Has anyone noticed that the shrillest, most over the top overreactions to the pandemic have come from:

Canada
Australia
and of course New Zealand

To me, amidst so many bad examples, these three have stood out. In part because the contrast between the levels of virus there and the actions of the govt have been so much out of proportion, especially for the antipodean countries, but also because they all had such a strong history of liberalism. Although they had their dark underbelly, they were amongst the last places to expect authoritarianism to spring up so stridently.

I just discovered that I can still book a flight from the US to Aukland. That defies any logic, but why would I expect any from any of these regimes.

They have adopted a zero Covid stance. How in the hell can they live in such natural beauty and be so disconnected from reality? Absolutely mind boggling. Of course, all non essential business must be closed.

Revolver Exclusive: Navy Commander Warns of National Security Threat from Mandatory Vaccination

An officer with the U.S. Navy is warning of a full-blown “national security threat” if the military moves ahead with its planned universal COVID-19 vaccination mandate, in a paper obtained exclusively by Revolver News.

In a memorandum released on Monday, Biden Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced his intention to require a COVID-19 vaccination for all servicemembers by mid-September, or immediately should any COVID vaccines clear FDA approval (the vaccines are currently only authorized for emergency use). Servicemen who refuse to submit to the vaccine will potentially face court martials, prison time, and even less-than-honorable discharge from the service.

If that plan goes ahead, though, CDR J.H. Furman warns the results could conceivably be catastrophic.

“The forced vaccination of all military personnel with the present COVID-19 vaccines may compromise U.S. national security due to the unknown extent of serious vaccine complications,”writes Furman. “Further study is needed before committing the Total Force to one irreversible experimental group. Initial reports leave more concern for the COVID-19 vaccinations than the virus itself for the (at present) exceptionally healthy military population.”

Furman is a career United States naval officer, naval aviator, and foreign area officer with extensive experience advising senior military, diplomatic, and international organization leadership. The commander has spent years serving throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East at sea, ashore and airborne. He also holds a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Furman’s paper is not long, weighing in at just two and a half pages plus an equally long list of citations. But he nevertheless hits all the key points for why imposing COVID-19 vaccines on the entire general populace is driven by hysteria, not real concern for saving lives or stamping out the virus.

This is happening right now in Hong Kong too. It is allowed that a fully vaccinated person from US can shorten the quarantine to 7 days. One such woman was found to be positive after the quarantine. The government is making a big fuss out of this and will be announcing more draconian measures. Life becomes ever more miserable because of an invisible enemy. They don't even bother to tell you if the woman has severe symptoms or not. So possibly one asymptomatic or mild case is enough to shut down everything again. And all the people are sleeping.

I'm wondering if it might have something to do with 'space'.

Both oz & nz are remote - a long distance away from the crammed shores of the other continents, and oz is vast in size.
Canada, while not remote is also vast in size.
Both oz & canada have great mineral wealth.

I'm wondering if there's this concentrated focus because the intention is to be sure to wipe out the population and destroy the economy in order to create a carte blanche for the ... (whatevers)... to move in and claim.

All 3 are very desirable pieces of real estate, oz particularly. I understand that oz is also relatively geologically stable and half of the east coast is protected from tsunami threat by the great barrier reef, a coast line that's a couple of thousand k's in length.

Finally re all 3: the population is small. comfortable. and the level cognitive dissonance capability is probably great (ie "the government would NEVER do that!") because say unlike the french, we've never experienced this type of level of wicknedness before, from either government or aristocracy. We're sitting ducks.

Also note of course, all 3 are COMMONWEALTH countries.

My 2cents worth.

I'm starting to suspect that such a stupid stance, using such draconian measures, is in order to attempt to deliver a 'fast blow'.

I wonder if 'they' feel they're racing against time and 'they' simply want to strip these landmasses (oz & nz) of dissenters and/or people all together, so 'they' can move in, unopposed. What if these 2 places are 'their' designated 'bug out' places???

Risking an interpretation here on Diana's behalf, I think she means that we just have to learn to live with covid (not the 'vaccinations'!) — just as we live with flu, the common cold, and a whole bunch of maladies that are much more serious.

On a related theme — though I've NOT watched this yet — here's Chris Martenson's latest video, just a few hours old, pointing out that "the pandemic is over", and "it's time to let go of fear".

So while covid (which is real, and people can get sick from it) is just something we have to live with — which is the actual "new normal" — it's the global reaction to it, the way it's being used, and the agenda-driven propaganda that are the issues here. NOT the virus itself.

We now know how to (a) defend ourselves against it, and (b) treat it. Just as we do with a whole range of other things that surround us.
