    Default Heart problems and arrhythmias

    Hi, Folks: this is a thread on behalf of a dear young friend. (Personally, I'm fine! )

    My friend (I'll call her Amy) is in her early 20s, and has intermittent arrhythmia with no known cause. Sometimes her pulse is just in the high normal range (like 90-100), but just won't slow down. Doctors tell her not to worry, but of course that's just what she does — and that's 100% understandable.

    Young people are supposed to be "healthy"! And of course this concerns her a great deal. Belief about one's own condition can be a powerful stressor that can (paradoxically) have a negative feedback effect on one's health. It can be hard to pull out of.

    Amy's wondering if anyone else has (or had!) these kinds of issues, and how they've handled them. She's extremely bright, reads many Avalon threads, and is open to any advice of any kind.

    She's genuinely concerned her heart might give out. I've told her that no way will that happen, but of course the worry continues. (Hearts are important! )

    ~~~
    I might be able to start by sharing something myself. (I never actually told her this, so she might be interested to read it. )
    When I was young (teens and 20s) I had frequent tachycardias. That's not just an arrhythmia: it's when the heart starts racing at 200+ per minute, but isn't pumping properly at all. It was often triggered by making a sudden movement, like quickly bending down to pick something up that I'd dropped. But sometimes it'd just turn on for no apparent reason at all.
    It'd happen every few weeks back then. Usually, it lasted only a few minutes or less, but I remember once when it just would NOT stop, and went on for hours and hours. I got really weak and cold, and just collapsed into bed. I was seriously scared I might never wake up. (But I did, of course, and everything was all magically back to normal.)
    I was so freaked out, I never even told my parents. I went to the doctor on my own, and he said it wasn't a structural malfunction at all — just an electrical heart-signal anomaly — and told me I'd grow out of it.
    I was a combination of relieved and skeptical, but that's exactly what happened: I did gradually grow out of it.
    Every now and then, though, the tachycardia would show up again. The last time it happened for longer than about a minute or two was 15 years ago, in 2005. And like when I was a teenager, the 200+ pulse would NOT stop.
    I was in a crazy situation, as I had a plane to catch, and had to drive to the airport on the freeway. I was on my own, and I had no time to stop and rest: I'd have missed my flight.
    I was seriously concerned I might pass out cold when driving — but I managed to get to the airport simply through determined, focused effort of will. Safely on the plane, I collapsed in my seat and fell asleep — and woke up an hour later all fine. Just like when I was a kid.
    It's not happened since! And as many readers will know, I regularly hike in the mountains here, long days as high as 15,000 ft, and it's often pretty strenuous. Certainly quite a workout. But of course, that's the very BEST exercise for heart health.
    But this thread isn't about me, it's about Amy. And my situation wasn't the same as hers. (She's also a diabetic, but I have no idea if there's any connection with her heart health.)
    So, my request on her behalf:
    • Have others had similar experiences and/or concerns?
    • If so, what solved the problem?
    • What reassurances can you offer that she'll lead a long, healthy life?
    My experience with heart.
    My father died at age 52 by heart infarct after he struggle all his life and hide his heart problems.
    Somewhere in 2008 or 2009 I have a very short but very powerful pain in the heart and than I learned how is to have heart pain.
    Last year somewhere in October,out of nothing I felt a strong pressure in my heart and start to beat irregularly at a high rate of speed.I stayed patiently and wait what's happen next.After 20-25 minutes she return to her normal beat and not feeling that pressure.
    There were more other symptoms like that described,even 2 times a week.Last one was 2 or 3 months ago.Until last one,the symptoms and time decreased with every event.
    Not having heart issues in the past and these events happened out of nothing and knowing that I'm healthy enough with a slightly minor problems,"seeing" the signs and "connecting the dots" and not knowing the real reason,I can only put these happenings on two hypothesis:
    1-"high electromagnetic interference" - haarplydashurasbx1woodpecker or
    2-shift/event happened or shifting timeline/s or a sort of upgrade...
    In any case it wasn't a natural health problem.
    If this will help Amy in a way...I don't know...
    Pay attention to the wind!
    Sounds a little crazy but my girlfriend has this problem. She had all the checks done with the doctors, which came back all clear.
    Since I was studying astrology for alchemy purposes anyway, we started tracking when she’d have episodes in relation to the planets and solar weather patterns. In every instance, within 2-3 days after the episode, there’d be strong gales and gusts of wind in the local weather.
