    Default The Strangest Thing Happened

I woke up this morning, and my alarm clock was gone. Just gone. Used to be on my desk. No longer there.

As far as I can tell, nothing else is missing.

My apartment door has been locked all night. No one has come or gone.

I can't tell if I'm amused or disturbed. But I am very very confused.

Mike, your story reminds me of something PK Dick talked about in one of his books.
I think it was about a light switch.

You can read a bit more about this here: http://empslocal.ex.ac.uk/people/sta...kin/PKDick.htm (14th §)

Maybe your thread "The Strangest Thing Happened" can be a good one for others to tell about similar events in their lives.

How far is your desk from your bed? Any chance you unwittingly knocked it off the desk ─ maybe by putting tension on the power cord ─ and it fell into a box, or under the desk?

    Hi Frank, good questions.

It is sort of close to my bed, but not close enough that I could knock it off.

My room is pretty small. The thing is not under my desk, or anywhere on the floor where it would have fallen had it been disturbed in some way. Not under my bed either. It's just gone. I have no explanation for it whatsoever. I am utterly perplexed

And you are certain it was still there when you went to bed last night?

Addendum: Did you have any visitors over yesterday?

My friend just asked me that question about 15 mins ago.

He asked me if I was 1000% sure it was there last night. And while I'm nearly certain it was there, I'm not 1000%.

It's one of those things you take for granted, because it's always been there. You only look at it when you have to.

However, had it not been there last night, I'd be having the same sort of questions. I know I didn't move it, so why on earth is it not on my desk where it's always been?

    - nope, no visitors

Well, sometimes I move something to another room because I'm working on something, and then I get sidetracked by something else, and I completely forget that I've moved the item in question elsewhere.

So with that in mind, is there no chance that you took the clock with you to another part of your apartment because of something you were working on, maybe earlier this week, and you forgot that you did that? Or if the clock runs on batteries ─ just to give you an example, because I don't know whether yours does ─ then maybe you took it to another room to replace the batteries and you forgot all about it because it's such a mundane thing? Or you got a phone call and you were distracted?

It is bound to be something like that, because you say your apartment door was locked, so that means that if anyone had been capable of entering your apartment and leaving again without using the door, it would by definition have been ET. And ET doesn't need any hoo-maan clocks, so he won't have bothered taking yours.

Well... Unless it was a Ferengi, because they're always looking for things to trade.

We have items disappear in our home with some regularity. Keys, watches, sugar, knifes, entire place settings.... They always turn up again, or are returned. Except the sugar. (My wife had put a several pound bag of sugar in a canister one day intending to bake the next day. When she went to get the sugar, the canister was empty. Logically she figured one of us in the house was playing a joke on her and hid it. We had not.)

Sometimes the items reappear in days or weeks. Sometimes many months later. We jokingly say we have a friendly ghost. For what it’s worth, we have captured white orbs on video on our interior security camera.

Currently, a set of keys went missing and still is. (Yes, people misplace keys, but that did not happen.) We are sure they will turn up somewhere in the house, or garage, or patio... Items have been moved from one place to another also.

Have you looked elsewhere for the clock? Look where it should not be. You may find it.

    Thanks for sharing that.

I've looked everywhere. Closely inspected the whole apartment. Looked in the fridge, the washer /dryer, under the couch, the laundry room, the pantry...you name it. This may sound nuts, but I even looked in the trunk of my car.

I have no explanation for the sugar, but when it comes to keys, knives, watches and other shiny things... Well, you live in a house with a patio, and ─ I imagine ─ a garden, possibly with some trees nearby. You probably also regularly keep your windows open for a while for ventilation. So my advice would be to look at the trees. Magpies love shiny things, and they're skilled thieves.

Loved it, Mike. I'm excited for you. Congratulations!

Yesterday, I thought about how my kitchen facet went from a drip-drip to a small stream several years ago. It was enough to video it and show to my landlady. She came up and closed the shutoffs valves under the sink and called the plumber.

Meanwhile, I went for a walk. When I returned the facet was fixed. I checked under the sink and both valves were opened. I called my landlady to thank her. She said the plumber hadn’t arrived. She insisted that he come just the same.

I told the plumber how the values were opened when I returned. I can’t recall his yabadoo explanation. Many need to hold on to their intellectual thought processes, even when/if it can’t be explained in the 3D world.

It’s been my experience that events happen for specific reason, season, time and place for you and only you. It’s you-consciousness linking up with greater consciousness.

When one is open, the world opens more and more. [inner world included]

Well first off Mike, a couple of questions:

Have you searched any and every place you could possibly have been there in the last day or so?

