Default Economic Crash Predictions - Not Fear Porn, Just Part of Natural Economic Cycles

    Howdy Folks,

I really liked this presentation which is rooted in historical precedence so thought it would be a good springboard for discussion. It is a quick summary of the predictions and philosophies of billionaire Ray Dalio. I may have lost some of you at billionaire, but I think this is a fair and balanced recap of where we were, where we are, and where we are going as it relates to the economy.

A few things I like about this presentation is that it does talk about a coming economic crash but shows that, based on historical cycles, this was always going to be the case. We are just the (un)lucky ones who get to live through it. Additionally, there are also suggestions and tips that we can all consider following as a way to hedge against any perceived risk to our finances.

This may/will cause some hardship to us when the crisis is fully felt, but perhaps this is the price of the breaking down of old paradigms that don't serve us anymore. Of course the money magicians are still waving their wands over the world economy but that doesn't mean there can't be opportunity for us to prosper during the shift.

With any economic crash you can bet that the people at the top are well informed ahead of time and know how to benefit, and when the dust settles a huge wealth transfer has occurred from the little people to the financial institutions via calling in loans etc.

This coming crash may feature a shift of power to the east but it is the same establishment pulling the strings. Some little people may know how to capitalise on this, but most will lose out, as intended.

We are in this stage of the pandemic where the zombie companies kept alive by the financial drip, start to try to stand up again, in a very different world, often with far fewer customers but continuing overhead levels. We have not yet seen the real carnage that this virus will cause.
we have subcontracted the business of healing people to Companies who profit from sickness.

I hope so too. It seems that when we use history as a precedent, he's most likely not off by that much. One thing I feel is for certain is that we haven't yet begun to feel the impacts of this pandemic.

I agree regarding financial crash but its nothing to do with the "pandemic" this is deliberate, wanton destruction.
Im not being critical just keeping focused on the real "culprits"

Agreed, Chris. I think they are/will use the pandemic as a scapegoat for plans that were put into motion decades or even centuries ago. It certainly seems that their plans have accelerated. I hear that being said a lot in conspiracy circles but in the global climate we find ourselves in today, I think it is actually true.

It seems a lot of fast food chains are enjoying doing drive-through only service. They may hold out as long as possible to make that the new normal, until their competition forces them back to dine-in, anyway.
