My preparation has been trying to get over this bad flu bug that I have contacted.

This current bug that I have has been trying to keep me down for about 3 - 4 weeks already. I have never experienced a bug like this before. I have none of the symptoms of the covid-19. Mostly chills, body aches, lots of sleeping and lack of strength.

What it has done is brought all of the things to fight a flu bug to the very forefront of my mind. I know that I still have a lot of things to do in this life so I do not expect to leave this place anytime soon.

Having learned of covid-19 when we did, I was already stocking up on items - but having done so early on, we had to re-supply. The good thing that I see is that the stores in our area do not seem to be running low on items.

With a large family, extra things can go much quicker than expected. Keeping kids from helping themselves when you have raised them to be self reliant in many ways is tougher than many might think.

We are also lucky at this time as we home school our kids. We live in a rural area, yet close enough to the city for ease of access. However, our lively hood is already being affected by the cancellation of projects due fears of the virus.

So much fear has been projected - of course the reality of such a virus must be acknowledged. It would be interesting to see the result of the affects of this virus in terms of "fear vs reality".

    Got this to pass along:
The new NCP coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days, how can one know if he/she is infected. By the time they have fever and/or cough and goes to the hospital, the lungs is usually 50 % Fibrosis and it's too late! Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning: Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stuffiness or tightness, etc.,it proves there is no fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicating no infection. In critical times, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air. SERIOUS EXCELLENT ADVICE by Japanese Doctors treating COVID-19 cases: Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat is moist, never DRY. Take a few sips of water every 15 mins at least. WHY? Even if the virus gets into your mouth...drinking water or other liquids will WASH them down through your esophagus into the stomach. Once there in tummy...your stomach ACID will kill all the virus. If you don't drink enough water more regularly....the virus can enter your windpipes and into the LUNGS. That's very dangerous.

I would also recommend (again) cleaning teeth and mouth several times a day, especially after returning from outside no matter whether you wear a face mask 😷
Not to forget about gargling with diluted pharmacy grade (3%) hydrogen peroxide (one cap in half glass water) and/or natural herbal gargles that help to liquify and relieve mucus accumulated in various throat and nasal cavities and along the trachea down to lungs.

Shower or bath with warm water and keep spitting and cleaning all the mucus accumulated in you. If you do this regularly you will notice improvement in your breathing.

Make sure you get enough “fresh air”, potentially oxygen everyday. I’ve noticed thousands of people in civilised European countries living in almost tightly sealed rooms, houses and apartments running in hypoxic environments especially during winter. In these rather warm but low oxygen environments body and brain biorhythms are suppressed and most organs operate on low function including lungs, thus they are vulnerable and prone to infections.
Large percentage of respiratory diseases in cities occur in young children and non smokers despite the bad adverts because urban population live under bubble of various noble gases and chemicals.

So no matter what we do we are still floating in the same “chemical soup” together with trillions of microbes.

Above all, thanks and good luck

    🙏

I'm a doctor and an Infectious Diseases Specialist. I've been at this for more than 20 years seeing sick patients on a daily basis. I have worked in inner city hospitals and in the poorest slums of Africa. HIV-AIDS, Hepatitis,TB, SARS, Measles, Shingles, Whooping cough, Diphtheria...there is little I haven't been exposed to in my profession. And with notable exception of SARS, very little has left me feeling vulnerable, overwhelmed or downright scared.

I am not scared of Covid-19. I am concerned about the implications of a novel infectious agent that has spread the world over and continues to find new footholds in different soil. I am rightly concerned for the welfare of those who are elderly, in frail health or disenfranchised who stand to suffer mostly, and disproportionately, at the hands of this new scourge. But I am not scared of Covid-19.

What I am scared about is the loss of reason and wave of fear that has induced the masses of society into a spellbinding spiral of panic, stockpiling obscene quantities of anything that could fill a bomb shelter adequately in a post-apocalyptic world. I am scared of the N95 masks that are stolen from hospitals and urgent care clinics where they are actually needed for front line healthcare providers and instead are being donned in airports, malls, and coffee lounges, perpetuating even more fear and suspicion of others. I am scared that our hospitals will be overwhelmed with anyone who thinks they " probably don't have it but may as well get checked out no matter what because you just never know..." and those with heart failure, emphysema, pneumonia and strokes will pay the price for overfilled ER waiting rooms with only so many doctors and nurses to assess.