    I can only conclude that the heart is linked to the sun in some energetic way, and people who are sensitive or empathic enough have hearts that act like barometers for sudden changes in solar weather. Pretty sure this is one of the main reasons ancient cultures paid so much reverence to astrology. You don’t build pyramid structures all over the world just out of curiosity. That level of motivation is more from worrying if you might die at any random moment or not. Astrology helps to see what space weather might be on the horizon which enables you to keep grounded and prepared.
    Assuming there’s no underlying medical conditions, which should absolutely be tested for. If the tests come back all clear — then congratulations — your friend is basically a shaman (with all the existential challenges and worries that might unfortunately bring).
    There’s a Facebook page my girlfriend uses, think it’s this one, Ascension Symptoms Support Group. It’s amazing how many people experience the same symptoms all across the globe at the same time. I’ve seen enough to convince me that medical astrology has a very real and very scientific basis to it at least.
    Hello Bill I've never had tachychardia, but my other half used to get symptoms where her heart would race nineteen to the dozen.
    I remember taking her to Neath General Hospital on a number of occasions, and remember the actual treatment to bring the arrhythmias down as being just as unpleasant. I also remember
    having to force myself to look away from the electrocardiogram equipment showing her sky-high pulse rates. Another memorable occasion was getting an episode on New Years Eve 2000, the hospital being
    full of drunks and New Year revellers at the time.
    Anecdotes aside, what fixed the problem permanently and completely was to have a catheter ablation procedure carried out.
    This involves a heart surgeon passing thin flexible tubes through the veins leading to the heart to identify the location of the arrhythmia. The affected area is then zapped with radio frequencies to knock out the electrical pathways causing the trouble.
    I can reassure your friend that the op is all very straightforward and low-risk. Tony Blair once had the same thing done.
    Hi, I have had some similar issues. Each time it seemed to be conneced to a mineral imbalance. Potassium is usually the first mineral to consider wih the timing of your heart beat. Minerals are funny things and they usually work in conjunction with each other, so it's a good idea to boost all your basic minerals slowly or through your diet.
    Raw cocoa is great for potassium and magnesium and I find them very easily absorbable. It might be a good idea to check food lists for calcium, which will depend on if you can eat milk products or almonds, or many other calcium rich foods.
    Stress or loose motions can deplete poassium very quickly. I keep some of some of those electrolyte disolvable tablets on hand and add them to some water when it's hot sweaty weather or if your getting a weak feeling.
    Including a link with some info about the heart and minerals. 😊 Be well.
    Hi Bill,
    could you ask Amy if she suffers any other symptoms during these episodes? Symptoms such as a dull ache in her left arm, pins and needles or a numb sensation in her extremities such as her fingers, toes or lips? Do they occur at rest or after exertion? Is the onset sudden or does it build up gradually? Does she take any medications and is there any history in the family?
    Btw I’m not a doctor! 😊
    Hi EFO, I am sensiive to eltromagneic frequencies as well. If I put a pad computer close to my body I definitely, even after only 10 seconds, get heart palpiation and I don't have heart problems either 😊.
    Sudden for sure, even just waking up or while in bed or when I'm trying to work or just watching youtube or netflix, it's just completely sudden, even having a bath sometimes
    I do take medication, and also it's a normal thing in my family, just few months ago my older cousin died because of heart illness, so did my great uncle around 4 years ago, and so did my uncle around 9 years ago, it's just a family thing.
    Hi Bill,
    With the symptoms Amy has described, in response to Mare's excellent questions and with her family history, I would definitely suggest to Amy that she push the doctors for relevant tests and a medication review. if nothing else the medics can give Amy a baseline and possible physical factors can be ruled out or dealt with.
    Aside from this, anyone with a history of heart problems could benefit from researching EMF effects on the human body and reducing their home tech, particularly using ethernet instead of WIFI.
    Jayke, I to experience symptoms in strong winds, it may well be solar related and I'm open to that, however, I have felt it as EMF frequencies in the wind over the last few years and it does concern me, as it really interferes with the human energy field in the same way as WIFI or SMART. I take lots of natural remedies to rebalance but I do feel these EMF frequencies around other people's energy field during stormy winds.
    Hi all!
    I have also experienced arythmia (heart going up to 200 beats per minutes on short bursts and also for longer periods) following a very stressful episode in my life about 20 years ago!
    I have been taking Hawthorn 500 mg capsules to curb and control this situation. It took me about two weeks (3 capsules a day with every meal) to regain normalcy! I have now gradualy reduced the intake of this plant to one capsule every 2 days!