    We’re you drinking last night?

The reason for the first question is one time I had searched my entire house for something, out of exasperation I popped the freezer door open to take a peek, and son of a bitch there it was! To this day, whenever I’ve really misplaced something that usually goes in the same spot, car keys for example, it’s still a running joke when I finally mutter to myself “time to go check the damn freezer!”

That was a long time ago, but more recently I had misplaced my car keys, had gotten to the futile point in the search to actually check the freezer, and I only found them when I went to close the front door behind me to start looking around the yard. And there they were, hanging in the knob right there where I had left them when unlocking the front door after work!

On the more conspiratorial angle, similar to gang stalking, sometimes I wonder if there are people out there who like to mess with peoples heads like that, do weird little things in someone’s personal area that they are sure to notice, but will never figure out how or why it happened. Here’s a for instance:

Just a few weeks ago I was sitting on the picnic table watching the fish in my pond, as I do every evening after going for a walk in the woods with my dog Scooby. It’s part of my evening zen thing. This one time I’m sitting there contemplating things as usual, and I notice something shiny on the patch of hard clay right in front of me that isn’t covered with grass. I went over there, and it was a quarter stuck in there looking like it had just been uncovered by rain and erosion.

Except, it hadn’t rained recently, and I should have already seen it being slowly uncovered from sitting there every day. And then, not two feet away, there was another one the exact same way! Made me wonder if someone knows I sit right there every evening, and decided to mess with my head a bit.

Another weird one recently was I walked out front to go to work one morning, it had rained heavily overnight, and my driver side door was wide open, soaked of course. The last thing I do every night before turning in is making sure the car doors, and then house doors, are locked. Of course it’s possible I somehow not only forgot to lock it, but to also leave it wide open? I don’t know, maybe it was like finding the keys hanging in the front door, but that one was VERY highly unlikely.

So anyway, maybe you’re experiencing a Mandela Effect, maybe someone’s messing with you, maybe you for some reason put it somewhere weird and forgot about it, or...

She insisted that the he come just the same.

Well this has made me feel a little better

At best what's happened is something along the lines of what you're describing. At worst it's the beginning of some sort of satanic gang stalking LOL Jesus, I've watched too many of those videos. At first, something is strangely out of place, or something out of place appears out of nowhere...like an empty pizza box on your deck, or a full glass of water just outside your front door. Something weird. Bizarre. And then the activity ramps up until there's a bunch of goons following you into the 7-11.

You're one of the sanest, most grounded people I know. I'm going to go with your theory until proven otherwise.

As bizarre as this whole thing is, nothing else is missing as far as I can tell. I'm not harmed in any way. I feel pretty good. So I will delay my panic until other things start disappearing

Ferengi=Sanskrit for ugly. I think they use Craig's List now, as the electronic interference is more overwhelming for them than it is for us pretty, short eared, pinkskins.

    RF EMF'S, this 4G, that 5G, everywhere a GG.

Turning off all devices near sleeping areas is great. It helps loss prevention and increases memory retrieval in the wakey wakey time.

I do appreciate electrical outages in our area as I can hear the quiet easier. I just need to limit opening the fridge.

    Hey Gracy, yep good questions.

I did look in all those weird places. I too have put strange things in the freezer, like the tv remote or my keys

But those are things I handle and move on a daily basis. The thing with my alarm clock is, I never touch or move it. I have no reason to.

Was I drinking? Good question. I had one, 22oz bottle of Guinness last night. I sipped it slowly. But even if I hadn't, it would hardly matter. I'd need to drink 3 or 4 of those to even approach a state of drunkenness. When I went to bed I was sober. I laid there scrolling the net on my phone, and then I fell asleep. I drink one or two of those a week, usually on the weekend. At best I get a soft buzz. That's been my process for the last year. Nothing like this has ever happened before. So I can't say it had anything to do with that.

    Interesting story about the quarters.

Wonderful stuff. This kind of thing has never happened to me, but I've heard so many similar reports from so many people that I have no problem at all believing what you shared. (And yes, your clock may well turn up in the trunk of your car. You just have to look again next week )

Here's enough fascinating reading material to keep anyone absorbed for quite a long time:

I just got home after a day out running errands, and as I rounded the corner into my room, my greatest fear was that the alarm clock would be back on my desk. I really felt that might happen!

One of my stops was to Target, to get a new alarm clock. And as I was looking at the selection, I thought to myself, Jesus, what if this one disappears too?? lol

It's crossed my mind that there might be some symbolic or metaphorical meaning behind this whole thing. But it's hard to be casual about it when your sh!t is vanishing from 3D reality
