. It was a formative incident for me.

My fear (sheer blind terror, actually) somehow didn't stop me from managing to do the right thing to save my friend's life. (And it was a close call, by seconds, but we both emerged 100% unscathed.)

The reason I'm not afraid these days is because I know what the heck I'm doing and have a lot of experience. I take what many would consider to be 'risks', but I also take great care all the time.

In all these many years, I've never had the tiniest injury to myself or anyone I've been climbing with. Barely a scratch. In that world, where people get badly hurt or killed all the time, that's a testimony I'm proud of.

That's because I pay close attention to reality. If you try to cross a busy highway, and a huge Mack 18 wheeler is bearing down on you going too fast to stop, and you stand there, close your eyes and say: "There is no truck! There is no truck! There is no truck!" ... it'll hit you anyway. Best open your eyes and get out of the way!

Morning Fox / to suggest that Bill Ryan isn't very intelligent is a bit of an affront to me, and Im sure many here in light of the wealth of information and breath of the topics Bill has presented and spoken on over many years.

And to add to this something conspiratorial in the direction of Bill being" compromised "seems a bit much ? Compromised by who? Can you give some reasoning for an assertion like that?

Whenever I hear someone accusing another of spreading fear, I think what they really mean is: Don't scare me with facts.

I know the first adjustment reaction is denial, but this is only another reason why facts need to be spread in spite of fear reactions. This virus/event/whatever-you-want-to-call-it has spread enough that we don't have to compare to anything but itself. People are being affected at exponential rates. You must understand the exponents. It's not just about deaths, it's about hospitalizations.

And it's also about official reactions. When the officials are reacting (placing restrictions, quarantines, etc.) at an exponential rate, you need to be prepared.

If you leave out either one of those parts (hospitalizations and healthcare vs government restrictions) you are leaving it out at your own detriment. Some of us are responsible for others beside ourselves and cannot take that risk.

Yep - We always see both sides of the extremes, ie: denial/"positive thinking" <--------->intense fear/"negative thinking". It's like the two ends of the normal curve. Just leads us right back to the very important concept of Balance.
My belief is that Balance is, well... everything.

Just a pause to wonder: What about the next one? Does everything keep getting shut down--each time?

This really puzzles me too. Why not just send out the ballots? Why not do a mail in election? This is a piece of the puzzle that isn't making sense. The governments response and lack of response is going to be very interesting. In the US if there is no presidential election does that mean Trump stays in office indefinitely. That would not be pleasing to the deep state.

Remember that thing about the book "The Last President" the Baron Trump story. Kind of gives me the creeps.

this Virus has allegedly had bits of the HIV virus added. We do not know what characteristics the inserted sequences confer, however a characteriestic of HIV is rapid mutation...

Here is a video from Mike Adams. It is a video on prepping and being prepared. Take it as you will, but I am glad I am not flat footed or unprepared, for this or anything else really. Hope he's wrong and it all peters out in the warm months. I guess if it doesn't we'll have fairly good certainty it IS a bioweapon and we are going to be off to the races.

Being a fairly new member, somehow I had expectations that this forum was different.

Given that the rest of the internet only deals with one subject currently, we also seemed to have succumbed to the virus. No place to surf without being overrun with Covid19 news.

I am going to self-insulate my mind for 14 days and see what happens.....

You are free to approach information or stay away. That is what I love about this forum. Free will is our original truth IMO and what we are exploring in life.

I have a brother who undertook a road trip cross country and has heard absolutely nothing about the subject except what I told him. Then he decided he'd rather continue his journey because he is a free person.

This really puzzles me too. Why not just send out the ballots? Why not do a mail in election? This is a piece of the puzzle that isn't making sense. I agree with you that this give the creeps. However, IMO it will galvanize many to a rage great enough to stir the pot of complacency. I am really curious about how this will blow back if it is a planned take down. I feel there is a deep well of strength that most never tap into unless challenged. How this will go, only time will tell?

Well, first off, it's the Guardian, yawn. Then who knows what the German paper is.

It could be, and probably is, a spin on Trump simply offering lots of financial support to get the vaccine done and available. "Excusive Rights" it probalby one line in the paperwork related to securing Trumps money.

To me, this thread has been the very opposite of fear. I come to Avalon to learn people thoughts, opinions, observations and research in a thoughtful and respectful forum. No one is forcing me to read this and as Bill pointed out, there are many threads on many topics. I feel less fear when I have information from multiple sources and many locations to consider and process.. if someone perceives this as fear-mongering, I would respectfully disagree. I appreciate many of the perspectives I have encountered on this unique time.

I live in Australia and this is being discussed on the government level aswell, on the same day. I’m deeply suspicious around this sort of co-incidence.