    Lately, the condition came partly back because of a change in Wifi modems (frequencies emitted were higher)! So I do think that electromagnetic interference is a factor!
    I am exploring Tachyon based products to harmonize the E interference and have good results with this technology!
    Hope this helps,
    Hi Bill,
    With the symptoms Amy has described, in response to Mare's excellent questions and with her family history, I would definitely suggest to Amy that she push the doctors for relevant tests and a medication review. if nothing else the medics can give Amy a baseline and possible physical factors can be ruled out or dealt with.
    Aside from this, anyone with a history of heart problems could benefit from researching EMF effects on the human body and reducing their home tech, particularly using ethernet instead of WIFI.
    Jayke, I to experience symptoms in strong winds, it may well be solar related and I'm open to that, however, I have felt it as EMF frequencies in the wind over the last few years and it does concern me, as it really interferes with the human energy field in the same way as WIFI or SMART. I take lots of natural remedies to rebalance but I do feel these EMF frequencies around other people's energy field during stormy winds.
    Yeah, we live under a flight path and have definitely noticed how planes flying over head can trigger it, probably the radar from the airport towers. We’re also in quite a secluded spot without too much other electro-smog around though. The lockdown these past 3 months has actually been great for us. Without the planes polluting the sky, we’ve had a crystal clear view of the stars at night, the countryside has really flourished and a lot of the lichin disappeared from the trees.
    Paul Babcock, an electrical and ‘aether‘ engineer, actually did a presentation a few years back on some of the science behind it. EMF’s are definitely parasitic to the dielectric lines of force that life requires to thrive (‘dielectrics‘ are the scientifically accepted word Wilhelm Reichs ‘orgone’ energy).
    ===========
    In The Living Earth, Paul covers quite a few topics from the electrical sciences to spirituality. The presentation starts with defining consciousness and its relationship to The Universal Medium and how we can use this to co-create our world.
    The relationship between the Earth and Sun is broken down in detail and is the basis of the Lifeforce Generating mechanism of The Living Earth.
    The human lifeforce energy is discussed in detail and how many cultures have their own specific language to discuss it as well as the method used to intake this energy into our body for storage.
    It is vitally important to understand how the intuitive and reasoning minds must work together to truly have wisdom and understanding in these topics and that many inner and outer world balances are a theme that runs throughout this presentation - in other words - BALANCE.
    Paul then takes us on a journey into the basics of the fact that our Universe is electrical, which is not a new idea, but it still runs contrary to much of the conventional astro science. The capacitive nature of stars and living planets is all important when it comes to understanding life force generating mechanisms. Charged dielectric mediums and longitudinal wave propagation are the medium and energy of life.
    Radiant energy is discussed in detail and how it plays into the Earth's lifeforce generating mechanism. This is explained in simple terms so a background in the electrical sciences is not necessary. This presentation is for everybody.
    Paul goes heavily into atmospheric electricity and our connection to it as well as the various conditions that assist or degrade the lifeforce or orgone creation process. Some of these natural processes are show in comparison to electrical component equivalents to make it easier to understand.
    This presentation leads to us human beings being able to fully realize our potential and this entire process is augmented by enhancing our intake of the life force energy and enhancing these processes around us.
    I had developed similar problems after prolonged stress, suffered no heart issues in childhood, could rely on my heart almost 100%.
    Some prolonged stress even I don’t remember when or how it started, some disclosure related, years of home isolation and on computer and coping with mums dramatic state of health, ambulances, another person with her then, similar issues. Calls for ambulances, all times stress.
    Did not sort it all quite yet but feeling much better here in the mountains, especially when it’s peaceful. Can not stand loud music or noises.
    Can get overloaded emotionally in an instant by seeing people suffer. Too much suffering every...where.
    The only ever thing that helps to fix it for me is walking. Guess it’s rhythmical and natural exercise, the only healthy exercise I can recommend.
    Walking against the mountains in fresh air really helps to strengthen the heart muscle. But can’t recommend it to everyone if they feel unfit because it can bring your symptoms on. At later stages, never force yourself to overwork but find quiet places to enjoy your time and see if it improves something.
    Also, if you can find any good friends to laugh with, laughing for some reason has tremendous healing power. It has to be real and spontaneous thing, of course.
    Find a supportive group, the only condition is they have to be happy people.
    Take magnesium, extra potassium( or more bananas). Increase your protein intake.
