"Former Chinese leader #JiangZemin has died. How did the man use America to lay the stepping stones for #Beijing’s global ambitions? And how much blood is on his hands?

“Free China! Xi Jinping Step Down!”—Demonstrators in the United States and Canada are showing support for protesters in China.

#Demonstrations in China are escalating, with riot police now deployed to quell the gatherings. To calm the crowds, authorities say they’ll ease COVID-19 restrictions—slightly.

South Dakota is taking action against TikTok. Its state employees are banned from using government devices to access the short video platform.

The Pentagon responds to Beijing’s nuclear ambition.

The Chinese Communist Party moves in military forces to gain control of the protests. World Leaders in Canada and the UK issue statements, but where is Joe Biden? The Chinese Totalitarian regime emerges, with drones warning citizens to stay inside. We discuss the Chinese Social Credit Score and the outsourcing of Chinese technology around the world.

"The aftermath of the ongoing protests rears its ugly head exactly how we predicted. Secret police tracking down all of the protesters, and finding them at home. Not only that, the media runs with the myth that zero covid is relaxing, while people in China tell us a very different story."

Strong Western Support for Anti-Lockdown Protests in China Can Bring Down the CCP: Expert
By Steve Lance and Hannah Ng
    December 1, 2022
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/strong...BpAcJI6i664%3D

"If they garner considerable support from the West, the COVID-19 protesters in China can bring down the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), according to anti-communist activist and researcher Trevor Loudon.

“If the people on the ground in China have significant support from the West, they will carry this on and we could see the end of the CCP,” Loudon said in an interview with NTD, sister media outlet of The Epoch Times, on Nov 29.

Loudon is also a contributor to The Epoch Times and hosts the “CounterPunch” program on EpochTV.

“This is too good a chance to miss,” he said, noting that the voice of support has not been strong enough.

“The problem is so many of our political leaders are so compromised by the CCP, that the criticism was either very muted or not at all,” he said.

Loudon pointed to two new books he recently released, “Security Risk Senators” Parts I and II, detailing the ties of 30 sitting U.S. senators to the CCP, Iran, Cuba, and local communist movements.

These books, he said, offer shocking evidence of how these senators, which Loudon called “security risks,” are deeply compromised.

    Way Beyond COVID-19

The widespread public demonstration erupting in China is “way beyond COVID,” according to Loudon.

“I think it is bigger. … This is destroying the whole CCP narrative, that the people are on board with the CCP’s agenda and they’ve accepted that this is the best way to go,” he said.

His view is echoed by John Moody, former Fox News executive vice president and author of the new book “The World We Wish,” which takes a dramatic look at the CCP from various perspectives.

In a Nov. 28 interview with NTD, Moody called the massive protests “unprecedented since the days of Tiananmen Square.”

“I think that Xi Jinping, the ultimate leader of China, may have misunderstood the support that he has among regular Chinese people when he put himself in for a third five-year term as ultimate leader. … He has now opened up himself as the only target in which you can express unhappiness,” Moody contended.

In Moody’s opinion, Xi, who is the CCP leader and also its military leader, bears sole responsibility for stringent zero-COVID policies put in place in China, the catalyst for the public discontent.

“You can’t blame the local party leader because the local party leader is doing what he or she is being told. You can’t blame the medical authorities because they’re afraid of the Communist Party,” Moody added. “The Communist Party is Xi Jinping. Xi Jinping is the party, and the party is China.”

    Bring Down the CCP
Loudon sees the mass marches as “an actual push back against the CCP,” and hopes that it will rock the Chinese regime and China.

“That people would risk their lives, they would get out on the streets, risk their lives against one of the world’s most totalitarian regimes, tells me they are true believers. They’ve had enough of the suppression, of the lies, of the executions, of the persecution, of the Maoist mass line that’s been enforced. And they see this as their shot for freedom,” he said.

“You have to be pretty darn desperate to get out on the streets and confront the CCP when you know that you’re putting your life at risk and the lives of your family at risk,” he added.

Loudon further called for more intense support from the West so that the ultimate goal of bringing down the CCP can be achieved.

“We should be cheering these people on and offering them every bit of moral and political, economic support we can muster, because their fight is our fight,” he said. “We can bring down the CCP. That won’t just be good for us, it’ll be good for everybody, the people of China, the people all around the world.”

“Imagine the end of the CCP,” Loudon said. “It’d be like the end of the Nazi party, only even better.” "

Similarily, I believe most people would not want the good poeple of China or any country "to burn". That is a very insensitive remark.

This is a somewhat more balanced, I find, short read about China and what is happening there, than what the weighty pages in the business and world affairs press carry.

"The country was a dystopia before, now it is something different – It is an experiment in technocratic tyranny that is being taken to the extreme. China is willing to starve, arrest, beat and even kill people who they claim they are trying to protect from the virus. It is no mistake that nearly every policy China is implementing is a direct copy of policies suggested by the WEF and institutions like the Imperial College of London back in 2020 at the start of the outbreak."

A Responsibility to Use Our Freedoms on Behalf of Those Who Are Denied Them': Benedict Rogers
    China in Focus - NTD
    702K subscribers
16,428 views Premiered 21 hours ago

"In this special episode, we sat down with Benedict Rogers, co-founder and chief executive of Hong Kong Watch and author of "The China Nexus." He sheds light on the protests happening across China, the human rights abuses in the country, and how the Chinese regime’s influence has spread into free countries too.

