There have been several social media references to the 2011 Matt Damon film Contagion. I saw it years ago, but didn't enjoy it quite as much as the 1995 Dustin Hoffman film Outbreak.

So I thought it might be instructive to watch Contagion again, and I've just started in. OMG. Not an exact match, of course (the virus in the movie has a higher fatality rate) but there's a whole bunch of parallels.

Here it is: the first download is available till 5 February, and second till 11 February.

    It's almost like this pandemic is following the one in the movie;
actually very strange to watch it.

    The movie was from 2011
The lead investigator was named Mears.
    MERS broke out in 2012.

As per the death rate of the current epidemic:

Kudlow on FBN right now says Chinese have invited the CDC to the mainland to assist and a team is being readied. He also said that “the Chinese have thousands of people dying."

Lawrence Kudlow - Director of the National Economic Council under President Donald Trump since 2018.

He walks us through the math here, showing how if the coronavirus follows its current geometric growth, over 100 million people could be infected by the end of February.

Don't take today's lack of 'news' as meaning the threat from this virus is dying down. This is very likely just the calm before the storm."

Im posting this as a point of interest, from Jim Stone, and something to keep our eyes on.

There's a study (posted link below) that states that the virus predominantly implants on Asian males only. Even then, the lethality is not very high but the fact that it is indeed race specific, and that it is known about, is more than interesting.

Here's a basic summary of what it says:

It claims that chinese males have a type of lung cell that the virus can implant in, in much higher amounts than any other group of people. It is a matter of simple genetic variance, and the types of cells people have in their lungs based on their race. All races have the type of cells the virus will implant in, but Chinese males have it at a ratio 5 times higher than other groups. The study predicted a 15 percent mortality rate but as we now know, it is very likely to not be higher than 3 percent, even in Asian males.

The study is interesting primarily because it does imply that whatever happened in China may have been a bio weapon that missed.

    https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1....919985v1.full

This could also. possibly, explain the part of the virus that the scientists had not seen before. Was it the RA? I can't find the posts on this thread where that report was posted, but, if this was a manufactured bio-weapon that would be a very good reason why that part of the strain had not been seen before, the part that targets a specific race.

It all has a very strange feeling about it. If true, quite frightening.

Excellent video. I agree, we should follow these updates every day.

Chris Martenson lists a number of important points. Most disconcerting is the mathematical forecast (assuming continuing levels of [un]containment) of 115 million cases in 30 days, 23 million of them serious.

Same. Total numbers I've seen are 170 fatalities; 133 recoveries Assuming that all these cases are from those severe enough to be hospitalized (cause how do you know they officially recovered otherwise?), does this mean that 56% of the hospitalized cases result in death?! Someone please check my math!

This is extremely concerning to me personally. My husband is Chinese and just turned 50, so if true, this puts him at a much higher risk. And then I wonder about my 4 sons. How do their biracial genetics (I'm white) apply?

BUT, this study had a VERY small sample size. Only one male Asian donor! Still, it makes me think back to the Anglo-Saxon Mission[/I][/I], so I'm really hoping that researchers pursue this a bit more and give us some updated and broadened studies!

Exercising some sensible restraint with material provision for the Library, as this really is so very important, I've created a dedicated folder called: http://avalonlibrary.net/Coronavirus_(Wuhan_2019-nCov)/ where I'll place any information that may be helpful, or pertinent, regarding this (with further thanks to The Moss Trooper for this paper)

Here's Chris Martenson interviewing John M. Barry, who wrote The Great Influenza - The story of the deadliest pandemic in history. A download link is below.

Barry tells Martenson, referring to the possibility of asymptomatic transmission (i.e. being infectious before having developed any symptoms):
"If that's the case, there's no possibility of containing this, I don't think."
This interview was 3 days ago, which means it's almost already out of date. But the historical information presented here is well worth being aware of.

    Hello BIll,
Please consider that this is happening in the same time where the US is doing all to provoke a war in the Middle east: first by assassinating Suleiman and now with the "Insult of the Century" to the Palestinians and all who support them.

Greetings folks. In Australia the government seems to play down the Coronavirus threat a little. It claimed that the virus will not be transmitted until the carrier got symptoms. Also the prime minister asked for emergency power two days ago.
Is everything now a play by the Anglo Saxon Mission, just belated?
    “China will catch a cold”
Lawrence, a very warm welcome to the forum.

(Reference: here's the The Anglo-Saxon Mission thread)
    1. It's NOT the case that the virus can be transmitted only when the carrier has symptoms. That's already known and established. This is one reason why those who've just been evacuated from China are under quarantine for 14 days.
    2. Re the Anglo-Saxon Mission, too early to tell... it's a little eerie, but some of the info doesn't quite fit unless the virus is largely race-specific. At the moment, it doesn't appear to be. But a lot more numbers will be needed to know if it affects all humans equally.

I watched Chris's video last night w/ my dh. I appreciated his analysis, too, and found it very concerning.

What I find alarming from this tweet is the high number or serious/critical cases.
I agree. Another alarming aspect is the relation between the relation between treated and released/fatalities:
    - 170 fatalities
    - 124 treated and released
Same. Total numbers I've seen are 170 fatalities; 133 recoveries Assuming that all these cases are from those severe enough to be hospitalized (cause how do you know they officially recovered otherwise?), does this mean that 56% of the hospitalized cases result in death?! Someone please check my math!
    rainsong,
I reached the same result. But it may be a premature conclusion, because most cases were registered within the past 5 to 7 days. It may come across as ironic or sarcastic, but: death may come quickly, while recovery takes some time. Therefore the relation between treated and released/fatalities may improve in the future.

Yep, but see my counterargument above. If we assume that some cases are from those with mild conditions, then the relationship between recovery/death among severe or critical cases will worsen.

Thank you, yes, I did consider that the timing's off and those numbers are probably not a good reflection of the actual CFA, but even if that number is twice as high as it should be, it's a concerning amount.

This was sent to me. Patent for the Corona Virus. Not sure what it means but thought I would share it.

Yes, noted here, and brought up by Alex Jones. I'm not a microbiologist! But skimming through the patent, it appears to be about a different coronavirus — the avian infectious bronchitis virus, a member of the wider coronavirus family that infects poultry. (There are many kinds of coronavirus, including the common cold.)

The coronavirus is a patented depopulation weapon patented July 23 2015. Patent number 10130701 assigned to the Pirbright Institute. I am sure they will make good money from this. First you patent the virus than the vaccine.

Here are a couple of what I feel are balanced looks at what this Corona virus actually does and the next video is about the mortality rate of this virus compared to SARS. I feel this man's approach is quite level headed and he appears to have the expertise to understand what is going on. He has done other videos on this topic but I haven't had a chance to review them.