I am scared that travel restrictions will become so far reaching that weddings will be canceled, graduations missed and family reunions will not materialize. And well, even that big party called the Olympic Games...that could be kyboshed too. Can you even
    imagine?

I'm scared those same epidemic fears will limit trade, harm partnerships in multiple sectors, business and otherwise and ultimately culminate in a global recession.

But mostly, I'm scared about what message we are telling our kids when faced with a threat. Instead of reason, rationality, openmindedness and altruism, we are telling them to panic, be fearful, suspicious, reactionary and self-interested.

Covid-19 is nowhere near over. It will be coming to a city, a hospital, a friend, even a family member near you at some point. Expect it. Stop waiting to be surprised further. The fact is the virus itself will not likely do much harm when it arrives. But our own behaviors and "fight for yourself above all else" attitude could prove disastrous.

I implore you all. Temper fear with reason, panic with patience and uncertainty with education. We have an opportunity to learn a great deal about health hygiene and limiting the spread of innumerable transmissible diseases in our society. Let's meet this challenge together in the best spirit of compassion for others, patience, and above all, an unfailing effort to seek truth, facts and knowledge as opposed to conjecture, speculation and catastrophizing.

Facts not fear. Clean hands. Open hearts.
Our children will thank us for it.

I would strongly support this doctors voice, the voice of reason.

The price we are currently paying in medical and sanitation expenses is not bigger than the price of our carelessness.

I’ve been to many places around the world if only in last decade or two and most of all I’m observer to the transformation of our respective cultures and environments.

Prague used to be rather peaceful and clean town when I was a kid,one of historical capitals of Europe for many centuries, landmark of intertwining cultures and influences for thousands of years, along natural river curves surrounded by 7 hills ( quite like San Francisco in CA).
So was London and other old European cities, pleasant to inhabit. So was Kathmandu.

Following sharp increase in the numbers of automobiles, motorcycles, vans and the rest, all of the above places are dirty and overwhelmed,
not because the “number of humans” but because these hot smelly engines, iron cages filling about every road, avenue and corner,
around piles of garbage that can not be contained

    without proper action.

I’ve seen the level of waste accumulated in streets of Europe reached to the level of so called “third world countries” who did not have waste management till about recently.

Don’t blame my eyes can see 🙏

Walking around shops full of products that won’t be bought in most cases anyway, thousands of stores and millions of products.
The residue of which is piling right behind the corner.

Does it have anything to do with “being religious” or is it just plain old being lazy and careless ?

Because we will be paying for our carelessness for as long as it takes. We will be paying for the carelessness of people we left living in slams, in the streets and under bridges who host good millions of microbes for free.

It’s the call of the time for a civilised entity to discern corn from the chuffs and life from death,
knowledge and wisdom from prejudice and convictions.

Levels of uneducation in many areas pertaining to human biology and sanity are still ginormous so are the levels of poverty even if not openly disclosed.

Whether you call them artificial reasons or not, they have to be remedied by intelligent action. With better education and information at hand people can’t fool each other so easily.

Of all things, be with your heart 🙏🌟🙏please ❤️ realise that we are all part of each other and this world for little flip of space time ..
and suffering of one is suffering of all.

Till the principles of humanity are not well understood the state of humanity itself can’t be achieved, individual realisations in that matter are thus only partial and incomplete bearing partial results.
If we agree to it being “always the same”, the principle locks in itself and does not allow “planetary ascension”.

Agreeing to some good measures of moderation and self containment I think we are getting there though

    Please don’t give up

    🙏🌟🙏

My herbal group was literally just talking about this. This is some of the replies:
Quote I have seen several references to this article. From what I understand, and from what I have heard other more experienced herbalists report, there is no evidence that elderberry causes a cytokine storm.

There are no reported cases of this happening. Elderberry does simulate the inflammatory response, but it is also anti-inflammatory. Also, it appears that studies were conducted on sambucol, not whole elderberry, so therefor its not an applicable study.

Also from what I have read, there are no reported cases of actual, observed cytokine storms related to Coronavirus... it’s all merely conjecture at this point.

But I am still doing more research so I could be wrong.
    Also

Quote This is one of those controversial things where: you show me 3 herbalists who say not to use elderberry and I’ll show you 5 who say you can and should.

As Stephen Buhner stated, and has doubled down on his FB, elderberry is an immune modulator meaning is regulates the response as needed.