    Red grape juice, pomegranate juice, citruses are not so good for heart issues, try to alkalise your diet( some people with cardiac issues swear on half spoon of baking soda in glass of water). All kinds of red fruits and berries, blueberries and cranberries if you can eat them regularly, also apricots.
    Keep stable room temperature most of the time, no extremes, cold showers also help to some people long term. Not necessarily to females for many different reasons but even one can do a miracle if it’s not too bad.
    It’s sortable if you wish 🐢
    One possible hereditary cause is “leaky valve”. Many people live with the condition all life not knowing the cause but the tear in the valve can be so small till old age it’s practically undetectable.
    Edit: In children and young people there’s condition known as mitral valve prolapse. Please read about it as it’s not uncommon. In many cases the lapse closes naturally before reaching adulthood but it should be monitored and there’s rather uncomplicated surgical treatment that fixes the issue.
    That’s not great.
    Sending prayers and wish you all the best 🙏🕊🕊🕊🙏
    Agape, I always feel re balanced with laughter and in nature. Love the mountains and the sea.
    Jayke, low flying planes, especially military planes definitely negatively affect the human energy field. I'm pleased you've had some positivity through lock-down, through the beauty of nature. I have orgonite. Good well made pieces can help you maintain a good degree of life force in an EMF'd world.
    no-ones blood pressure is consistent during the entire day; my values range per day between 165/85 (slightly bad) to 115/53 (good)-
    so don't take any one single medical test taken during a few minutes of our lives as being cemented in stone as a prognosis for the rest of our lives- there are always many variables-
    Based on personal experience, I would suggest that Amy consult a holistic doctor as there may be unknowing chemical and other imbalances that go unnoticed and therefore untreated. When it occurs try placing both hands on the heart, and focus the mind on slowing down pulse and evening the heart rate.
    Yes, definitely the first thing I would go for! Plus, as you said, electrolytes in general. Depending on her adrenals also sodium can be low (and make the symptoms stronger).
    (Especially if she FEELS the arrhythmia, I would go for Vitamin C + sodium + potassium a couple times a day).
    Hi Amy, and thanks Bill.
    Sorry for the late response to your answers but I’ve been working until very late.
    Firstly may I say that it must be absolutely awful for you Amy never knowing when a new onset might occur. Having experienced something very similar myself and also witnessed it in others on many, many occasions I know how terrifying it can be.
    Now I’m in no position to diagnose anyone, that is of course the job of a doctor. I can offer some advise and guidance as to what I suspect it may be speaking as a health care professional. I’m also assuming that Amy has already consulted her doctors who have ruled out any cardiac dysfunction through bloods and an Electrocardiogram or ECG. If not request one and rule anything cardiac related out. This will take a lot of the weight off your mind.
    The red flag for me is the pins and needles, the random nature of the episodes and the occasional dull sensations in the left arm. It’s the first question we would ask a patient under these circumstances.
    “Do you have pins and needles in your fingertips, tingling in your lips?” We also look to see if the patients respiration’s are faster than normal. These are key indicators that the patients blood is over oxygenated, but I’ll get to that shortly. Amy is also a young woman who I’m sure has a strong healthy heart which will serve her well for at least another fifty years!
    Amy’s symptoms would indicate Hyperventilation Syndrome which is the name given to a collection of physical and emotional symptoms brought on by over-breathing or breathing too fast and too shallow, and stress. Stress is the big one.
    In effect the body becomes over-oxygenated and loses its oxygen/carbon-dioxide balance resulting in lots of frightening side-effects just as Amy describes. For a really informative explanation of Hyperventilation Syndrome please click on the link below.
    http://www.dchs.nhs.uk/assets/public...20Syndrome.pdf
    Many of my patients would shake their heads at the suggestion they were hyperventilating (in the old days they called it a ‘panic attack’) because of stress but I cannot emphasise enough the effect on the human body this mechanical act has. It is reversible though with a simple breathing technique.
    When it happened to me I was sanding the floors of my new house with a hired industrial sander. I was wearing a face mask to prevent the inhalation of sawdust but felt like the mask was failing because I couldn’t catch my breath. I switched off the sander and climbed the stairs to the first storey to escape the clouds of dust. It didn’t work. I climbed the stairs to the little attic room and opened the windows. Still I couldn’t catch my breath. I started to feel a sense of panic. My respiration’s increased and I couldn’t fill my lungs. My heart began to race and I felt like I was about to have a heart attack. I stood up and tried to ignore what was happening. I sat down and put my head between my knees. I stood up again and circled the room. It was then I realised I was hyperventilating. I couldn’t believe it, me having a panic attack!?