Rogers said: "The protests are extremely significant. I think they're the most significant protests that we have seen in China since the Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989. There have, of course, been other protests in the intervening years, but mostly, the protests until now have been focused on a specific issue and a lot of them had been focused on labor rights. This is the first time in many years that we have seen such widespread, large-scale protests across so many cities where ... people are not shouting 'end the zero-COVID policy' or 'end the COVID lockdowns,' even though those were the things that sparked the protests, but they are chanting 'Xi Jinping, step down,' 'CCP, step down,' and 'we want freedom and democracy.' And I think that's hugely significant because it tells us that, contrary to what the CCP would like us to believe, the people of China have not actually been indoctrinated by the CCP."

Rogers also noted that the Chinese regime's influence isn't only within the country's own borders, but rather, "the influence is really extensive and pervasive across many sectors. So we see it in the higher education sector in universities, the use of Confucius Institutes as propaganda outlets for the CCP, the intimidation of Hong Kong or Uyghur or Tibetan students in our university campuses, the weaponization of funding to influence universities. We see it in Wall Street, in Hollywood, in politics."

"It's pretty extensive. And I think all our countries in the free world need to wake up to it," he added.

Rogers reminds us of the price of being free, saying: "I feel that those of us who have freedom have a responsibility not to take it for granted, but actually to cherish it, to protect it, and to use our freedoms on behalf of those who are denied them." "

Apple aiding Beijing in suppressing anti-Xi Jinping protests
Friday, December 02, 2022 by: Ramon Tomey

Technology giant Apple was found to be aiding the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in suppressing protests against Chinese paramount leader Xi Jinping, further cementing its status as a company opposed to the values the U.S. stands for.

A report by Reclaim The Net elaborated on how the company founded by Steve Jobs and two others assisted the anti-freedom actions of Beijing. It cited how Apple restricted the use of the AirDrop file sharing tool in mainland China and Hong Kong. Mainland-based protesters use the tool to spread protest literature, while their counterparts in the special administrative region use it to communicate with other protesters, bystanders and tourists from the mainland.

However, a recent update on the iOS platform restricted the duration of time that users can receive files – from indefinite to 10 minutes. The iOS update initially applied to mainland China alone, but Apple later added that it will roll out the 10-minute restriction on AirDrop in other countries next year.

Protesters opposing China’s draconian health measures against the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), and Xi by extension, prompted the use of AirDrop as it uses direct connections between devices. The file-sharing tool enabled protesters to communicate without the risk of being censored.

However, the iOS update’s timing amid the biggest protests China has seen in more than three decades raised many questions.

According to Reclaim The Net, this was not the first time the tech company yielded to the demands of the CCP.

“Apple has helped Beijing to suppress public dissent multiple times, mostly by complying with its requests to remove apps used by protesters for information and communication,” it wrote. “Apple also helps the CCP prevent users from remaining private by banning virtual private networks in the region.” (Related: Apple conspires with Beijing to suppress dissent and silence the masses who are being tortured into slave labor at Apple iPhone factories.)

Tucker Carlson slams “active collaborator” Apple in scathing op-ed

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, meanwhile, blasted the Cupertino, California-based Apple for being an “active collaborator” with the CCP. In a scathing op-ed published Nov. 29, the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host stated that Apple “is in no sense American” and its loyalty “is to the government of China.”

“When iPhone users in China began using permanent AirDrop to complain about the [CCP], Apple just shut it down,” he said. “In other words, Apple is now an active collaborator with China’s murderous police state.”

According to Carlson, “Apple’s decision to side with the oppressors over the oppressed, actively help America’s enemies [and] hurt ordinary people seeking freedom” stemmed from the fact that it has been “sucking up” to the CCP “for many years.”

“Why does Apple, as a company, feel the need to cover for the CCP? Why does it feel the need to help the CCP oppress its own citizens? Those are good questions. We reached out to Apple [as we] wanted to hear their side of the story, [but we] did not hear back.”

Carlson ultimately remarked that Apple indeed “engages in large-scale secretive censorship.” He added that this is preventing American citizens from saying what they believe or getting to the truth about something while bolstering the power of one of the most repressive governments in the world.

“Always and everywhere, Apple helps the Chinese government,” he said.

I am fascinated by the full blown zero covid Chinese dystopia, how much the ccp can hate itself and its own people, unbelievable... they lock the doors of buildings so that no one can get out, people remain hungry for days, constant testing and dependence on the green code on the mobile phone to be able to study somewhere or get transport, work, the government can remotely turn on the red code for anyone and take them to one of the countless huge concentration camps with containers, complete censorship of the Internet, messages, conversations... all based on an illusion and a violent struggle for absolute control. Its demonic.
Is every mind connected to form a peer to peer network that creates the illusion of a shared reality, making the appearance of material reality a simulation created through shared beliefs?

Let it all burn. China deserves what's coming.

Many of our governments are acting without our consent, or giving us any real information of what is going on behind the scenes supposedly on our behalf.

Similarily, I believe most people would not want the good poeple of China or any country "to burn". That is a very insensitive remark.

    Thank you!

So my dad likes swimming in a nearby river, one day he called me and said: hey I just got a call from the government officials (lower level), they told me not to swim because it's dangerous, I asked him how do they know? He said there were surveillance cameras near the bridge, and they recognized his face, apparently...

“Teacher Li” said that his parents are very worried about his safety and hope that he will stop tweeting. On December 3, as soon as he tweeted, the police called his home, then they arrived at his door.
Many netizens left messages expressing concern for him and wishing him well. Some netizens pointed out that even if the comments are beyond the firewall he can still be punished. One said, “The power of the Party is beyond our imagination! Don’t look down on the CCP’s crimes.”

"In 1989, protests by students in Tiananmen Square changed the course of history — resulting in a massacre the Chinese government still denies today. Watch CNN’s coverage from on the ground that year. After the Chinese government pulled the plug on the broadcast, CNN reported by telephone and used video travelers snuck out of the country. "