I think this thinking has been tempered with the caveat that one could use the elderberry until such a time that the virus takes a turn then stop using.
The world is changed... I feel it in the water... I feel it in the earth... I smell it in the air...
Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.

It's interesting that you would say that. I have not used elderberry, but in my case, I noticed a difference in illnesses starting in the 1980's. In those days I used simple remedies like peppermint tea, echinacea and golden seal. I was proud of my good health. I felt I could lick whatever came my way.

In the 80's I started to have cold and flu type illnesses that I did not remember having before. I bought immune enhancers, The Wellness Formula, etc., and it was all good. I thought something had changed. though, in the kinds of illnesses going around.

In the present day. I don't tend to buy immune enhancers. My intuition is that it would be counter productive for some of the flu-like illnesses going around. I use homeopathy or antibiotics like grapefruit seed extract. I am sure there is a vast range of substances that work, but when I see a product now that says "enhance your immune system!", I don't buy it.

I have followed Peak Prosperity for awhile and so I am stocked up with a deep pantry. This morning stopped by local health food market for fresh bread- a total panic buy was in motion- people with carts filled and a palpable sense of fear in the air.

Would like to remind all of us with meditation and grounding spiritual practices of any sort to hold space and pray for others and for all species during this time. The fear and anxiety generated by humans in distress can be food for some of the parasitical entities. The mental environment and vibrational energy we create is totally within our control.Spiritual preparation and discernment is equally as important as physical preparation. Peace and good health to you all.

    Looked for and found this:

    Ingredients for Homemade Hand Sanitizer

2/3rd cup of 99% rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol

1/3rd cup of aloe vera gel

8-10 drops of an essential oil, optional (such as lavender, vanilla, peppermint, grapefruit)

Mix the ingredients in a bowl and stir with a spoon. Use a funnel to pour the liquid into an empty pump/squirt bottle.
All the above is all and only my opinion - all subject to change and not meant to be true for anyone else regardless of how I phrase it.

What did I do today? Something more people should be doing, lots of Qigong!

Quote "White blood cells increased significantly 2 hours after actual Qi-training (p < 0.05) but not sham training compared with pre-intervention There were significant increases in lymphocytes 2 hours after actual but not sham Qi-training (p < 0.05) and monocyte numbers were significantly increased immediately after both actual Qi-training (p < 0.01) and sham training (p < 0.05)."

While my wife and I do have the other home remedies and supplements that many use, in my work I've honestly encountered many who took supplements/vitamins and such religiously, but were still loaded down with sick Qi and a resulting weak immune system.

I looked up how to make a mustard plaster. My mother trained as a nurse in the 60s and said that mustard plasters were still being used in hospitals (and in homes, of course) when she was a student to deal with serious chest colds, pneumonia, bronchitis, etc. She said they were really quite effective for breaking up congestion and infection in the chest.

There are many articles and videos about how to make mustard plasters. The proportions of mustard powder to flour vary from 'recipe' to recipe. I have also seen recipes where coconut flour was used instead of wheat flour, and where corn starch was used in addition to wheat flour. Some instructions recommend applying a thin layer of oil (e.g., olive oil) to the skin before applying the plaster. Some recommend topping the plaster with a dampened towel.

Here is one example of how to make a mustard plaster.

I ordered some (more) Camphor Essential Oil - still have a bit left in a bottle that I used last December -

To use in a steam inhalation -

I think I might have had 'it' starting early last December and before anything was being said about coronavirus I was saying that I felt like I'd been hit with a biological weapon - worse sore throat I'd ever had in my life - gruff voice could hardly speak - EXTREME dizziness for two or three days - then the cough from hell... you have to cough and cough up the phlegm and gunk off the lungs before it has chance to lie around and turn into a bacterial infection (IMO) - I had camphor oil in so used that in the steam to encourage coughing all the gunk up - and when I rechecked on it's properties it was a very good thing to use...

so I'm getting some more and think I will use it as a preventative as well as it said somewhere that (among other things) it can kill viruses..

edit to add.... it is said that the Coronavirus begins with a DRY cough but I think that although it might begin a bit dry the lungs will soon start getting tight and sticky with phlegm as the body tries to clear out the offending virus... and like I said before I think it's important to clear out the lungs all the time even though it's exhausting to do that - so it doesn't develop into pneumonia -

I wonder if I can grind up mustard seeds to make this?
Any other ideas for a good respiratory plaster?