    I began to practise what I’d preached to hundreds of my patients.
    Inhale slowly for 4 seconds.
    Hold for 4 seconds.
    Exhale slowly for 4 seconds.
    Continue. Repeat.
    I did this over and over until I began to feel a sense of calm return. I realised the stress of moving house, trying to getting everything finished while doing a full time job was getting the better of me. I told myself to stop worrying so much. I’ve not had one since, but I’ve felt them coming occasionally and used the breathing technique to halt the onset. Now I see them as a sign to stop what I’m doing for a few moments and deal with what’s stressing me.
    Next time you feel those symptoms Amy try it. Really concentrate and know you’re in charge. Inhale 4 seconds. Hold 4 seconds. Exhale 4 seconds. Repeat.
    The process will re-establish the balance between oxygen and carbon dioxide. It works and it worked for me. Try it. It’s a little like a meditation. The next important step is to try to understand what is bringing these episodes about. In many ways I think it’s the body saying enough is enough! ‘You’re stressed, now you’re making me stressed!’
    I’d say 90% of my patients who suffer these episodes at some point in their lives would deny having any stress at all. I think however, we’ve just learned to cover it up so well we even kid ourselves that it’s not there. On a positive note, if you’re going to have a health problem Hyperventilation Syndrome is the one you want because it requires no operations and no medications to fix. Sometimes it goes away by itself never to return, and sometimes you might need some counselling to help you. If this is the case with you Amy, I’m sure Bill could offer you some excellent advise. I hope this helps you.
    Best of luck Amy and much love xx
    Default Re: Heart problems and arrhythmias
    Heart arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation are something I've become pretty familiar with. Both of my parents had atrial fibrillation toward the ends of their lives. There were no structural problems for either of them according to the western medical doctors they consulted. Both were given warfarin to thin the blood in order to prevent stroke. (Nasty drug.) Apparently, when the heart does not beat regularly for a prolonged period of time there is a potential for the blood to thicken and clot because it is not kept moving smoothly through the blood vessels.
    I have heart arrhythmias on occasion myself, these days. Sometimes it lasts for just a few minutes, sometimes for more than a day. If they are bad or prolonged, I can feel faint and trembly, barely able to function, as my body is not being adequately supplied with blood and oxygen. For me, I believe it is entirely due to stress of an emotional nature. Kind of like a panic attack. In Traditional Chinese medicine, the heart is the seat of the spirit.
    "The heart has special importance in TCM [Traditional Chinese Medicine] as it is seen to be the 'ruler' of all the other organs, and when the body is healthy and balanced, it is a kind of benevolent leader. The heart houses the Shen. The Shen is a difficult concept to explain. The best comparison is to say the the Shen is equivalent to the spirit or soul, but it also encompasses the mind."
    https://www.chinesemedicineliving.co...ans/the-heart/
    I believe that if the spirit is unhappy or there are feelings and thoughts of abandonment, loss, grief or betrayal, even left over from childhood, it can directly affect the physical heart. So if Amy is having any of this sort of thing going on, working on her emotional well-being might be a good place to start.
    In addition to that, I have tried a lot of stuff to get my heart back to it's normal rhythm. Sometimes things work and then another time the same thing doesn't work. One thing that has been working for me lately is homeopathic Hydrastis canadensis 30C which I take only once or twice. Pretty easy to find at a health food store. I am not a doctor or health practitioner of any kind so I am not prescribing anything, just letting you know what's worked for me.
    I have never gone to a western doctor for this issue because I watched both of my parents suffer at their hands and find no relief. I would recommend a good, experienced acupuncturist or Chinese herbalist for real support for Amy.
    There are some theories that heart arrhythmias are related to the vagus nerve. Kind of like when you get hiccups, the vagus nerve is sending wacky signals and needs to be surprised back to normal. How many home remedies are there to "cure" hiccups? Same kind of thing. One way to supposedly cure heart arrhythmia is to stick your head under very cold water or you could try just running your wrist under very cold water. (Not kidding. Once, one doctor in a hospital where my dad was staying was considering sticking my dad's head in a bucket of ice water. My dad's heart went back to normal before they had a chance to try it.)
    Good luck to Amy! If she is very young, maybe it is just part of her growing cycle. I've heard, like you, Bill, that this can happen to teenagers and young adults like a sort of glitch in the growth cycle.
